New uptrend leg is still on, bulls may slow down today, look for resistance around 15263.78. Still not a time to let down our guards, especially with the FED due to deliver important at an important Annual event on Friday.

IT SEEMS THERE IS A JAGABAN AMONG THE US TRADING APPS
On a lighter mood today. Trading is like politics. You go where the probability of winning is higher or the risk is lower. No wonder many politicians are moving from PDP to APC and APC to PDP if it would enhance their chances.

Now I am moving some of my tradings to the Jagaban of the trading platforms. Which one is Jagaban among them all? Coincidentally some of the characteristics of our Jagaban are as follows:

- Has money to play around with, just got some USD1.5m funding from overseas (this is like the bullion van of Dollars). No wonder some people are jealous of the Dollars
- It is located in Ikoyi, not too far from Bourdilon.
Somebody better tell that man looking for someone that is stealing dollars to look somewhere else, our Jagaban has secured some dollars from overs.

I believe we will know the Nigerian platform that is the Jagaban of them all. Just like MKO, if somebody is looking for stolen Dollars, our Jagaban has a bullion van full of Dollars, they should look for their stolen Dollars somewhere else!!!

Market pulling back to uptrend, let us watch the resistance around 14894.61, zone. New week will likely start on a favorable mode for bitcoin and Covid related stocks. We can see this from the Friday aftermarket figures below.

In as much as I appreciate the good effort of some forum members, you guys should be careful of what you say here. There are spies lurking.

The quote above is real wisdom. Let us not expose things that can create more problems for the Fintechs or our investments, there can be moles around.

Whatever issue the authorities are having with any fintech now will likely come and pass. However, let us apply wisdom in what we do personally. We should not allow any novice to talk about what they do not know (simple you are not investing your money with anybody, you have/will buy shares which are in your name, fully documented and for which you receive regular notice or dividend as the case may be)

Market still retracing, brace up for some bumpy price action, support is fairly down the line around 14,178.70

We have no option but to be in sectors/stocks that can withstand the expected down move now in play. Note that this down move is traceable to rising Covid/expected tapering (reducing bond buying or reducing flow of money into the economy) action.

Unfortunately I have nothing to sell at the moment or unutilised balance on any of the 2 platforms I am using. I would have sold a Nigeria Stock on Chaka and see what will happen to the transaction.

Nevertheless let us keep the forum updated on this matter.

I observed that users of this forum are unlike NSEMPA, most seems to be reasonable and matured individuals. Please let us keep it up and we should continue to find a way out for ourselves. I want to wait to hear that somebody, have tried withdrawal and is not possible, then the option of asking Chaka or Trove to tell Drivewealth to transfer our account temporarily to a broker in another Country, allow the situation to become normal in Nigeria, then our accounts can come back.

Still keeping our arms crossed as we kinow there is definitely a way out. Thank God the Platform are not 419ers.

The market is currently in a bearish zone, with Fed speaking before the market, to see what the market will do, we are still in risk-off mode. The probability for today is that the bearish move will be less than what we saw yesterday.

Try and withdraw and see if you can withdraw. Just wondering, why was Passfolio excluded from the CBN court issue?

Passfolio is operationg from outside Nigeria, that is why it is not listed. Unfortunately for somebody like me, I will not go to passfolio as I believe it is still a Nigerian operating outside the country- this what CBN is asking for Chaka/Trove can go and be operating from Ghana or anywhere outside Nigera and Nigerians will still patrise them, (for passfolio I read their 1st introductory article in Punch Newspaper and what the fellow talk about making money from Customers deposit made me uncomfortable, money in my trading account is for trading, it is always in transit, if i want to save money I will open a depost account).

Our plan B should be for us to get our International passport and be prepared to open account with foreign Brokers like etoro, Trade212, for those outside Nigeria very easy the like of Fidelity is there. Just like the Ladipo boys or any medium size importers are getting their money from Bureau De change, we get our Dollar outside the CBN system and then patronise the Foreign Brokers, Forex trading has been going on for ages like this.

Chaka, Trove and co will develop the Nigerian economy as the patronage of Foreign Stockbrokers will reduce if they are allow to operate.

Let us hear what the Fintechs will say. But from the exchange rates these Fintechs are using, they are not using CBN's money. The Money seems to be from Bureau de change as per what I can see from Aboki FX.

Since the shares are with a major stockbroker either local or outside Nigeria, I believe the firms will do fast to make alternative arrangements for shareholders to access their shares. At least we are sure that the shares exist as we have been receiving direct communication/dividends from the various companies. I want to be objective on this matter, I know I am the one controling my investment, so it is not a case of giving my money to anybody as investment or buying anything directly from the Fintech Platform (the fraudulent operators are always in you invedsting directly with them, or you give then money for an indirect investment).

[/b]. The fintechs are just serving as alternatives, instead of patronising foreign stockbrokers directly by Nigerians which is the alternative.

Let us wait to hear how we can have access to our shares first and then we will know what to do next.

Market still in unpredictable mood (there seems to be danger in the market today except something exceptional happens, bears likely to be on rampage, we may need to keep our cash to catch good stocks at cheap prices another day apart from today).

The good thing going on for this market is that US Government continue to spend money to release money into the pocket of the people, this is good news for the market as this will reduce the bearish pressure as we move on.

US STOCK PICKS 13 AUGUST

The market is still in a dangerous zone, a lot of profit-takings is likely to be going on.

AAPL is in a good buy zone, has pulled back and its price is ready to continue moving up. When I look at so many stocks and their old prices, this is not the time to be a diamond hand, we just need to keep to small stops as much as possible.

Also, by buying and selling from time to time we can make a big profit on a few sets of stock trading them over and over again. Just like this AAPL example above. We bought SAVA on Wednesday and we are already in profit that is above 10%, the good thing about a stock like SAVA is that it is good for the long term, but I will not be a bag holder ( I continue to stay in the middle between a paper hand and diamond and. What are paper hand and diamond hands, you can check Google?

Despite the market looking scary, our system is still able to escape those stocks that may fall very big, this system has turned our trade around. I am happy to show our recent trades below. We will stick to the 8 to 10% maximum stop rule as much as possible, I don't want to find myself in a bag-holding position again like somebody who does not have a system. A[b]lso, the pool of stock we now consider are few and with high probability, despite the fact that I have not to look at Barchart.com for like 2 weeks (I have seen that our alternative idea sources are simple to use, the sources are in our Trading Manual and most are free, all I have to do is put them in our trading system to know when to buy).[/b]

MARKET COMMENT FOR 12 AUG

Today is a day when the market can go anywhere, we need to avoid big risk at this time as some equities are behaving contrary to expectation, we may need to slowdown for things to become clearer.

On VXRT, the stock is behaving just like other Covid vaccine stocks so it is not an isolated problem, but if we have any fear depending on our entry point, if we see a loss of more than 10% after today (unlikely looking at price action, but market is the final judge), better to trigger our stop loss and leave some quantities in our portfolio for the medium term.

LIVE MARKET UPDATE
NASDAQ stocks are retracing from their recent highs, suprisingly the Covid stocks too are caught in the bearish web, at a time like this, if there is a stock close to our stop loss level and in profit/in industry that is becoming bearish, better to cash out.

It is important to follow to as much possible the good practice of cuting short our losses (very difficult but true) a good example is any loss that mistakenly goes above 50%, that money is close to being lost except it is cryptos that can move like crazy. The bottom line is we just need to cut our losses recovering from 8% loss only requires about 12% gain on the next trade, for a 50% loss you need 100% gain on your next trade

Let us remember there is time for everything, a time to slow down (usually to be used to better our investing strategy). This is where low commission matters with 1% commission we should not be afraid of selling with small loss or profit as the case may be to protect our account. Equally small commission will enable us to test some stocks with small amounts prior to committing bigger funds when market start improving.

Let us stay safe.

As the market await the some US inflation related reports tommorow , we may see less volatility in the market. Somehow, so many equities are in the oversold zone we need to wait for some retracement. We can keep these stocks on our watchlist let us see when they will retrace for possible entry points: ARLP,QS and EXPR.

For VXRT, it is stable at premarket showing price as 9.27 or 0.1% above yesterday closing figure. Fundamentally no negative news that will affect stock at the time of this post.

FOLLOW UP ON RECOMMENDATION OF VXRT ON 11 AUGUST 2021
The stock close 5.21% lower for the day on profit taking. Fundamental for stock is still intact as the battle with Covid 19 is not yet over, market is waiting for a pill for Covid from the company. If you hv bought close to the low it is okay, we will see what will happen tomorrow. As long as the stock does not go beyond the lowest of 10.00 and 8.69 there is not much to worry about.

1st Target is still 13.13, and from the chart analysis, this looks achievable in the next few weeks especially with Covid still in the new plus a new "lamda variant", vaccine stocks will continue to be relevant.

We will follow up on this tomorrow again. We cannot loose sleep on this type of stock as there is no other Covid tablet development going on on the US or Europe

Today is a no bullshit day, we go straight to the point, our stock for today is VXRT, a breakout to the bullish side just occur, we are looking for a take profit level at $13.18.

The week is likely to start on a bearish note, but no need to worry yet, the NASDAQ composite needs to break out of this 14,776.03 to 14896.47 range for us to know the next likely leg of the market. On a general note, we can say the market is still in a bullish mood.

MARA is about to deliver 10% in about trading 3 days (see the premarket extract below ) as per our recent comment, this our new system/manual is making us look good.
