TODAY IS A NO BUYING DAY
With VIX at record high, the bears are on total rampage.

Tomorrow thing may be better. Today we keep our cash. Cash is also a position, at least we are keeping our money for better use to buy at lower prices.

Let us stick to good principles of investing. For a time like this quality of stock matters.

For us at this point, dividend paying stocks are important.

LESSON FROM MY OLD CLASS NOTE

For some of us who had formal training in Finance. We have an edge over others in this market as we can still fall back to what we were taught if the market becomes too difficult or getting to a troublesome level.

Today the market is reminding me of how to forecast the expected high and low for the day. I remember I posted this in NSEMPA (if not in NSEMPA may be in scribd.com) some years past, probably around 2018 or so.

As they market is about to shout[b] "pens up"[/b] on some stocks, this is our forecast for expected high/low for today in respect of LCID, I have for my other holding too and will likely be part of our weekly subscriber stock recommendation package; high - 23.24 , Low- 21.63. If the stock loses somehow near the expected low we take some profits.

The market is a zero sum game. If you are playing without a system, you will pay for it with losses showing in your account. . The solution is to get a trading system like out Trading Plan Blueprint Manual.

Bulls are still in the game as market is currently standing in a demand zone. Our stock pick to start the wee are GT, TELL. With Fed meeting during the week, volatility is likely to be low till Fed finishes their meeting. At a period like this taking profits that are above 20% is okay, as we can buy same stock repeatedly for profits in this 20% range or thereabout.

MARKET UPDATE 17 SEPT 2021
For our portfolio, not a bad day; 2 of our stop loss were hit for a fair profit +20%.


No complain. We are not buying anything today, except we see a big begging opportunity for easy profit but looking at the high VIX we want to put our emotion in check, thank God I am about to go out and will not press any phone.

At this dangerous time we want to build up our defence with dividend paying stocks (but ones that will not likely fall in price).

UNDERSTAND THAT BIG FUNDS DON''T WANT RETAIL INVESTORS TO MAKE MONEY IN THE MARKET

In the last 2 days I have seen pure conspiracy to make the retail investors to remain a novice? This has been the case for a long time even prior to the days of Jesse Livermore. I feel unhappy looking at the LCID gaining 6% again in premarket today, thus if I had relied on JP Morgan downgrading the stock with $12 target when the stock was at $18 and this matter is serious on the day of downgrade the stock lost like 5%, you know the press they have to fo the bidding of big advertisers, the downgrade will be carried as press release by major media (they don't want to lose the future patronage of a major client).

I did not support meme and Game Stock gang before, but with what I saw in LCID and GSKY (I own the 2 stocks and nearly lost out to the manipulation in GSKY when stock lost 12% a day before a takeover announcement that produced 54% rise immediately) meme stock gang are right, big funds should be paid back in their own coin. it should be noted that big funds are no more the Custodian of the media and trado g know how. Some of the meme stock gang meme stock reddit members were former Hedge Fund Employees and they equally have the dollars plus equipments (they don't trade on IPhone only) to inflict maximum loss on these market manipulators.

Today the fact that some news are intended to deceive retail traders is real, not a fiction. This is a stock that has the best people (staffs from Tesla, Apple etc), access to money from Saudi Investors and a product that is about to start to be released into the market. That news is pure deceit. Again this emphasised why we need to know what we are doing.

We need to understand the principle that these Global Stock Apps are operating on. Just like a local stockbroker once you buy the stock, all your matter are out of their hands. If you have bought stock your shares are with an International Stockbroker or if Nigerian stock (a local big stockbroker), subsequent communication/dividend will come from the company you have bought shares from, the only thing that connects you and these APP is dividend coming to you wallet and mind you, the APPS can decide to move their office to Ghana or any other Country (and business with continue as before), it does not affect you as long as your shares have been bought ,shares just like Nigeria where your shares resides with CSCS if anything happens or you dont like your broker, there is a way CSCS will transfer your shares to a new stockbroker.

Above is the simplest explanation I can give. I am not a spoke person for any app. If you are in double write to your target organisation and you will get a good response.

STAY WITH GLOBAL/NIGERIAN STOCK TRADING ONLY THE RISK IS MINIMAL

Trading stock puts everything under your control, you receive direct communication from the company and the dividend drops in your wallet regularly without asking .

I will avoid forex as it is too volatile all your money can disappear with few violent moves and God will safe those of us that are not used to stops/taking small profits forex may be an invitation for trouble unless you are highly experienced in trading and have necessary facility like good internet, good computer and fairly stable power to keep your system on.
In stock trading you can make mistake, suffer small loss and your account is not likely to be wiped off totally. If you suffer loss in stock at least your stock is there, it may still come back, in forex if you suffer big loss your money is gone for good.

If you are a member of this forum do not invest your money with anybody or any unknown organization (Stanbic, Mansard, Fed Bond / Treasury Bills etc are fair) , scanners are too many on the prowl. avoid Instalment land purchase where after paying for land you are likely to be slammed with development/documentation fee that will be more than double the cost of installment you have paid. I hope we are all aware of that PortHarcourt Pastor forex scam and the recent agriculture farm investment scam?

1% FLAT BY CHAKA/TROVE IS GOOD- CHAKA NEED TO ADD MORE STOCS

I am enjoying these Apps, the commission is okay (looking at Nigeria unfriendly business environment). However Chaka need to add as many equities as Trove.

In terms of availability of equities Trove is king and unchallegeable leader, although platform sometimes display funny prices, for which confirmation from Chaka becomes handy.

On the whole these Apps have become indispensable for Global/local stock trading. They should keep on doing the good work they are doing and should also be looking at bringing stock options.

US STOCK PICKS FOR 8 SEPT- UPDATE

Market a little bit on the uncertain path at the moment. We may not be interested in new equities at the moment except we see a textbook Trading Plan Blueprint setup, and we are going to use stocks in our watchlist like: GSKY, ARRY etc.

The Nigeria stock that our system picked up (UCAP) is still on the move, we will do some scanning again for the Nigerian stocks and pick another one again with a Trading Plan Blueprint Manual Set up. How I wish I can reverse all those losses in my portfolio that were picked up from YouTube advises , but no problem, Trading Plan Blueprint Manual is reconstructing my portfolio and I can say I am very happy.

I cannot believe that I recommended the above stock (GSKY) on 8th and today 50% profit is in my pocket. By the way just as we have told our whatsapp group members ARRY did not pass our entry test when we fix the figures in our chart.

We are still selling the system, but if only few people are buying, it is okay, at least those other people not buying will continue to supply us with profits!!!

Yesterday was a bearish day, even for energy stocks, the bulk of them retraced, the buying opportunities were not clear.. NASDAQ below 15169.44 support level, is worrisome, we need to wait for the bulls to start coming back. We are stepping back for some time, probably we may wait till next week.

MARKET UPDATE

Something went wrong in the market today. So much selling. One of those few days were the best action is just to forget buying but focus on saving the porfolio.

One of the fear I have for this market is this share offerings that are appearing from all corners.

For us the rest of the week is likely to be spent protecting our portfolio and improving on our trading system (nothing to add, but just to become more perfect towing the same line) a system that is not broke need no fixing.

Market opened on high optimism, but ended on the bearish side.

Another day to remember the rule of diversification such that one unexpeted loss do not bring down our whole portfolio.

A good fighter should know when to run away. For this week further buys are closed.

Tommorow or next week is another day, there is always a return leg for matches.

US STOCK PICKS FOR 13 SEPT- UPDATE

Strong downward move in the last hour of Friday send NASDAQ towards 15169.44 level. Rising dollar, Inflation, tapering and recently share offerings are issues that are among market drivers. Uranium and Covid'19 stocks are among the industries exploding especially for those that got in early, it is a case of "you can't get tired taking profits".

For today we continue to monitor those targets that are in our watchlist giving preference to Covid/Materials/Rear Earth stocks (Uranium is in rear Earth). The people who have bought the book should expect one more message today. We are very excited with the market at the moment as things are now simple. Part of what we do is just key-in our trailing stop on those stocks we are making profit on and if the price falls to our stop loss, hallelujah we are out of the market with our profit (no sweat).

The tip for today is that we need a better way to catch those sectors that will explode in prices very fast. We have observed that for the stocks where we are currently making profits above 30%, those stocks were purchased few weeks before the news media blew them up. The Global stock market offers a lot of opportunities, despite the fact that there is risk involve (risk is everywhere).

To ensure our longevity in this market, we just need to obey the rule of the gods of trading, like: get some knowledge before coming to the market (if you think just reading those on line books is enough, you may be wrong, it struck me hard when I realise that we are not even following what the books tell us to do, you will see many of the books telling you that 4% gain is okay, just 4%? I am sure we normally forget this. Getting training from the market is terribly expensive, I am sure a 40% loss in a small portfolio will be more than the cost of some trading manuals): avoid stocks that are low in prices, most stocks lower than $1.10 in this present market can be a risky play, if you are just starting buying stocks that are lower than $1.00 is playing with fire as you are likely to be playing in the domain of day traders (this is the area where there is pump and dump plus stock promoters) and many successful day traders have some money to play around with, a good day trader can pay $1000 monthly for trade platform/subscription service (look at the cost for tradeideaLLC, good service for day traders buy not affordable for just anybody); learn when to sell once in profit/sell to make small loss, playing Warren Buffet in this era of computerised trading is a recipe for disaster, good stocks can lose big when to total market becomes bearish. Let me stop here for now.

Today, I am feeling very happy. I will like to appreciate supporters of this form, especially those who physically are not posting or that you don't see their names here, likely most will be in NSEMPA. Another fairly though day in the market. Please I check our 31 Aug WhatApp message, one of our stocks ADAP again made it to top gainers list today.

For today we did some buying and selling, took some profit from MARA, GRTS and bought MFG/SOFI. Now we are moving to the defensive side.

US STOCK PICKS FOR 7 SEPT- UPDATE

First trading day of the week likely to start fairly dull. Unlike periods where there are no holiday, news about the market is scanty, but we look forward to the opening bell.

The good thing about the international stock market is that the opportunity for diversity across various continents give your portfolio some balance. If United State is stopping stimulus , Japan and Europe are about to start spending more money!!! Hope will always abound.
We cannot predict what will happen, there seems to be a slight fundamental change in Gold stocks, they did well on Friday, but are starting this week very weak. And following up on LCID, 2% gain already in pocket of holders premarket.

Our picks for starting the week would be ATEN, MFG while we continue to monitor the other stocks on our weekly watchlist which has been sent to subscribers on Sunday 6th September.

Our scan showed up a funny stock MANU, currently trading at a good support level.

Looking at this, if the stock moves to our buying zone, Ronaldo may join some of our portfolios!!!

We fold our arms to see what will happen during the few days of the week.

Like some chartists will say, charts are living things!!!. How did charts know that Ronaldo is now in England?

The international stock market is filled with so much opportunities to the extent that you even have the option of receiving dividends on weekly basis, there is a relatively new ticker WEEK an ETF that allows this.

Options are highly profitable to the extent that if you want to avoid risk you can do covered calls, which can give you annual return of around 40% plus. And if you like risk, options can give you 50% profit when a stock could have given 10 to 20%.

Today I took time to check our recent recommendation on UCAP in Nigeria Stock Exchange, the stock is moving, but at snail speed , I observed some things while looking at the trading activities for the stock on market view window of my stockbroker trading platform, one can play some little game in this market to our advantege and to the disadvantage of the participants at the opposite end of our postion (I will not talk too much about this) , especially in thinly traded stocks.

Bulls still leading the in the race, but Dollar about to bounce likely to slow down the bulls. We continue to play on the side of caution, our stock against Tuesday Market opening will be ATEN, MFG two fundamentally strong equities. For today market closure will not allow us to have a good perspective of the market, by early hours tomorrow we will have a better view of how Tuesday will open, generally metals/materials/bitcoin/opening plays and gaming stocks are not looking bad.

Market of the current period is not for buy and hold. I just view some equities that were rising just some few months ago, their current prices can make one to be afraid example will be Negg, I just could not believe the price I saw. Moral of this story is that we should learn to take profits from time to time and let our losses to be small (not easy, but this is just the truth). This last point made me sell AMC after holding stock for about one week, on Express (consumer Cyclical related stock) I escaped from the stock with about 13% loss unlike the breakeven point for AMC and on the whole I am happy at least I am now conditioning myself to trading stock the right way and I know my account will be better for it .

Having a trading system now make s me feel like a man that is[b] taking one kick a thousand times[/b], everyday I wake up looking to the market with optimism these days, the opportunities are so much.

LCID is very deep in red nah........

Stock fell for technical reason. But gained 9.71% in last 2 trading days of the week. Let us see what will happen in the next few days. Picture below tells the whole story better.

By way of note, we should watch out for 11th of October 2021, the same reason that affected LCID will also play out for Coinbase. this may be an opportunity to double down or to catch a low point in COIN or wait for things to settle down.

Let us have a nice weekend and enjoy Monday Labour holiday for the US market. NASDAQ closed 1.55% positive for the week just ended.. Market likely to continue in uptrend or be in a range next week, but we should go for quality stocks only and not forget to ensure that our portfolio is balanced such that loss in one of our stocks does not send us out of the market as October is likely to be a temporary bottom to start new uptrend (thus somehow some retracement is still expected in this September, it may be deep or shallow, we just need to follow good trading practice).

Today's live market is like trading at the right edge (looks confusing). However, no big deal, as usual took some profits in a Uranium stock. Bought PFE and SXC. Going for less risky stocks.

Market is not for the faint hearted.
