Osaze007 i know you must somehow tie this matter to yourself. This morning it was that single people are not getting PPR. As that matter no burst, you want to start with work experience. Relax your PPR is almost here. Osaze007: So what should he have claimed since he’s over 2 years ? This is a grey area Canada must clear
Meanwhile for me I claimed over 3 years o My 1 year nysc experience & 2+ years of current work but there’s a one year gap between them |

Reapplying if he's not banned for misrepresentation. Elfmannisback: The thing is what do you can you have to show raising a CSE? He should have waited to claim the exact 3 yrs.. They check all these! Anyway, the worst will be reapplying. |

Very wrong. Riddler32: From trends so far, i guess families (2 and above) are clinching the PR at the moment. Single applicants should patiently wait. My guess might be wrong sha. |

There's no law that prohibits anyone from using different names so long as it is not used for fraudulent purposes. The one and the same person affidavit is sufficient explanation. However, as everything Nigeria, I'm sure his application will be scrutinised. There's nothing to worry about. To err on the side of surplusage, he may want to add a letter of explanation as to why he has different names. Even though he has stated so in his affidavit. Chik14: Pls answer naa.. |

Na wa. I will soon cry out to my God about this IELTS exam. Snappyfingaz: Nor be suffer lol na the way e be. A Canadian wanting to go study at a University in New Zealand for example, still has to take IELTS. So it's not just our money they are "chopping". |

So why them de suffer us to write IELTS na. Aig842: No ma'am!A native speaker of a language is someone who has spoken a particular language since they were a baby, rather than having learned it as a child or adult, for instance a Canadian from Quebec won't call himself/herself a native speaker of English but French. |

The funny thing is the first time i wrote IELTS, i didnt even know the tips for Writing. I scored a 7. When i studied so i can get a higher score i got a 6.5. I can't explain it. Snappyfingaz: Let's not be too quick to spark a conspiracy. I wrote my IELTS in Edmonton and I also scored a 6.5 in writing. Abi na the Nigerian nationals we go say them de target? |

If we were a native speaker we would not take the IELTS test. Snappyfingaz: English is our first language thus, we are native speakers. |

It appears they've started changing. Prettyquiet: @ Bababode825 I also requested for EOR with IDP but I got a mail 5 days after the request was made. I checked my result online before collecting the TRF at their office and my writing( which was what I requested for) was upgraded from 6.5 to 7. So I believe they also change the results online if the status has changed. I also met another applicant who got a positive EOR on writing when I collected my TRF. For anyone that intends to go for EOR with MOD, it is possible to get a positive outcome if you are sure you made the word count, with legible handwriting and wrote on topic. |

What is the meaning of native speaker of English. For your information, it is only USA, Canada, Britain, Australia and New Zealand that are native speakers of English Language. Aig842: Can we please slow down with this IELTS in Nigeria thing? You may want to put things in proper context before making general statements. Some Indians have Hindi as their primary language which makes them non-native English speakers, in the same vein some Indians have English as their primary language thus making them native speakers.
I want to believe your their are different marking schemes for both native and non-native English speakers.
Are BC and IDP examiners and markers in Nigeria deliberately sabotaging the efforts of candidates? I don't know Are BC and IDP in Nigeria treating IELTS as a cash cow? Maybe
Let's just take it easy with the general statements.
Cheers bros>

When i went to MOD to seek remark for my writing, the admin staff also told me not to request a remark. He said and i quote ''You are looking for a .5 you may not get it. If it were 1 mark or more i would say go ahead''. It did not make sense to me at all so i proceeded to request a remark and alas it came out unchanged. I have registered with the same MOD because i took it in my strides that maybe i didnt do well. If my next writing score isn't acceptabel to me i will definitely do something drastic. KINGTELLER: Why did the admin staff ask you not to seek for remark, is there something fishy about the EOR for him to have discouraged you? |

The issue is not with those who can't speak English fluently. The problem is the markers of the IELTS writing in Nigeria. Please let's not mention a 'race' here. TEECANN: I can't forget one day that I replied to a message on one of the whatsapp groups that I'm following and the Indian guys there began to pass humorous comments like "why am I reproducing IELTS reading passage for them...that my chat read like a passage from IELTS Reading test"
It will end in praise IJN!!! |

Narrow escape. Congrats. You're lucky you need to celebrate. But the markers of the writing module have to be examined o. How can someone explain this result. After all it's the same English that was used in listening and reading. Even the speaking sef. Na English. So what happened to writing. Livy2018: Goodmorning Fam,
So IELTS result finally out. LRWS - 8.5,9,7,8.5.
First attempt and I am soo grateful for the tips I got on this forum, now waiting for WES to conclude its report.
If you recall, my experience on test day with MOD at its Lagos mainland centre was terrible but it ended in praise. |
