There’s a brother of mine who’s been admitted to the hospital for about a week now. Man is pain.

He’s always been diabetic but the foot got worse this past week and he’s been admitted. Unable to eat and sleep. I’m really scared for him.

Doctor gave advice that the foot is amputated to prevent the spread to the entire leg, but his families are objecting to this saying that they’d prefer to treat him.

My question is, is it best to treat him or get the leg amputated?

What are the chances of his survival doctors in the house?

of course amputation would have been the best option if the foot has become gangrenous, it simply means there's no more blood and nerve supply to the affected area which eventually led to necrosis.

smiles I don't know where you met those cursing your mama and papa, all I'm saying is that communication skill is one of the soft skills a registered nurse must possess, people like you can't differentiate between a quack nurse and a qualified nurse, anybody putting on white is a nurse to you, even you call a chemist a doctor or pharmacist as long as he is a male, you're one of those who think nursing can be learned in a private hospital, stop tagging everyone nurses, in a sane clime, there is nothing like an auxilliary nurse, it's either you're a licensed practical nurse, UAP, RN or NP, all of them have their job descriptions where as LPN, UAP are being supervised by RNs, NPs are nurse practitioners who even consults like your doctors here in Nigeria, when you fail to get exposure and understanding, that's when you tag everyone nurses claiming they're cursing your papa and mama.

this is why exposure is very important in life, many people call even the cleaners nurses in the hospital, those you claim cursing your papa and mama my just be health attendants or as the case may be, good communication is one of the soft skills a registered nurse must have.

It started when I lost someone dear to me, I almost ran mad, they had to call a local nurse who administered an injection to me, the thing off me, when I woke up it started again, I was given another dose, it got me so high that I don't know anything again until I slept off again.

This is how I started requesting for it, I started taking it to get over the trauma, the lady noticed I was getting addicted she refused giving me saying it's dangerous, I had to call my pharmacist friend to get regular supplies, though he didn't stop warning me but I'm already addicted taking it every 4hours, trying to stop when I started seeing the damages but I couldn't.

The fatigue that will follow is unbearable, I will end up taking it to feel okay again. I attached a picture of my hands with the damage.

I need help, I want out so that I can live my normal life but I don't know how, has anyone been there before? How did you get over it? I don't want to die from this. Please help me
