Did you see anyone making excuse for the fake Doctor and Huspuppi, Naira Marley, Sam Larry. When an Igbo man is accused for something, many Igbo here on nairaland begins to point to other people who are doing crime and not accepting responsibility.
I don't know your antecedents so I'll take it gently with you for now.
If you point to THE INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP OF PERSONS involved in the crime, we will equally condemn them. However, if you latch on to a single person or group of individuals to cast aspersions on the whole Igbo nation as you Yorubas do, we will defend the Igbo nation and turn around to attack you back. This is what Yoruba people do.
Go back to the first page and read how they've been attacking Ndigbo. They might be ignorant of what they're doing but the effect remains if we don't tackle it head on.
If you're Yoruba, learn to make that distinction as your response carries a similar accusation of overgeneralisation. Igbos don't harbour criminals. We call them out and deal with them. We do see criminals from Yorubas but don't paint the whole Yoruba nation with the crimes of a few like they do to us.
If your advice is that Igbos should accept responsibility by accepting the accusation that all Igbos are bad because of a crime of a few, then you're gravely mistaken. We know we have a lot of haters and will never allow the allegations of these haters to define us.
You can see how civil I am with you because I'm not certain of your persuasion. I'm not civil with those usual haters.

Face Liberia that is evicting you pestilent people from their country.

Mannerless and poorly brought up people
Since when have you seen Igbos defending confirmed criminals from our side? We expose and reject them unlike you mannerful hypocrites who defend a convicted drug dealer and certificate forger cum murderer of late Funsho Williams. Your people are so well brought up that they specialize in digging up graves to disturb the dead and mining their skulls.
Yorubaland is the only place where dead people are not allowed to rest in peace. They are decapitated by your mannerful people.

It's in the genetic make up for the Yoruba to slander Igbos whenever he hears any issue involving us. He doesn't care to verify the story first. For him, the Igbo man is guity of whatever he is accused of. Will it be surprising if Igbos reciprocate such treatment towards the Yorubas? Not at all.
Therefore, Igbos know those who hate and slander you at any given opportunity. Give it back to them fire for fire. Dig into all their dealings and bring to the surface anything and everything that will portray them as bad people because this is exactly what they're doing to us.
For them, they believe one or two persons from us who are involved in wring doings typifies us therefore, we also should use the crimes of one or two of their people to represent their whole people. It is a tit for tat thing; do me I do you situation. Do not stop until they've learnt their foolishness.

You're very funny. Ok let us accept your story. What is stopping Ijebu people from going back to their Canaan land more specifically, Jerusalem?

Rubbish picture which displays the jaundiced nature of Nigeria. It's very surprising how they expect peace and progress under such a set up.

The one on blue has to himself watermelon, a bottle of 7-Up and a jug of juice to help his digestion of the food.
The one on red cornered two bottles of 7-Up to himself alone and has consumed them due to his gluttony plus a jug of water. He even kept two cups to himself instead of sharing with the one in th middle.
The one in the middle was left to eat the food without any fluid to aid his digestion. None of them cared about it.
All the smiles you see there is fake, hypocritical and deceiving. Nonsense contraption.

Politics › Re: Is Etsu Nupe, A Fulani Or Nupe? by Yujin(m): 6:08am On Oct 09, 2023
Favour9ja:
The Etsu Nupe is not a pure Nupe, but rather a Fulani. The current Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, is the 13th Etsu Nupe. His great-grandfather, Mallam Dendo, was a Fulani warrior who conquered the Nupe Kingdom in 1806 during the Sokoto jihad. Dendo became the first Etsu Nupe and his descendants have ruled the emirate ever since.

Although the Etsu Nupe is of Fulani descent, he is also considered the leader of the Nupe people. This is because the Nupe people have a long history of assimilation and intermarriage with other ethnic groups, including the Fulani. As a result, the Etsu Nupe is seen as a symbol of unity for the Nupe people, regardless of their ethnic background.

In addition, the Etsu Nupe is a powerful political figure in Nigeria. He is the head of the Bida Emirate, which is one of the largest and most influential emirates in the country. The Etsu Nupe also has an influential seat in the Nigerian State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs .

So, while the Etsu Nupe is not a pure Nupe, he is still considered the leader of the Nupe people and a powerful political figure in Nigeria.
Was it through pure conquest or usurpation after assisting one Nupe prince against the other? Fulani strategy of taking control of kingdoms in Northern Nigeria needs to be studied by every ethnic group who values her security and independence.

Cardinal Jim Rex Lawson was a great musician proudly of a Kalabari father and Igbo mother. His legacy will forever remain. He sang a song called 'Ewu nebe akwa' in 1965 and isn't liable for whatever whoever makes of it thereafter. It wasn't a diss song at the time he sang it and should be respected as such.
I'll leave you to continue to stew in your hateful solace of 'paying the price at last'.
The reputation of you Yorubas has taken a heavy nosedive as a result of the exposition about you through the internet. You can't see it and won't see it because hate has beclouded you. We shall see how the few years ahead will be for the well established hypocrites.

Cabalgeneral:
But Igbo were happy singing after the coup, imagine in other man's land.
I don't expect any sane reasoning from you however, I'll try and explain for those who can reason out things.
It was on record that most people(across most regions and ethnic groups) rejoiced and were happy about the coup at the time. The fact that is hidden is how the media at the time turned the story around and branded it an ethnic coup set the ideal ground for the pogrom that followed thereafter. It isn't strange for some persons to be mindless about celebrating beyond reasonable limits and this can be found eveywhere all over the world.
How some of you now turn around to blame all Igbos for the insensitivity of a few is beyond belief.
I've heard the same story from some people in the north who were alive and adults at the time and how angry it made them. I guess the slaughtering of tens of thousands of Igbo men, women and children by both civilians, paramilitary and military groups from the northern population was justified in that circumstance.
The same way the Nigerian media today is reporting the fulani wiping off indigenous tribes in the middlebelt under the name of farmers/herders clash. The Nigerian army is used to disarm any community that manages to get few arms for defense purposes leaving them defenseless and the same Nigerian soldiers posted at the hotspot areas will say they weren't given orders to act when the villagers under attack send an SOS message to them. It is people like you in future who will say the villagers deserved it.

Structural changes and the establishment of strong institutions in the only way forward. All these firebrigade tactics will never work on a large scale.
Soon, people will be dying on the streets of Nigeria due to hunger yet they will never learn. It will take the intervention of the relevant external bodies to force the necessary change in Nigeria.
Until then, let the suffering and smiling continue.

Wasted prayer. I wonder why people can't see that Nigeria has no future.
What do you expect when a dumb brute insists to be the leader of a group project? Disaster of course. That is the Nigerian story.
People like Gideon Orkar was able to identify the problem many years ago and he tried to correct it. Foolish people will continue to do the same thing and expect a different result.
Anybody praying for Nigeria to get better without taking concrete steps at ensuring structural changes are made is wasting his time.

No one will comment on this thread instead, they'll carry on with their suffering and smiling Independence Celebration.
Hundreds are under KNOWN kidnappers den while hundreds of thousands are in IDP camps yet Independence celebration with its pomp and pageantry must go on. They dialogue with fulani terrorists and shoot to kill protesters whether umarmed secessionists or civil matter protesters. They disarm poor farmers defending their farms and ancestral lands while giving support to fulani invaders via logistics and even arms supply. This is what Nigeria has become today.
Rest In Peace to those slaughtered lastnight in the middlebelt by fulani terrorists and Rest In Peace in advance to those that will be slaughtered tonight by the same people. You can celebrate the independence if this is what you envision an independent country to be like.
