I have a quick question for UK applications....How do i check or be certain if a visa application has been done in the past on his behalf. Can this information be retrieved from the UK website?

How about her financial capabilities for the past 6 months? as she has just put the money for her mom expenses in her pounds account. She resumed may intake.?

Is it possible for her (pregnant) to invite her mother to be with her for the period of when she deliver her baby. Its her first baby and she prefers her mom more to any other care. Fill a visit application for her using her student status for invite

Did you get a not straight forward mail? and what contact did you call the paid call? Had my biometricson 4th (priority, VI) and it still at DMC

I filled my University as my accomodation address on my application form but fill another post code address for my BRP collection. Is this ok at all? A double check on my form now, I think i should have filled my uni post code but didn't occur to me before submission. I hope this won't affect my decision? Do I cancel and get refund at a later time( don't know if there's anything like that) and submit another form?

Has any one got update concerning CAS statement from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland?

As regard to 4. In scenario that I filled the uni address as my place of accommodation on the application form but I know quite well am not staying there and am yet to decide where. I applied june 13...I had unconditional offer after 2wks

Glad updates is flying in concerning GCU....They will start to issue CAS data checks and CAS early July according to the mail I got this morning.

I was given conditional offer - they needed me to rewrite my SOP. I have done so and resubmitted. Still waiting for thier feedback

I've got unconditional there. They start to issue CAS in 3 months prior to course start date, so I think they should start the processes by month end. I am awaiting CAS too

Asking for a friend who just got her visa for May intake. How can she plan to bring her mother to the UK while on a student visa if she give birth around August or September.

GCU seems not to be a popular school here as I hardly see people with update unlike other schools. BTW anyone attending GCU this September and had gone through the Pre CAS data check or anyone got their CAS already for September start? Many thanks

1. I did a bit of exposition on GCU above. So you might want to check it up.

2. Not too sure about the uni accommodation, but there's certainly a range of accommodations in Glasgow for you. If you're looking at cost, you might want to avoid the city centre, except you can find someone to split the costs with you.

3. Still in costs - Before I came to the UK, I used to think that electricity and gas bills would be over the rooftops. With careful usage, you could keep those bills down to a cost of 50 quids per month.

4. Yes, there are jobs. But see above for what I wrote about covid.

5. Finally, I'm not aware that there is a Nigerian neighbourhood in Glasgow, but I do know for a fact that there are lots of Nigerians in Glasgow. The city itself is a multicultural city. It is also a big city - third largest in the UK, and the largest in Scotland. There are certainly rough parts in the city, like every other city. But for the most, it is a safe place to live. I had similar apprehensions before coming here. I scoured online materials on safety of Glasgow. I'm glad to say that I've not experienced a frightful incident here, although there are still pockets of cases here and there. Just like everywhere else, including England.

Two things though: Glasgow is a very beautiful city, with lost of historic monuments. If you, as me, like to travel a lot, you would also find that the city is centrally located, making accessibility to other parts of the UK easy. And secondly, Glaswegians are the friendliest people in the world. No jokes. They were actually voted so in an online poll. Only in Glasgow would you find a total stranger come to you and strike up a conversation like they have known you all their life! Lol.

So...yeah.

Good one @Coleridge, can you give a quick run down about Glasgow caledonian uni interms of Jobs and accommodation. Is there a Nigerian neighbourhood in glasgow similar to peckham and the like in London. Heard its not a great city compared to most in England

Sometimes if something is wrong with ur SOA,some schools are fond of ignoring your mail rather than telling you what the problem is .GCU and Ulster Uni are fond of this, get the sch rep to get in touch with CAS team on ur behalf
