DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 28 MARCH 2019

MSCI Nigeria reshuffled her portfolio (no new money) playing more on the selling side for 27 March 2019, as expected values of banking sector held reduced. Fund is founding Sterling bank as replacement for Diamond bank. For now the market is still risky, better to wait till next week for things get stabilized.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 27 MARCH 2019

MSCI Nigeria still staying out of the market with the big news out of the way, we expect to see a move from their end. Best way to trade the news is to wait for the big money reaction to the market in general and for our targeted equities.

Bears and bulls are now in a very tight position. Looking at the sector that will feel the immediate impact of the MPC decision and the effect on the general market, today may probably be range bound again, until the market fully digest the news and then expected positive reaction for the market will start showing.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 26 MARCH 2019

Monday closing on the bearish side was against our expectation, but market is always right. This is an indirect way of the market still telling us to slow down. Let us see what the outcome of the MPC meeting will be, as the big money as a rule generally waits till outcome of such meeting is out before taking any decision. MSCI is still staying out of the market as at 25 March 2019.

There is no need predicting the market, the market is at a point where a change in trend may happen, although it may be temporary. Thus, if we need to wait till things become clearer, better to wait.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 21 MARCH 2019

MSCI Nigeria on 20 March 2019 did nothing. Market for now is like a trap, one need not be aggressive in buying. Although we know that more value will come to the market soon, but currently values traded are low.

I was trying to see if there is a way, I can pick a stock to buy and not need to suffer a loss at all, that is buy and forget. Alas, I realized that doing this buy and forget thing will be a good recipe for disaster. The good companies of those days are now history. Can you imagine that at one point in time, RT Briscoe used to be one of the biggest companies in Nigeria (I was told by somebody older than me). It will be unbelievable to anybody today, they may even as ask, which company is "RT Briscoe", such is life. Buy and hold as a strategy is becoming old school!!!

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 20 MARCH 2019

MSCI Nigeria did nothing in the market yesterday, but value traded by the market was fair. If something close to this value can be maintained for the week, the bleeding from the bear side is likely to be on hold. Again for emphasis, this is not a time to jump headlong into the market, market still looking for stability, it we are to buy, we buy in batches trying to catch subsequent fall in prices.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 19 MARCH

MSCI Nigeria on 18 March 2019 only bought small quantities of Stanbic, the inflow from the foreign portfolio Managers seem to be focused on fixed interest investments for now, still waiting for their impact on equities.

The market likely to trade in range/down trend today. The value traded yesterday was still low. The market needs more buyers.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 18 MARCH 2019

MSCI Nigeria tested the market on Thursday, but on Friday, the funds sort of withdrew back again. There still seems to be some volume in the market to be mopped up before the bulls can come into the market. Therefore, still better to be on the sideline for the next 2 to 3 days for now.

MSCI is back in the market on the buying side, this should be a relief for market participants as the value traded will likely improve and remove the fear of lack of buyers. Top on the list of purchases by the fund (using increase in percentage change in previous holding for the particular equity) were Diamond, Transcorp, FCMB, Fidelity etc.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 14 MARCH 2019

MSCI seems not interested yet in the market as at 13 March 2019.

We just still need to restrain ourselves; the market is still risky, opportunities are still limited.

With Brent hitting $68.08 this morning, Nigeria equities may attract more attention. Close at or above the Primary Pivot of 31,259.41 today, for the all share index is an indication that market is becoming stable.

FBNH is still a good buy at the current price (with MACD cross and closing above the EMA) will not be a bad play.

MSCI still absent in the market as at 12 March 2019.

The bears are on rampage, market still in a risky state, very few buyers in the market. Let us put our optimism in check for now.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 12 MARCH 2019

MSCI maintained clean slate again for 11 March 2018. We should count ourselves fortunate for seeing live (or we hear the radio broadcast, when we don't see the full table) of what MSCI is doing. I was a little bit surprised to read this today https://trwstockbrokers./2019/03/12/theres-been-improvement-in-foreign-investors-participation-apt-securities/.

However, there is no need not worry, we knew MSCI have just finished some buying and selling and have now called a time out (game of basketball has many time outs). This is why sometimes relying on news can sometimes be too late, by the time the general public gets the news, it is already too late. Going forward, if the information is referring to some money just about to enter the market, no problem we are waiting. However, if you go back to the last 3 trading days and see the value of equities traded, they are low. Attached is the portfolio for MSCI Nigeria s at yesterday 11 March 2018, it is the beginning of a new week (you will see what MSCI did for the Month and for 2019 as a whole).

Considering the above, I am happy for the information we are getting at this forum which is not readily available to the general public.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 8 MARCH 2019

MSCI Nigeria continues low tempo selling on 07 March 2019, sold 5.4million shares of Transcorp.

For Friday 8th March 2019, projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 32,125.82 and Low 32,007.64. Bears still pulling some weight as the index closed just about our projected low. Any appearance of a big buyer is risky for this market, people are tired of waiting at this tight trading range of 32,000 and 32,400.

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 28 FEBRUARY 2019

MSCI Nigeria as at 27 February 2019 continues with the selling of Diamond bank and was active in some other equities (details for subscribers only). Today I see normalcy coming to the market. The probability of a positive bounce is higher today considering two support levels that are in play (from the chart patter and the calculated weekly Pivot.

For our trading plan on Transcorp, it is still valid. The market stopped us from entry yesterday (which is good) we are still on course as per the update in our mail for today.

This information is for educational purpose only.

MSCI Nigeria as at 26 February 2019 continued with selling of 26.6million of Diamond, some small quantities of FCMB, Fidelity and Oando. Only ETI was added

Looking as the market today, the bias is to the downside, but good thing is that there are good support levels not too far from the current price levels.

25 February 2019 MSCI fired warning shorts into the the market; sold over 26.6million units of Diamond plus some 3 other stock (not big quantity), bought some Guinness & Ecobank.

The expected upside move in the market may not be that strong due to market close to a strong supply zone, but equally support is not too far away at about 31,824.22

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 20 FEBRUARY 2019

MSCI Nigeria as at 19 February 2019 came into the market heavily even with more cash (previous cash should have been added to in order to accommodate this resent purchase). Once I see MSCI in the market, my fears always reduce. See extract below.

Tuesday was a more stabilized 16 gainers and 14 losers. I observed that the stochastic level and the NSE price level is showing some level of divergence , a warning signal that the bull bear see saw is not yet over. Time to take some profit, not a time to look for big gains yet.

NSE All Share gain for 2019 now back to +3.10%.

For Wednesday 20 February 2019, projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 32495.72 Low 32236.97.

From our daily pivot we are re still above the support level of 31,115.32, temporarily the bears would have come into the picture if this level is broken.

First revelation of our merger candidate is out (information for subscribers only). We should start buying little by little, risk is small (company is still profitable with positive reserve and at good support point).

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 19 FEBRUARY 2019

No movement in MSCI Nigeria portfolio as at 18 February 2019, portfolio still showing same figures as of 15 February 2019.

Monday was a day the bears dealt a deadly blow to the market with only 11 gainers and 38 losers. However, the interesting thing was that some equities staged a comeback after falling heavily.

NSE All Share gain for 2019 now +2.42%.

For Tuesday 19 February 2019, projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 32677.94 Low 31763.21, the market is in a high volatility zone. Selling likely to subside today.

From our daily pivot once we go below the support of 31,115.32, temporarily the bears will start coming into the picture.

For now, our focus should be on managing our current position. The entry points we mentioned for those 2 equities are still valid (for subscribers), going further should they hit the prices indicated in our mail of today, you don’t need my approval again, they can be bought. For Transcorp, let us still allow it to settle to a good support level.

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 18 FEBRUARY 2019

MSCI Nigeria, what happened last week showed the power of MSCI Nigeria (activity has impact on the market), as at 15 February 2019 added some additional equities. If we are to accumulate the total for the week in percentage terms, the following equities were the main beneficiaries: see below

MSCI Additions broken down to highlight major Additions/Movements for the week:see below

Friday was another classical day with positive market breadth of 32 gainers and 22 losers, any time the market smells MSCI it is like poring fuel on fire, clear winner for last week were the bulls. For the new week, by Tuesday we will be able to have a clearer view of what will be the direction f the market, as a general rule, the market hate uncertainty, the postponed election was a surprise let us see if the market will react!!! But for big funds, reaction time may be slow as order are most of the time programmed in advance, that is why I want to ignore Monday to see the big money reaction to what happened over the weekend.

Next major level to watch for still remains the 32,800 level.

This increase in the All Share Index should not be a surprise at this moment, I learnt some Government bonds would be maturing by March 2019 with the proceeds likely to find their way into the stock market.

Whoever has not made money in this market should not lose hope; better things should be on the way once the huddle of the election cloud has been cleared away.

NSE All Share gain for 2019 now +4.09%.

For Monday 18 February 2019, projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 32963.56 Low at 32462.23

Some fundamentals can change without us knowing and is t wide for us as individuals to cover , this is reason why I trust technical analysis more. I just observed that wheat prices has been coming down in 2019. Thus Flour Millers fortune may change in 2019, on condition that the FX rate remains stable.

Extract of the list of major gainers and losers for the week are: Wema Bank, livestock feeds, Dangote Flour etc. See details in our twitter follow up post.

I will particularly recommend the “No Loss Trading System”, yes no loss, this like own Coca-Cola without Sugar (health drink for your stock investing). E-mail us for more details!!!
2. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.

3. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero, unless the fund is exiting from the particular Country involved. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market. The date displayed may not be the actual date of purchase/sale of equity (this is legal and allowable under the regulations guiding funds operations in general).

4. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock market crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.

5. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI Nigeria for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts (https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts), you will see the various sources where the data can be verified. Get us at twitter https://twitter.com/AnalysisTarget
