Some can eat but have no food....
Some have food but cannot eat......
Meanwhile, except you saw the ITA, the person may be telling lies...because i cannot understand the cluelessness (if there is a word like this).

Obi1conte:
It's just scary how people take a life changing decision and just feel they would wobble and stumble to their goal.
I met someone today by chance who got ITA yesterday but knows little or nothing about the process.
No passport for kids yet
No POF
He ddn't know he is not suppose 2 spend from POF when he finally gathers it
Hasn't booked medical appointment yet
Wondering how he would get his ref letter from his employer (and he isn't the PA ooo)
Thought PR would come after 60days, he didn't know you start counting after AOR
I was just like waoh!!!
Then he said he was using an agent based in canada like that was an excuse for his ignorance

I've been to some airports in the US. Washington Dulles, LAX and LIT to be precise. You pay for the use of trolley. Stop shaming Nigeria.

Nigerians that is our way.....my joy is that with time, we shall all learn.
Much respect for the indians in that regard.
There is obviously something about ''black man''.

softandmoist:
This is not me whining or anything. Just something I noticed since landing here in Canada and going out and about.
Many of our Nigerian brothers act all cold when you greet them then get warm when greeted by a white.
Really.
Like your sucking up will change your complexion?
The friendly ones know better, I suppose. They give you pointers on how you can get settled in easily and integrate.
One man snubbed me this morning when I greeted him twice at my daughter's school, but got all chatty with one woman who was white. His daughter and mine are in the same class so I was wondering what the superiority complex was all about.
Shior.
What pained me most for him was that the woman didn't hear anything he was saying because even on the verge of swallowing his tongue to speak Canadian English, she wasn't just understanding. Kikikikiki.
Ok, seriously now.

Please seniors, let's be nice to ourselves. Tenkiu.

You can get a new Birth Certificate from the NPC.
However, it will be marked as RE-ISSUE.
I did for my son because the one i did at birth got stained with a drink.
It was marked re - issued. I just stapled the two together.
He turned three last month.
DrMrsCK:
In a similar situation. The name on my passport is a compound name but mother's name on my daughter's birth certificate is just my husband's name. I think I will just swear an affidavit to that effect.

Try to read. this issue has been dealt with before.
OneLegInCanada:
Hi people,

Abeg, who has used ONLY NYSC experience as work experience?

My concern is that 1 month was spent in camp, so time spent in PPA is less than 12 months.

Please help guys. My NYSC job as an Oil Field Assesor is skilled. My current bank job is C, so doesn't help me.

I want to use ONLY NYSC. How do I show the full 12 months?

Thanks.

As it is she is your sister. Since she is a minor i believe you can apply to be her legal guardian, that way you can add her as dependent.
Dizzy007:
Hi guys, please lawyers, seniors I need some advice. A friend of mine wants to start his EE application, his parents are currently late. They had legally adopted a girl about 7 years ago, complete with all the adoption papers. So now he's her guardian/brother/sole relative. She's about 10 years old now. Please does he need to legally adopt her again to include her in his application as his dependent? or just indicate that he's her guardian?
Thanks.

Sorry i have to do this. It is spelt as wedding and not weeding. I would have ignored but i noticed you spelt it twice as weeding.
Lets make conscious effort to proof read what we write. You appear as someone who knows how to write in English. Just be conscious of your spelling.

Let's assume his friend didn't answer the questions well enough. Did all other students who were denied not answer their questions to?
To me, it is better US issues a statement deterring Nigerians from applying for visas than rejecting applications frivolously.
I know many genuine visitors and students who have been denied.
justwise:
How do you know that he answered those questions perfectly?

I'm no doctor but I'll advise you invest some money in cerelec and feed your little one before you visit the paediatrician. Since she's active I doubt there's any underlying medical issue. Just stay positive. all will be well.
Temas:
Hello house.. I know God want to make this testimony a sweet one. well we had our medical with qlife on Monday. daughter was flagged for being underweight ( 3rd percentile) whatever that means. we were told CIC might return our case for further test. we received a call today that CIC did return our case that daughter should see a paediatrician and further report is needed( qlife is charging 30k). Anything we should be worry about against daughter's health and our application. we are yet to get an appointment with the paediatrician.

This is uncalled for...
People have different reasons for doing things..
Many of us are in the hinterlands and may not be able to readjust our schedules as things comes up.
I've done medicals, but I haven't even gotten ITA. I did Medicals because I had an engagement in Lagos and I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone.

First of all, your job duties determine what NOC you choose. Disregard your degree when choosing NOC.
Secondly, if you are practising law in Nigeria then NOC 4112 it is.
Or do you do the duties under NOC 1242? Then choose NOC 1242.
harry41:
Hello Good people,

I need your kind advice.

I am a lawyer but I am confused about the best NOC to pick. I have gone through NOC 4112 and it bests suits me but I am skeptical about the employment requirements which include

1. •Two to three years of undergraduate studies or, in Quebec, completion of a college program and A bachelor's degree from a recognized law school and Successful completion of the bar examination and completion of a period of articling are required.
•Licensing by the provincial or territorial law society is required.

can I assume this relates to studies in Nigeria and not Canada? or should I go with NOC 1242 for legal administrative assistants? please helpppp

Long post alert ...

It all started in 2016 when I was about traveling to Afghanistan. As a WHO intern in a health related mission, I was very happy with the job. But then the mission to Afghanistan. Initially, I was very pessimistic about what to expect from the journey, but the cash benefit was too good to ignore. I had to grab the offer when it was presented by my boss.
Then I had already aced my IELTS on first setting maxing out CLB 10 on all modules. I was ecstatic. But the scores for that year (2016) was between 460 and above. I was having less.

I jettisoned the idea to immigrate to Canada and concentrated fully on the task ahead... Trip to Afghanistan.

The fear of Al-qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram etc were constantly resounding in my head. But I was determined and ready to face the challenge head on.

Two weeks to our departure date, my girlfriend/fiance called and told me she was pregnant and that the parents are already aware...

...

...

To be Continued...

It's page 419.

grin grin grin

I just dey watch una raised eyebrows in 3D.

Thank you. Ralph is a Canadian Minister. When your application has passed normal processing time (6 months), you can send an email to him, asking for an update. He would get in touch with IRCC, and communicate whatever he gets to you.
