kpolli: Kpolli is still here, licking his wounds from exam.... Leave Joan alone, she is trying to auction my luv out.... Ok ma, would get it for u.... No I won't be spending my whole summer there, seems I would be going to the mother ship, going back to my old office for a while.awww ... we've got about 3 months to prepare for Fall semester. Hope its better for all of us. If you going to Nigeria, you'd have to carry something for me (clothes). Not much ... just 2 dresses. |
This is too funny!!! ![]() @ Babyosisi: You don't mean harm, but your comment could be interpreted differently. Its seems like the poster was not pleased that's why she said "most women have had these experiences" and she's right. We know what happens when women are imported from Nigeria to meet men over here. It mostly ends up sour. #BraggingRights for some though. @ OP: As ladies get older, we increase our activities at Church and most men at Church ain't no better. My friend was fighting with a lady over a guy in the choir. The guy was two-timing, married a different lady and brought her into the same choir. |
Thanks Yvete! I would like to see a copy of his resume! I have never written any before ![]() Can I list your cousin as a reference?
Send your email to .... and I'd forward it to you. If your family has a small company or you know anyone that has one, send the names and I'd edit the resume for you. I need the names of 2 companies. The reference would only make sense in TX, but no worries. Bookstores hire in the summer so now is the time to snag a job. |
There are no rules to snag that perfect husband. In my early 20s, my mum asked me to start praying for a husband. I'm like, what?? *embarrassed face* But she explained that its not an act of desperation, but specifically asking God for the type of man you'd like. It works because you gradually become the type of woman he'd like. Guess it worked! Start praying.I'll ask you to evaluate your lifestyle, social skills and how people view you (take caution as you thrust your pelvis on dance floors). Make yourself approachable, still go out and have fun. You're right that no man will come to your living room to ask you out. Wear a smile and start conversations with guys you like. I hope all works out well for you, in due season. |
Mamacita007: Yvete come & adopt me lloooooolll. we serve a living God. will u share ur 1st salary as first fruit with me that rejoiced with u?Seems like my thread made the front page. Lolz. I logged in today to see comments. Wow! Some people wrote that I'm preaching false gospel with the first fruits thing. Lolz. I'm like, did I encourage anyone to do this? My dear, God will reward those that rejoice with me. You're blessed! |
nice4life: where is everyone, thought exam is over by now and the party has just begunIs that going to be in LA? Well, you're invited to join Zumunta Association USA. Its a large network for all Northerners and those from the Middle Belt. They have yearly conventions. Check out the California chapter (unless you dislike unnecessary naija affiliations). Lolz |
Where's Kpolli? See Joan has changed camp! Hope you did great on your finals. The only thing I need from the UK is a toothpaste - Euthymol. You know where to find me. Are you spending the entire summer over there? |
from the USA thread!
Lolz. Interesting! ![]() Ma'am, UncleNice is right. You need to be forward about it. Have you tried EDITED? They hire International students. Go to their website EDITED, click on careers at the top and select your school from the drop down menu and apply for the EDITED - Temp position. That's the easiest way to get a job at there. It took my big cousin 2 days to get a response. Although he has gotten his SSN and wants to quit the job already. Haha! I can send you his sample resume if you need it. Make sure you include keywords from the job listing. |
Mamacita007: Is it not u wat said im up studying wen i called? llooooll ill try to finish one chapter b4 sleeping tonite. Ill sleep around 5 or 5:30.Haha! Yea, but I'm sleepy. It's a take home exam so I've got no reason not to make a hundred. The other exam is scheduled for Thursday so I'll jump right into prepping as soon as I'm through with this one. Its gonna be a crazy week. Sleep tight pumpkin! ((hugs)) |
^^ Yea right? You're right on miracles not magic. What time would you go to sleep? *yawns* |
Mamacita007: im sorry if i was rude or said something u didnt like.Naaa.. That's not why I was speechless. Basically, your comment is a repetition of what you said over the phone. I didn't know its this lengthy. I can't be mad at you. Though for you to write all that, you must be really mad. Chill, I un-followed the thread a while back. I'm not moved by what anyone's got to say. Don't take anything online personal, okay? Its mere internet jabs with no effect on my emotion. What happened today is that I clicked following at the top and your comment caught my attention. #Curiosity ~ I COULDN'T HELP BUT LAUGH MY BEHIND OFF! LMAO ... In the name of D***y, please forgive. ![]() |
Wow! I donno what to say, really. |

Would be nice above one's bed. Whenever you're having bad days, positive words could change your mood. #SellingPoint Hope its worth it.

So y'all are Redeemed members? Used to attend one Redeemed Church then, but found it too 'tribal' (you know what I mean). Kpolli do you usher or sing at Church? ![]() I'm sorry Mamacita, just had to drop a line on your favorite thread ... Had a great bad laugh! #StruggleForRelevance backfires! |
Mamacita007: lloooooooooll usa fire thread. Naa... his turn |
I don't think God can be happy with you refusing to sleep with your lawfully wedded husband/wife after keeping yourself for so long and especially on your wedding night. Infact if one spouse is not happy with such 'fruit giving' and the other one stubbornly insists, I suspect such person may be attracting God's wrath. I may be wrong sha & I cant speak for myself since I'm not married. Besides, its not surprising when you attend some weddings & when its time for dance dance dance, you'll see the couple dance for just some minutes & after that, they'll be nowhere to be found
Haha! Very very funny, but true. I don't think God will be unhappy, but he might just be like, "its the things I didn't ask my children to do that they worry about lolz ". I always think that a missing couple went to eat away from the cameras. ![]() |
nice4life: Aunty Yvette how are you na? mamacita has opened a new thread for us , she has sanctified and separated it so it can be free from e-fighting and cursing. LolHaha UncleNice! It better be sanctified from e-fighting. And as she screamed die, die, die, in my head I'm shouting Amen Amen Amen! Haha ... Mamacita has turned us to prayer warriors. How you been? @ Mamacita: Seems like Justwise freaked out when he saw die, die, die loooolz. e-drama is draining and he's doing a good job hiding posts because some people may come back and quote you ... then the drama continues! Okay, I've left the US thread so where's my $100 aka 1st fruit ?? :| Ain't playin' |
kpolli: Self ur post just reminded me I have a group project due mid night but it has been done, just to submit it...I was forming 'I prefer to work alone' in one of my classes and I'm feeling the impact right now. Lolz. It was due yesterday and mine's not done yet. I'm in trouble!Did anyone play DVLottery last year? I didn't. Now wishing I did. Heard the results would be out tomorrow. |
Mamacita007: To all my good friends in this section im sending success wishes your way as u prepare for finals. kpolli, yvete, anthonymighty, joan, imperriox, nice4life hahahaha & co. May God grant us excellent grades & dont forget the library is open for extended hours this period (how do i know? I WORK THERE!awww .. My Yellow paw-paw, very thoughtful of you. Lolz. Are you sending Uncle Nice back to Grad School? Best wishes everyone! Study HARD for finals! |
Just curious to know if anyone has done this. The idea is, just as you offer your first fruit of labor to God, likewise it is encouraged, not mandatory to offer your wedding night as a first fruit of marriage. Basically, a newly wedded couple should abstain from intimacy on their wedding night and instead spend the night singing praises, and giving thanks in prayer. My pastors wife encouraged this "oath" or "offering" at pre-marital class. Although, some guys were straight up honest, " NO!". They weren't smiling. I think its a good way to start off married life (to pray against mis-fortunes, to pray for unborn children, ...etc). "Bring the best of the first fruits of your soil to the house of the Lord your God" (Ex. 23:19). Has anyone ever pledged to do this? |
Wow @ Rocktation Are you a wedding planner? That is so helpful. I have questions - how do we come up with a wedding budget? If our parents know a lot of people, how do I know who will attend and who wouldn't? What is the average cost of a wedding in Nigeria? Is making a budget the first step in wedding planning? Thanks. |
Lovin' this brilliant article! Like some women, I'm not comfortable with the terms 'feminist" and "feminism" because it easily translates into anti-male or man-hater, and being 100% submissive to Mr. XYZ, I don't identify with that. So what are catchy words to replace those? -- Strong woman, driven, great mum with a mind of her own? I guess! As women, we strive to find a balance between 'home-maker' and 'woman-in-the-suit'. What makes this all so sweet is having a real man as a leader. One that understands your vision as person. My thoughts are deep. I'm a woman with strong presence and personality. Often times, it could make some boyz uneasy, but men wouldn't. Last week, I jokingly told Mr. XYZ that I'd love to be a stay-home mum, exercise and watch TV all day, and he said "Naa ... It won't fit you!" In other words, Yay to the article ...Ogugua88: You're an intelligent young lady though I've got issues with your eyebrows. I see you in a position of leadership. |
ladunsky: PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE COS U " MIGHT" BE IN FOR A SHOCK.......... MY EXPERIENCE WITH ........... WAS SHOCKING.... A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISEGurrrrlll, spill the beans! ![]() |
Mamacita007: Then stay in naija and marry her. committ everything to the hand of God and God will provide all ur needsI think I may be done with it already. Lolz. Like I've got a life outside NL ... its not that serious. Though I just realized I exert so much influence on that thread. For a 30-something years old man to be intimidated by Lil Yvete says a lot. Like I didn't even read part 1 of that thread, who gives a fk if you were active in part 1? ![]() You guys should stop derailing Americana's thread! ... in exam mood ... Got so much work! Kpolli:- when will yours be over? GOD HELP ME STAY OUT OF NL TILL MAY 9th! |
@ Mamacita: Yea, comments on NL could reveal a lot about a person. One could easily figure out a person's temperament, beliefs and thought process through their posts. Besides, with the fakeness and multiple identities going on here, you'll be shocked that it could be the same red-eyed homie thats after you this time! No hooking up on NL abeg!kpolli: He has more money than meCan't happen. Loyalty is to Kpolli, all day, everyday. ![]() |
Lolz. Interesting read! How you managed to type all that in pidgin english is impressive. |
moroh: Hmmmmmm.nice post. You have nothing to worry about unless you've got acne and "blood in your eyes". ![]() |
Shollypopz: We do have online stores in Nigeria. Nairaland even advertises one for wristwatches......Nice one! I use aliexpress for virgin hair, Lolz, straight from China! HeheheeBay is my heaven. When I was younger, used to shop at asos /topshop dot com or greatglam dot com (everyone wears the same clothes and I didn't like that). |
kpolli: 10 yrs and u never marry amHaba! Lolz. They could have been Sec. School sweethearts. I think some people still date that long (it depends on the age of the lady anyways). Weddings are expensive. |
Joan ... You're gorg! Pretty and young. ![]() |
Mz Joan ... Where's the picture? You could be on NL front page in a heartbeat. |

Used to attend one Redeemed Church then, but found it too 'tribal' (you know what I mean). Kpolli do you usher or sing at Church?
