Thanks for the update. Lol mhoreh: I had a bit of concern about my UK PCC that was requested in June but hadnt come. I took the option of a replacement and sent to my friend in the UK, by the time she was scanning the PCC to me last Wednesday, the physical copy also arrived at my doorstep in Lagos same day. UK PCC settled, awaiting IELTS response for EOR. Well done to all the bosses in the house!!!! |

In addition to some of the good advice you've got here. You can either get a separation order from the courts in Nigeria. Or you could go ahead with a separation affidavit but you'll have to give IRCC an undertaking that you won't ever sponsor your spouse in the future. That way, they'll dispense with her medicals. Canada visa forum has lots of information on your situation. Please check it out. Jasmine17: Its a brother jare.
So there is no way out other than going through divorce?
There should be o. |

Get the reference letter from where you work. They will be the ones to let you know if its headquarters that can issue the letter. MaSisi: Hello everyone, good morning. Please I need to know if my office in state headquarters can issue me a reference letter or must it be from our Abuja headquarter since I'm a federal worker. |

exquisef did you see this? Zutlin: I believe your friend will be fine applying from Nigeria. I don't know about the UK. I also overstayed somewhere for about 2years. I was very concerned about my overstay but my research online and consultation with an immigration lawyer in Canada, shows it has no effect - so long you have no criminal record.
I'm 3 months post AOR. Received GCMS notes today and no mention of overstay. |

equisef you need to do research and learn. I didn't reply him for the fun of it. exquisef: he has overstayed for 3 years o and his visa don expire. If he went for a degree na 3 years masters is either 1 or 2 years depending on his visa... my point is he should have extended his student visa by getting something one way or the other now hes over stayed and illegal and im sure he cant apply from the UK his case is unique |

Since he went to the UK as a student, it means he was admitted into the UK for more than one year. He can apply for Canada PR from UK. He can apply for Police clearance too. Let your friend do a little more research. Compu001: Guys I have a technical question. I will be detail with it. I have a friend in the UK, he came in as a student but didn't go back to Nigeria,so his student visa expired. He want to get out of the system to Canada. Can he apply from UK If no, can he go back to Nigeria to apply?? If he go back to Nigeria, will they not capitaliz on his overstayed stuff in UK??. I just need ur advice, so has to advise him accordingly. Thanks |

Exactly. The much the bank should divulge is the existence of the account and the authenticity of the statement of account. To divulge bank details or amount is illegal. Although, in nigeria banks are allowed to divulge account transactions and details to the EFCC without informing the account holder. So maybe they can as well divulge to IRCC. JiggyFighter: Never heard of this. In fact whenever I've applied for visas I've always used regular statements and I've gotten the visas all the time. As a matter of fact I move money around anyhow after applying and it has never been an issue. And yes even if you apply it doesn't mean you agree for your bank to give information to people on your behalf. What a bank can confirm is that they genuinely gave you the letter you submitted. They can confirm the existence of the account or that they truly gave a letter and it wasn't forged or that the information on the letter they provided was accurate. But for them to be providing details of your account activity to anybody is unheard of. Doesn't make a difference to me personally but if it's true then I'll be very surprised. Maybe somebody working in a bank can offer inside information. |

You say what? Gold don't pave streets anywhere. You dig abi na mine for gold. For those who can't find gold in nigeria, they will surely find it in Canada. Itsawonder: Sorry, I don't see gold paving those streets. For those leaving a lucrative, pensionable job for this pity is your case. |

Hope your village people no know say you want to go Canada? Just kidding. How far? Have you been able to access your account now? Yenyen18: The draw date was August 8th 2018. I got a email notification. But l lost my gckey so I couldn't access my account. I finally linked my account to a new gckey but the invitation to apply was not inside. The profile I submitted to enter the pool disappeared. I called IRCC and with my application number it was confirmed orally that I have been issued ITA and was advised to check my account for further instructions. till now no physical ITA just the oral confirmation |
