My gut feeling is that we are going to have a bull in the post presidential election period. If Atiku wins, bull would be a massive one compared to that which may occur if Buhari wins. Prices might be seen at levels were they were during the last general bull period. Selah.
buhari wining could also command bull because that means stability continuity and certainty

Exactly my fear too. Gives me sleepless nights, even though up and down swings in assets I own don't scare me. That says a lot. It's the same thing I have been telling the Tbills people, if such happens we are bleeped. All of us from bonds to stocks to tbills and other naira assets.

I don't want to be optimistic and say it can't happen, but I just knowl I need to prepare/hedge for it.
how soon can that happen? because if that happens american miners will shut down too

There's NO course for alarm at all my dear.
...I can tell u without mincing words that nothing, absolutely nothing is going to happen !! It was just a minor mishap which is presently being 'sorted out'.
For those(investors) on board, HOLD on tight to ur shares, and NEVER panic. ...in fact, be overprotective of it !!
Just a sincere piece of advise.

Regards.

there must be a mistake, the lowest price a stock can get is 20kobo.
it should not be a mistake. thats the default lowest price which those companies bribed their way to halt its happening. the system finally gave them away to show that its possible for the machines to count down to 1 kobo but they use grammer dabaru everybody and sweep it under the carpet. those responsible for these crimes must be prosecuted

i have nothing to worry about, im here for long term as an investor not just a trader, except something major goes wrong.

anyways, its normal to see a pull back after such a run in this case 30% in 3days. remember there is election fever in the market, so some traders want to hold on to every profit at the moment, so they can use it to rebuy cheaper.

Disclosure; na only 17m units we don see buy since, with a large chunk obtained at 20-22kobo. grin
so na dis Tran gbere yeye 30% wey e gain naim e don due to cool off. i suspect one individual just dey pull d strings behind d curtain

There are basic points derivable from what you have all postulated about the stock market. But, my point is that we should be mindful that the earnings period for most stock is around the corner, that is why prices are not falling lower than chibuking81's expectation. But then, I forsee those foreign investors who are yet to bail out, using the opportunity to exit the stock market ahead of the election.

Therefore, I still forsee prices getting lower for most stocks, not now, but majorly in february. Surely, their will be huge capital appreciation months after the election.
which significant foreign investor still one bail out again? I thought we all agreed that naira was under pressure in d last quarter of last year because they were exiting.

Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc has launched a process to raise N2.09 billion from existing shareholders as the insurance company seeks to beef up its capital base to position it in better stead for large-ticket transactions.

Under the rights issue, which is expected this quarter, Sovereign Trust will issue 4.17 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at offer price of 50 per share. As rights, the new shares to be issued have been pre-allotted on the basis of one new share for every two ordinary shares held as at the close of business yesterday, Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Access bank with this their acquisition move will not be a good buy for Short term, but for a long term if all things been equal. After acquisition of Diamond bank, their total outstanding share will increase, after right offer, the share will increase again, the implication is that earning per a share ( EPs) will fall greatly, if their outstanding share double times two after reconstruction of diamond bank share and adding it to Access together with right issue, their earning per a share will drop by half. This will affect their share price.
OK sir, u don discuss with wigwe?

Hhmm, the news just weak me but I'm with you on this one. Sole biz hardly build continuity and contingency plans into their businesses, more reasons it dies shortly after the owner. If someone mention continuity plan to them they'll think you are wishing them untimely death.

How? Is it like selling and withdrawing same day?
If it is, you cant sell and withdraw same day cos it wouldn't even reflect as "withdraw-able" in your account, you can only use it to repurchase other stock(s).
wow that means meristem is ahead in some areas
