The romance between Nina and Miracle, two housemates of the Big Brother Naija reality show seems to have hit the rocks.

The duo has been lovebirds in the 'Double Wahala' edition of the reality show, but it appears it is time to call it quits.

Dropping her break up lines, Nina told one of the housemates, Tobi that she has been trying so hard to see her boyfriend in Miracle but she was not seeing it, therefore she made up her mind.

In her words: 'I give up!'.

The former lovebirds were paired as strategic partners by Big Brother and the spark continued even after they were unpaired until lately when things seem to be falling apart.



Miracle has felt terrible and seemingly has not gotten over the heartbreak even though he is trying so hard to appear strong after he told Tobi that he was not bothered.

A lot of people believe that Nina only used Miracle to get to the finals and realized the need to move on after she got what she wanted which was making it to the finals.

Although there is no clear proof to that, however, her action has caused a serious stir across the social media with a handful of Miracle's fans lashing out at her.

Tobi believes she was only acting under the influence of alcohol and might likely get back to her senses pretty soon.

One of the housemates in the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show, Lolu has narrated how he was sexually molested by a housemaid his mum hired while he was only five years old.

Lolu revealed this while speaking with Big Brother during his diary session on Monday.

He opened up to Big Brother on how he had to deal with the shame and never told anyone about it until he turned 21.

Narrating the story, Lolu said: “I was molested at the age of 5 by my housemaid. I didn’t inform my mother at that time because she had challenges and was trying to keep the family.

“The maid would subject me to a lot of punishment and if I refuse, I had consequences which I cannot discuss on national TV because it is too graphic.



“I finally told my younger sister about it when I turned 21.

“I’m saying this because I want people who have gone through this kind of assault to talk about it. The right thing to do is speak about it.

“Most people don’t know they have the right not to let such things affect them negatively or positively.

“Even though I’ve come to terms with it, I remember the incident sometimes.

“I have sought therapy sometimes, but I am not ashamed or sad about it. I have dealt with it for the past 24 years so I’m fine.”

The importation of goats and sheep has been banned by the government. 

Authorities of Rwanda Tuesday announced a ban on importation of sheep, goat and their products from Burundi following reports of a viral disease outbreak.

The agriculture minister Gerardine Mukeshimana in a statement said the Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) that primarily affects goats and sheep has been reported in Burundi’s provinces of Gitega, Mwaro, Kirundo and Karuzi.

“Movement of livestock including sheep and goat and their products; meat, hides and fertilizers from Burundi are hereby banned,” the minister said in the statement.

She appealed to livestock farmers, traders, veterinary officers and security agencies in the country and at the border points to be vigilant.

The ministry added that the ban was based on a report about the disease outbreak that was done earlier by Burundian veterinary services and sent to the World Organisation for Animal Health.

According to the FAO, PPR, also known as sheep and goat plague, is a highly contagious animal disease affecting small ruminants.

Once introduced, the virus can infect up to 90 percent of an animal heard, and kill between 30 and 70 percent of infected animals.

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has extended the deadline for registration of Batch A stream II prospective corps members to ensure fairness to all.

Authorities of the scheme had earlier stated that “the portal will be open from Monday, March 26, 2018, and will close on Sunday, April 8, 2018, but the registration has now been extended to Tuesday, April 10, 2018.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has written the Senate to request the confirmation of 26 new appointments.

In separate letters, to the Senate, Buhari requested the confirmation of Festus Okoye as National Commissioner for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The two non-legal practitioners are; Abba Ali (Katsina-North west) and Mohammed Sagir (Niger-North central).

The 23 nominees for the National Population Commission are; Nwanne Johnny Nwabuisi (Abia), Dr Clifford Zirra (Adamawa), Mr Chidi Christopher Ezeoke(Anambra), Barrister Isa Audu Buratai (Borno), Navy Captain Charles Iyam Ogwa(Cross River), Sir Richard Odibo(Delta), Okereke Darlington Onaubuchi (Ebonyi) and Mr A.D. Pathological desire to have children and deliberate efforts by women to swindle money and other valuables from their husbands make some women to falsely claim they are pregnant, a doctor says.

Dr Hussein Adamu of Ummah Hospital, Jalingo, spoke in reaction to a claim by a woman that she lost her pregnancy to kidnappers who removed her foetus.

The woman, Nafisa Isa, in Jalingo on Tuesday claimed that three unidentified persons abducted her near her residence at Anguwan Baraya area of the town.

“ I went out to do some shopping around 9 o’clock in the morning when two men and a woman hypnotised and dragged me into their already packed vehicle and drove off.

“ When I woke up, the only thing I could remember was that they gave me an injection which, apparently, allowed them to remove my foetus and placenta before fleeing.

“A woman who took me to Ummah Hospital said she saw me loitering near Mallum, on the outskirts of Jalingo, in the pool of my blood,” she told newsmen.

A 17-year-old boy Micheal Brown, got people shocked after he got admission into 20 universities with full scholarships to each one.

The visibly excited mum of the Texas boy expressed how she was awe-struck by her son's feat.

“I’m very grateful, I’m very thankful,” his mum, Berthinia Rutledge-Brown, said.

“I know that he has done an amazing job, and I get to watch him every day. It’s just normal to me.”

Brown is a senior at Lamar High School in Houston. He got into schools including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford and Georgetown.

Brown’s mum describes him as “hardworking” and “caring.”

“He wants this to be an example and inspiration for other kids that if they work hard and use their resources, they can do whatever they set their minds to,” Rutledge-Brown said.

Brown is part of a programme called EMERGE Fellowship which “empowers and prepares high performing students from under-served communities to attend and graduate from selective colleges and universities across the nation.”

Rutledge-Brown said that although she knew her son had the grades to get scholarships, she never imagined anything like this.

“This has exceeded anything I ever thought. When I went to college, I paid for it myself,” Rutledge-Brown said.

“I really knew that when we went to the EMERGE orientation and saw the people that came back to speak, he would be able to go to school.”

“It’s surprising I was accepted to all of them,” Micheal said in response.

Scientists believe they have discovered a new organ in the human body which nobody ever thought existed prior to this time.

In a new study published recently, scientists said he interstitium is a network of fluid-filled tubes all around the body which could act as a shock absorber.

This organ is not necessarily one we’re going to embrace, as it could also act as a conduit for cancerous cells to move to different parts of the body.

However, knowing about it could lead to new treatments and better understanding.

The organ is thought to be made up of fluid-filled spaces If it is indeed an organ, it could be the biggest of 80 in the human body, found under the skin and also lining veins and arteries, muscles, the gut and every visceral organ.

Previously, scientists had seen it but believed it was made up of dense connective tissue. When slides were examined that’s what it looked like, because to make a slide the fluid is drained away as part of the process.

Its true nature was realised during a routine endoscopy looking at a patient’s bile duct.

Doctors noticed what looked like a network of capillaries, but clearly couldn’t be that because it would have picked up the fluorescent dye they were using.

Previously, we knew that there was fluid between cells (known as interstitial fluid) but it wasn’t thought to be contained in a network like this.

New York University pathologist Dr Neil Theise said: "This finding has potential to drive dramatic advances in medicine.

"This includes the possibility that the direct sampling of interstitial fluid may become a powerful diagnostic tool.

"Once tumours get in, they’re like a water slide. We have a new window on the mechanism of tumours spreading."

A man who hired three prostitutes to celebrate a $96,000 payday from a legal settlement had his own fair share of such dates.

The 30-year-old was robbed in a Queens motel on Thursday after he met up with one of the women at the Van Cortlandt Motel on Broadway in Woodside to celebrate his payday.

He showed her his bag full of $96,000 cash, and she called two friends and the victim was hoping it was going to be a sexual healing sort of date until things took a fresh turn.

While he was hoping for a foursome, the prostitutes had a different idea and they even brought two men along with them — including one who was packing heat, police said.

Cops said the men hopped into a black minivan and drove off with the loot while the victim was left both shocked and devastated.

A current research led by Li Sheng, director of the Institute of Insect Science and Technology at South China Normal University in Guangzhou City focuses on the genetic code of the American cockroach.

According to Li, a cockroach has as many as 522 taste receptors, 329 of which have evolved into bitter receptors that respond to poisonous foods.

Li said: “They eat almost everything. They can do self-detoxification if they eat the wrong food.

“Even if it is beheaded, its body can still move for five or six days. If you cut its legs or antennae off, they will recover in just a few days and look almost the same as before.

Jasmin, who lives in London, hit headlines last year when she listed herself on Cinderella Escorts in the hope of raising cash to start her own business.

The German-based company claims the final bidder was a 'Hollywood actor' from Los Angeles who outbid a businessman from Munich and a Manchester United football player based in London.

The tryst is set to take place in a hotel in April, they added.

Jasmin, who did not reveal her last name, claimed to have gone for dinner with all three bidders beforehand and called the experience 'amazing'.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, Jasmin said: 'My parents supported me from beginning. They know everything and agree.

'I am 26 and they know that I am adult enough for deciding alone what I do with my body. As I met the actor already and I was always a big fan of [his], I am more nervous as a fan than about losing my virginity.

A clinical psychologist in Garki Hospital, Abuja, Mr Moses Tingir, has said workplace stress could adversely affect optimal performance, weaken the immune system and cause depression if not properly managed.

Tingir, who is also a member of British Psychological Society on Tuesday noted that failure to properly manage workplace-related stress could lead to complications such mood swing, anxiety, depression, weak immune system and even total breakdown.

He explained that “the performances of somebody whose stress is in a chronic stage will be adversely affected; that will also affect productivity.

“Stress affects body functions; it weakens the immune system and can lead to heart disease, as well as cause mental illness such as anxiety and depression.

“It also affects your relationship with colleagues at work and loved ones at home; you get angry easily, agitated and irritated over issues that normally need not to.”

He disclosed that workers were likely to make more errors when they were stressed than when they were not and advised employers to always create break time for workers.

Dissemination of fake news might begin to earn defaulters some cooling off in jail.

Malaysia’s ruling Barisan Nasional party tabled a bill in parliament on Monday to address ‘fake news’, as the country gears up for national elections.

If the bill becomes law as it stands, those guilty of “creating, offering, or publishing fake news” could be fined over 100,000 dollars and jailed for up to 10 years.

Malaysia is expected to hold national elections soon, and the new law has prompted critics of the government to suspect that it is trying to distract from a scandal involving state fund 1MDB.

Prime Minister Najib Razak has denied allegations of being involved with funds, allegedly from 1MDB, found in his personal bank account, as exposed by foreign media in 2015.

Najib will be contesting the elections against ex-premier Mahathir Mohamad.

The polls must take place before August 24.

The Anambra State Police have issued a ban on politicians against the use of sirens across the state.

In the same vein, unauthorised persons in the state were also prohibited from using sirens as well as covering their number plates.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Garba Umar, disclosed this on Monday at a press briefing in his office at Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area of the state.

He said only hospital ambulances on duty, the state governor, banks conveying money and police officers on duty were authorised to move with sirens.

Umar said any unauthorised persons caught using sirens would be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law, no matter how highly placed.

The CP said: “The command wishes to warn and remind the general public on the ban of incessant use of siren, and covering of number plates as anyone caught violating such laws will be arrested and dealt with decisively.”

Shrinking of Lake Chad is threating livelihoods of people in the region and raises the need for improved strategies to manage the water resource to remedy losses, WaterAid has said.

Dr ChiChi Aniagolu-Okoye, Country Director, WaterAid, made this known in an interview with newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday.

“Lake Chad, the largest freshwater reservoir, is an important resource shared by Nigeria and other benefiting countries within the region.

“The lake sustains a lot of people, who are largely farmers, fishermen and livestock breeders.

“The speedy shrinking of the basin is threatening the resources and livelihoods of millions of people who are living there.

“There is no doubt that the management of the lake requires greater resources and expertise; involvement of water experts is certainly a welcome intervention,’’ she said.

The WaterAid official called for the involvement of water experts, particularly geologists, in proffering solutions to the diminishing of the lake.

According to her, the shrinking has caused millions of inhabitants of the basin to move to the hinterlands due to inability to carry out their fishing and other agricultural activities.

“Most of the people living around the lake have been displaced by natural forces.

“These forces include drought and desertification brought about by the effects of climate change; high winds and temperature in the region have resulted in diminishing resources of the Lake Chad Basin,’’ she said.

A bizarre footage has emerged of a female elephant caught smoking inside a forest.

The viral video which was taken in India caught the moment the wild elephant exhaled ashes.

Experts worldwide are stumped as it is the first document of what appears to be a pachyderm “smoking”.

The video was shot in 2016 by Vinay Kumar, a scientist from the Indian branch of the Wildlife Conservation Society, in Karnataka state’s Nagarhole Forest, but released recently “after experts realized its biological significance.”

In the video, the female elephant, standing near a carpet of charcoal from a burnt forest floor, seemingly ingests the charcoal.

It then exhales the ashes which appear as puffs of smoke before walking away.

“This incredibly unusual behaviour of the elephant blowing out ashes is puzzling the scientific community.

“Nobody is quite sure what is going on,” Kumar said on Tuesday.

An elephant biologist with WCS, Varun Goswami, said he believed the elephant was ingesting the charcoal, which
has toxin-binding properties and can serve as a laxative, for medicinal reasons.

WCS said the video is the first known video documentation of a wild elephant exhibiting such behaviour.

“The video has taken the internet by storm, going viral on social media sites, and is being shared by international
wildlife agencies,” Kumar said.

Charcoal consumption has never before been observed in elephants, although monkeys in Zanzibar have been known to do it to counteract toxins.

Charcoal ash has traditionally been used for dental hygiene in India. “After the video was circulated, there was
also this speculation that the elephant was trying to cure a toothache,” Kumar said.

A man has become his own grandpa after his 14-year-old daughter gave birth to his child in Abaranje area of Ikotun, Lagos State.

The girl whose name has been withheld disclosed that her biological father is the father of her newborn.

Shock gripped residents when the Junior Secondary School 3 disclosed that after impregnating her last year, her father hid her in a herbal home till she delivered.

It was gathered that her father, Johnson, a 40-year-old commercial motorcyclist committed the atrocious act sometime in May 20 17 and cover d it up until she put to bed.

Trouble started after the girl confided in her aunt last week who in turn reported to the officers at Ikotun Police Division, which fueled Johnson's arrest.

Narrating her story, the girl said: "I am in JSS 3; my mother is late. I have been living with my father and my siblings since my mother died.

“My father is an Okadaman. I was schooling before the incident. That night was the first time my father slept with me. When I discovered I was pregnant, I told him. I was afraid to let anyone know that my father is responsible for my pregnancy at that time.

“Obviously, my father was ashamed. He took me to Iya alagbo (local herb sellers), throughout the duration of my pregnancy. He didn’t want anyone to know.

“It was later I told my aunt that it was my father that got me pregnant when she kept asking me who was responsible. She was shocked.”

On his own part, the suspect insisted it was a one-time thing.

A Croatian footballer has collapsed and died during a football match after the football hit him on the chest.

Until his death, Bruno Boban, 25, played for Marsonia in his homeland and was the leading marksman in the third tier.

With 15 minutes played of Marsoni's clash with Slavonija Pozega, Boban died after he was hit in the chest with a ball from close range.

Medics quickly arrived the scene and spent 40 minutes trying to revive him.

Play continued and he appeared fine, before dropping to the ground, before appearing to completely lose consciousness and collapse onto the floor.

Immediately, players from both sides realised the gravity of the situation and called for aid.

Medics tried desperately to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead moments later.

Meanwhile, the exact cause of his death has not yet been explained.

She said: "After all my surgery and procedures I'm pretty happy, sometimes I think all the money I spent could be in my bank account but at the same time I'm so happy.

"I have spent a lot of money, but I feel very confident with myself and have the power to make more money because of my looks.

"When you're not happy with yourself, feeling upset and not great, you're not going to succeed, now I love myself and I feel happy looking in the mirror.

"If I had to, I definitely would do it all again, all of the surgeries and procedures, but for now I know it's time to focus more on my career, life and business.

"I chose this photoshoot style, because it's similar to some of Kim Kardashian-West's most famous photographs.

"I love when Kim Kardashian does these photoshoots, for me she looks beautiful and I feel like I look great too.

"I gain more confidence every time I do a photoshoot without clothes on, I feel comfortable posing naked with body paint now and could be doing this for a long time.

"When I saw these photographs, I thought it was the most beautiful one I have ever done, I have a more mature look now.


"I think I will still feel confident doing naked shoots into my old age, I did all of my surgeries to remain beautiful - whether I'm 30, 60, 70 I'll still be beautiful, with age comes beauty too.'

Jennifer, who shot to fame after undergoing nine surgeries in the 24-hours, after the death of her boyfriend Celso Santebanes, who was known for his modified look.

He dreamed that she would follow in his footsteps, with her going on to rack up a shocking $500,000 of surgery and procedures.

Most particularly she aimed to imitate her idol's famous derriere and despite already having four pints of fat injected, dreams of an even bigger butt.

Jennifer said: "I wanted to have more done to my butt, when I travelled to turkey, I wished I could do it then, but my doctor has refused.

"He said he would not do it currently, but maybe in the future we can, I never say never, especially when talking about surgery.

"My doctor thinks I am addicted, so he put a stop on me if he didn't I would have kept on doing it, he didn't reject me because it's dangerous, he's just very responsible."

The police at Area M, Idimu Command, Idimu, Lagos have ordered a randy man simply known Shonibare, to refund the N200,000 he was said to have collected from a lady, Mrs. Kudi in the interest of peace.

The randy Shonibare landed in trouble after he was caught by his wife over an illicit affairs with Kudi who was their close neighbour.

The incident happened at Agodo Egbe in Ikotun area of Lagos where they resided.

Trouble started after one of their neighbours informed Shonibare’s wife that something was going on between her husband and Kudi in the area.

The wife reportedly targeted them and caught her husband in Kudi’s house.



She challenged Kudi and asked her to leave her husband alone. It was gathered that Kudi told her that she will never do so as she had no husband at that moment and had invested on her husband which makes it difficult for her.

According to reports, the single lady explained to Shonibare’s wife that she was only dating her husband and their relationship was not for marriage because she had her own children.

It was her refusal and threat that led to a petition to the Area Commander for prompt intervention. The parties were invited for investigations at the Command at Idimu.

It was gathered that during the interrogations, Shonibare and Kudi confessed that they were lovers before ACP Akika and that they were adults who knew what they wanted despite the fact that Shonibare was married.

The police then told them the implication of their actions and conduct which could likely cause the breach of public peace in the area.

A man has become his own grandpa after his 14-year-old daughter gave birth to his child in Abaranje area of Ikotun, Lagos State.

The girl whose name has been withheld disclosed that her biological father is the father of her newborn.

Shock gripped residents when the Junior Secondary School 3 disclosed that after impregnating her last year, her father hid her in a herbal home till she delivered.

It was gathered that her father, Johnson, a 40-year-old commercial motorcyclist committed the atrocious act sometime in May 20 17 and cover d it up until she put to bed.

Trouble started after the girl confided in her aunt last week who in turn reported to the officers at Ikotun Police Division, which fueled Johnson's arrest.

Narrating her story, the girl said: "I am in JSS 3; my mother is late. I have been living with my father and my siblings since my mother died.

“My father is an Okadaman. I was schooling before the incident. That night was the first time my father slept with me. When I discovered I was pregnant, I told him. I was afraid to let anyone know that my father is responsible for my pregnancy at that time.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday declared his readiness to offer amnesty to repentant Boko Haram terrorists.

He made this declaration at the Presidential Villa Abuja during a meeting with the freed Dapch schoolgirls.

In a series of Tweet by the official handle of the Presidency, Buhari assured that his administration will not relent in its effort to curb terrorism in the country.

The tweets read: "President @MBuhari’s Speech at the Reception for the freed Dapchi Girls, at the State House this afternoon:

"I am delighted to formally announce to Nigerians this morning and our International friends and partners that One Hundred and Seven (107) students (105 Dapchi Schoolgirls + 2 others) previously abducted, have been unconditionally released by their abductors.



"This cheering and hearty development signifies our commitment to the security and wellbeing of all Nigerian.

"We are never in doubt about our focus and direction since the assumption of this Administration. Security, anti-corruption and revamping of our economy are the main focus of our Government.

"You will recall that on 14th of this month, I paid a visit to Yobe State during which I sympathized with the parents, families, Government and people of the State on the tragic abduction of the students in Dapchi.

"I made a solemn pledge on my word of honour that this Administration would do everything possible to ensure the unconditional release of the girls.

"I further tasked all the appropriate security agencies to safely bring back the girls. We also reached out to our contacts at home and abroad. We embarked on backchannel shuttles with a clear view to bringing to an end this tragedy.



"We entered into negotiations solely to make sure that no single girl was hurt. This strategy paid off as the girls have been released without any incidents.

"Let me reemphasize our Administration’s commitment to the fight against terrorism and insurgency, and also call on all Nigerians, to join in this task.

"The security services have since been directed to put in place further measures around all schools vulnerable to attacks to ensure the safety of our pupils/students and teachers and school workers.

"I have tasked all the security agencies to work to ensure that we do not witness any reoccurrence of these incidents. Security Chiefs have been warned in clear terms that any lapse on their parts will be viewed seriously.

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the replacement of his National Security Adviser, Gen. Herbert McMaster, with former U.S. Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton.

Trump announced on his Twitter handle that McMaster would handover to Bolton on April 9.

"I am pleased to announce that, effective 4/9/18, @AmbJohnBolton will be my new National Security Advisor.

"I am very thankful for the service of General H.R. McMaster who has done an outstanding job & will always remain my friend.

"There will be an official contact handover on 4/9."



However, McMaster said in a statement released by the White House that he was leaving the position following his retirement from the U.S. Army.

“After 34 years of service to our nation, I am requesting retirement from the U.S. Army effective this summer after which I will leave public service.

“Throughout my career it has been my greatest privilege to serve alongside extraordinary service members and dedicated civilians.

“I am thankful to President Donald J. Trump for the opportunity to serve him and our nation as national security advisor.

“I am grateful for the friendship and support of the members of the National Security Council who worked together to provide the President with the best options to protect and advance our national interests”.
