IF I MUST BUY A STOCK THIS WEEK WITHOUT 2 MANY CHOICES AND WILL GO TO BED PEACEFULLY

If we have the patience to wait and take some heat temporarily if it seem the idea did not work out initially, I will go for GPRO (Go Pro Inc ) as the coy is likely to beat earnings come 5 November 2020. I am upbeat about this stock if I look at what happened to SNAP (GPRO is just in similar business like SNAP), 50% gain in about 3 days!! It is possible here too, with the stock just moving past the 50 and 200 EMA and price above $5, I am sure the short sellers are getting ready to say bye to their money the risk is against the short sellers.

Market still in fearful mode, we should prepare ourselves for another bearish day with the stimulus bill still hanging in the air. It is doubtful if the positive earnings can lift this market as we move deeper into the election period. Tuesday was not a bad day. Sold some quantities of HMHC, to have some ammunition to play with. SOL and VXRT [/b]delivered as expected. Bigger gain was made in our portfolio with Chaka (only our subscriber can see the portfolio): [b]BGFV, NK [/b]and [b]GPRO were super. If you are not in GPRO yet, don’t attempt to buy at the moment, if it reverse, you can get crushed. You may be better off in the likes of VBIV . Our watch list is loaded, I do not want to add more, but PVR (retractable tech) is looking good too. The short squeeze setting up in GPRO looks fantastic, we are enjoying this game!!! We look forward to the market opening again today.

Concerning Chaka going back to $2 minimum charge, it is very unfortunate. The we will start our own operation #EndchakaNow, with immediate effect effect I am stopping using chaka. Going forward, the likes of [b]Infinity Futures are really my target, I don't really like local things, but we try to squeeze (some many tickers not available after taking time to do research)yourself to use the like of chaka but they want to mess up, good luck to them.

DIVIDEND FOR 30 UNITS OF FRO JUST LANDED


Very happy this morning that dividend for FRO just hit my wallet. The most interesting this is that there was no tax deduction (Midstream Company), dividend was treated as if paid by a Reit.

OUR PORTFOLIO CONSTRUCTION IS VERY IMPORTANT
It is a fact that market has been going down for the past 3 weeks. However, if we are diversified in our portfolio we may nor feel the bearish effect much. Looking at the bearish expectation of the market, I just look at the premarket prices, but some of our recent picks have shown some level of optimism again like (VBIV) and other Covid'19 related stocks. We need to know our game well or else we will get killed by unnecessary fear.

For the current week, we are picking TWI (Titan Industries), main reason is that fact that the company will likely benefit from the next stimulus package and is close to a breakout level/strong uptrend. [/b]On a general note [b]Tesla, company is in so many good businesses that are likely to spring surprises on the positive side is likely to be a good stock if we look to buy on hitting support level, we can buy part like 0.10 units, less than $50.

On the dividend yield side DHT will always have our vote anytime, when I look at the staff strength of this company I always wonder if the figure of under 10 staff can be true for a profitable business like this, I will seek to investigate further.

I saw this post yesterday morning and I quickly did some research on EV stocks. My quick search lead me to Electrameccanica Vehicle (SOLO) among other viable stocks also considering the fact that it is a small cap stock. With the information I read, it seems quite promising and I bought a few number of shares. Between yesterday and today, I'm up 59.5%. Although I don't know what brought about this huge increase but I'm glad I didnt delay when I saw Oakpeal's post.

MARKET UPDATE FOR OPENING OF 26 JUNE 2020

Market down on Thursday 9 gainers and 8 losers index closed at 24,625.24 compared with 24,654.99 for the previous trading day. The loss for the week is -0.81%, as at this morning. we expect a small bounce in the market today. However, overall this week goes to the bears. Wishing everyone happy weekend.

We need to diversify to International equities. The US market is fantastic and mind blowing; “INO” Inovio Pharmaceuticals, has already made a gain of over 3.3% as at this morning (after close of market yesterday). The company is expected to make some announcements soon that will sustain the trend base on the test the vaccine that is taking place in South Korea. Therefore, the trend is still our friend here. You need to continue your subscription as I believe the International stock market is the “DEAL”. I made a rough calculation of the value of the stock traded yesterday around 8.30 pm West Africa Time (market closes 9.30pm WA Time), it was worth $2.4Billion, also the "RobinHood day traders" cannot move this type of stock, the big funds are just scooping up this stock like mad.

STOCKS TO AVOID ON NIGERIA STOCK EXCHANGE/MARKET UPDATE FOR WEEK ENDED 19 JUNE

The stock market has not changed (since the days of Wyckoff, JP M0rgan etc), the game sometimes is designed to lure innocent public to make unprofitable trades. The scheme will be like a bait, initially the big moneys will buy some quantities; when the intention is actually to offload some high volume to the retail public). When the retail public see the big buying, the retail public will then start buying,subtly big money will then offload a very large volume after which the price of such equity will fall. I hope we get the logic of the game.

I deliberately put ABC transport in our covid test, when I saw some volume showing up recently (but immediately I look at the Audited Financial Statement of Financial Position (http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/30237_ABC_TRANSPORT_PLC_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_MAY_2020.pdf) and saw that the retained earnings was negative I made a retreat. However, on technical analysis ground, if the stock goes above NGN0.54, we may see another Pfizer price jump in play again. Looking at the risk side, I will not touch this type of equity with a long pole. Going forward with Interstate and Inter-country lock-downs I wonder what the June 2020 will look like!!!

For most foreign stocks the dividend yield are very low. If you need dividend yield Nigerian stocks are better.

However, if you are so much comfortable with dividend yields: this is one we came across in our scanning the market. I believe the risk on the downside is minimal, ticker is BTG (B2Gold Corp).

 The business is portable or easily movable. This means you can take your business (and yourself) anywhere you want – Lagos, Accra, Porthacourt, Kano, Maiduguri etc.
 The business is relatively free of all kinds of government and industry regulations and strictures

Base on our charting system fundamental backroom engine; CI Leasing bounced up recently, immediate term looks okay, if you are ready to jump out after the earnings release (which is likely to be a fair result, our gauge is telling us about 20% improvement over 2018 figures), on medium term there is risk.

Ecobank, due to non dividend payment for some years, we want to avoid equities like this. Equally June 2020 earning expectation is having a forecast of -25% (negative) compared with 2019 June. Except you are ardent risk taker, my answer is no for this type of stock.
