Can anyone kindly notify me when there's an appointment availability for March or early April at the Abuja embassy?

I already scheduled an interview for a guest on a B1/B2 visa, but April is too far off. Seems like I need to cancel this appointment in order to re-schedule. I don't want to lose this spot.

I'm inviting a relative over here. Thanks.

ifedinnma: I tot of going natural but dnt know if I can maintain it.
I'm currently 5mnths post relaxer and wish I can go further but a friend said it wld break.

Thanks you all as I wait for your advise

No ma'am. If you read earlier posts on this thread, its not advised to stretch longer than 4-5 months if you already got weak ends or you're transitioning. I did a 6-month stretch 2 years ago and I lost everything. Please grab a texturizer/normal relaxer and blow out your roots with your ends nicely oiled or vaseline-d before applying a perm.

nyamburambuthia: Hallo all. Just wondering, what is there in Jamaican Black Castor Oil that is missing in our African castor oil?
Nyams

Excuse my ignorance. There is an African castor oil Do you know where its made? Like in Nigeria or other parts of Africa? I've used JBCO consistently for over 4 years and it sure works.

Wow!! Please don't use HQ on your lips cos you'll hate yourself afterwards. Get as little as 10% Vit C serum or do the typical lemon juice and sugar scrub.

I quickly calculate my age and ran out of the house so he won't strangulate me in the middle of the night. Welcome aboard. cheesy Had a good laugh this morning. The Lord is your strength.

Rebarobyn: visa type is b1/b2. If she's going to have her baby in the usa asides attending the baptism, it is important for her to declare her full intention at the embassy and also prove she's made plans to pay out of pocket for her medical expenses etc and that she has no intention to access medicaid or other privileges for non citizens. Pls read the thread pages from the beginning for any other info. But key thing is to be honest.

Thanks much. We originally decided to conceal pregnancy, but I read a few pages backwards and it makes sense. I'd love for her to get 3-6 months stamped at POE. What other excuse can we come up with?

Alemo50: anytime I visit USA my colleagues there envy me- I work half as much as they do, have a decent house, can visit America in summer, not much of anxiety etc.

Nasty comments like this is the reason why most people struggle with opening their doors to visitors from Nigeria. Some of you come with a competitive mindset. Who cares?? Never heard of Doctor's Hospital, Manhattan? FYI, that's where "envied" people go. cheesy

Temismith: @julieni, i was told not to sleep on my back as well, i refused to listen, den i did some research on it and i discovered myself dat it is risky to sleep on d back during pregnancy. Start learning to sleep on ur side (especially on ur left side). Using pcm isn't soo gud too, try to avoid it if u can, and if odawise, make it once in a looooong while. All d best ma'am. Take alto of water and rest well.

Thanks for the info. I'm a front sleeper. Faced down guarantees a good sleep for me. I'm trying, but wake up faced down every morning. Hope it's no biggie. I'll work on getting used to my left side.

I've become so nervous and anxious. I need God more right now. Before I eat anything, I google for side-effects and benefits. I don't know.

Hello everyone. Visitor's visa are usually granted on what basis? I'd love to invite my preggy cousin in Nigeria to have her baby in Houston. Did you interview before you got pregnant or at the early stage of your pregnancy (she's a couple weeks pregnant)? Did you come in for a conference, vacation or medical checkup? I'm inviting her for a baby dedication as a godmother at baptism. grin Is it good enough and can anyone help with a better idea? Seems like El Paso is popular on this thread.

tzetzefly: The onus to prove lies on the invitees during their interview that they know the inviter. Else they will find it difficult to convince the VO.

Yea, that's true. One last clarification, it's okay to send an invite as a PR, not only for USC, right? Thanks a bunch. You've been helpful Tzetzefly (haven't heard that word in forever). cheesy

Pipsland78: I believe I cant get her into the US till I become a citizen which would take 5yrs. Thing is I cant wait 5yrs ooo, me I wan settle down and start a family ooo. But cant a brother meet a good, respectful girl that cooks and wouldnt plan to divorce me later in the US? Is US really that messed up? ][/b]

Haba Uncle Pipsland! You haven't left your girlfriend in Nigeria, but you're considering options with another lady. grin shakes head!
Btw, got your PM.

The US is what you make of it. Your host, to an extent, determines how easy your experience will be. Lucky you, there's no better way to migrate to the US than with a green card. F-1 sucks, OPT and H-1 is corporate slavery.

tzetzefly: Write a single IV letter for the five persons with their names and passport numbers, and send a copy to the Dept of State for record purpose while you also send the same copy to the invitees for presentation during their interview.

Indicate on the letter if you will be responsible for their stay while in the States.

Thanks for the prompt response. I didn't know DOS should be notified of our intent to invite family. Thing is, I have other siblings that are also responsible for their stay. My cousin (in the early stage of her pregnancy) will be the only person staying with me. I asked one of my older siblings to use their information, but the income may not be good enough to host 5 people that's why we suggest a group invitation. What other document is required - Tax papers and statement of account?
Thanks and happy new year.

Happy New Year! Quick question, would it be an overkill to invite about 5 people from Nigeria with 4 invitation letters, tax papers and bank statements?

We are not paying for their tickets, only hosting them in the US. Is there a family application (like a folder with everybody's info in Nigeria combined with my siblings and I over here in the US )? Don't know if this makes sense or do anyone advise that we send one invitation and supporting documents of whoever earns the most? Should they visit the Embassy individually with unique docs.

Hey Uzoo. Happy New year! Did you record growth with your last stretch? Mine got fuller (which I don't really need) with about an inch growth. Not impressed. I'm rocking long braided twists for the holidays until late January. Do you have a hair regimen for braids?

WOW, What a transformation! I lived in Bata briefly for two years in the 90's. Then it was quite underdeveloped. The people are close-knit, welcoming and addicted to BOOZE (malamba). If you think Tiv people drink a lot, you ain't seen nothing till you get to EG. Haha!
