I think cultural difference plays a huge role in determining people's reaction to this issue. It's probably the reason why people are getting fussy and emotional about it. They've been friends for donkey years for crying out L. If they would have been tingly and tangly, it would have happened over and over. Many marriages don't last this long. I think the Wife is probably comfortable with their friendship, knowing how long they've been friends. Besides, you know what they say the devil you know is better than the angel your oblivious of.
