toyeoye: Fuel subsidy will be removed before May 29? Any thoughts on how the market might react please?
https://www.nairaland.com/7615438/fg-abolish-petrol-subsidy-before Apparently, there are plans to move NNPC listing on the NSE to next year. Obviously sharp increase in prices of goods and services except there's a mass transit plan to assuage the pains. Trains are not well connected to assist in commodity transportation. A government that has chosen to put the cart before the horse. Any how government. Stocks operating in the downstream sector and transport companies without much thinking. Vat to 10%. That's wickedness if they're not going to increase minimum wage and divulge economic power to states. |

yok: THIS GLOBAL STOCK MARKET IS IT Beign close to the market is good. Fortunately, I don't buy risky stocks again. I am eyeing some banks stocks, FRC did some margic today. I could have bought TFC, but I decide to port to SOXL
Sprouti is good. No commission is big deal, can you imagine, I sold the BTG I bought yesterday (at breakeven due to no commission) and this for part of the money that went to SOXL I'm having itchy fingers for FRC. Still searching for clearance.. |

Chart on the left shows that the banking sector looked good. Interest spurred on towards the last 2hours of the day. We can temporarily say we are safe. Perhaps, there might be no use for the cutlass people have sharpened... yet.

OakPearl: If you have funds to invest long term in the US market, this is the time to invest in the best companies with sound fundamentals /health.
I have found a gem of a company for long term. $ZIM $20.83 and it’s on Trove, meaning it’s likely available on Bamboo and Chaka.
The following are the fundamentals behind this stock:
Book value/share $46
Cash value per share $32
Special dividend to be paid next week $6.40
Adjusted EBIDTA guidance/share $1.7
30-50% annual dividend policy
Cyclical bottom as FED interest rate has peaked
Inventory overflow now depleted and freight rates should stabilize and go higher
Long investment, short squeeze or 2 weeks swing trade opportunity. Either way, the set up is great.
Shorts were expecting the company to burn cash next year but instead, company guidance given for positive EBITDA and EBIT , catching short traders off guard!
It’s a shipping company called Zim Integrated Shipping Company Ltd. Damn!! All in!!! OakPearl you and your pick!! *modified* This is one tricky stock |

RabbiDoracle: Watch Swiss bonds.
There was massive rush into the bonds yesterday that collapsed the 2-year yield by 40% in just 1 day.
Now the 2 year bond yield is collapsing again by 25% just some minutes into trading.
I think there are stresses in the global banking space and the epicentre may be in Switzerland.
And secondly, why did SEC tell Credit Suisse to delay the release of their annual results via a phone call last week. What did they see? What is the scale of CS loss?
And $CS CEO, as at this morning, is even rejecting the board's bonus for the year end 2022 and taking a pay cut. Kilode?
Nkan be!!! Woke up to feed on twitter about Swiss distress. I was like "Mogbe!!" The epic centre of financing!! |

More stress test being conducted. Time to think outside the banking stocks for me. There are a lot of blacksmiths in here smiling to your response. I want to be like PeetObi. I don't stress myself with making picks . Whenever "formal economy" is going bananas, gold and crypto related stocks are your best bet for quick runs. MARA(my preferred fallback) pulled a 28% high as of yesterday. Looking if it can pull great numbers today again before I bring out the sickle. |

yMcy56: Lol. Boss don't mind my comment.
Actually, this type of scenario has played out one time like that, which does not affect NSE as such. Since the foreigners left the bulk of the trading to the locals, it seems like some kind of blessings in disguise for our local market, especially with the events happening in major countries like the US......it's not having sharp decline on NSE, unlike when the foreigners dominated the market.
This' my newbie's view of it. Truly, we can never pick a better time to be grateful to them, but still this NSEBNK index is not looking good from the minutes to the hour charts ooo |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Zagee: 12:21pm On Mar 13, 2023 |
YoungBuffet: It depends on the composition of the market players, if foreign investors are many on our NSE trust by now everything would have been red top to bottom. You see, sometimes FPIs are not good . Make this scale of price change I dey see here make e no cross the Atlantic ocean oh.. But still we have to be on the look-out. |

Just know that we can't force things on anyone.....just like those giving predictions based on TA can't force anything on anyone. You all are giving guides which are highly appreciated by someone like me sha.
However, what I do call you out for is about throwing shades at those with contrary opinion to yours.......as well as rubbishing Technical Analysis (TA), which is one of the strong tools used in investing. Best in investigative journalism award!! Ah!! |

Remember many bought higher before COVID occurred, it became an avenue for some with good cashflow to average down. Some took loans, some without fund did siddon look, etc.
Can't forget the efforts of @RabbiDoracle urging people to buy @ below 11 that time........with some convincing facts and all that. How many remembered to come back and thank him? .....but to throw shades dey quick them. Where's Peter? I will never forgive that guy with neimeth |

yMcy56: Bros, why these stone throwing upandan nah?? If you have issues with anyone's post or prediction(s), the most honourable thing to do is to be constructive about it cos we view the market from different perspectives and someone like me don't have to necessarily agree with your own perspective.
I've had course to argue with Pa Emma here on some occasions despite that he's a sage and knows the market inside out.......and me, I be newbie.
As at yesterday, the market still closed +ve despite your "run", "take cover" msgs. Some still didn't agree with your view, doesn't me we'll be throwing stones at you for that.
What happened to your below post on 8th Feb and other consequent ones?
Pls note that, even during COVID-19, some of us were still here. Soooo, if bear wan come or if na bull, all is well and good. God no go shame us.
