Both of these greats are captains in their country's national team. Cr7 has been successful winning two championships with his average team. As a captain, when they lose, they lose together and when they win, they win together. Cristiano has never shifted blame as the captain or avoid to be blamed when they fail to win. He is a motivation in his team. A great model captain.

On the other hand, Messi seems to hate to accept the blame on behalf of his team. On couple of occasions he has dumped his team after major losses. He has retired severally and has never acted the way a captain should.

For the very first time that Barcelona has been brought to their knees for real, guess what? As usual, he has dumped the team that he has been made captain of.
