Good thoughts!

In February 20 when Zagee made below post, I just said OK. grin
Geregu was selling at around 224 that time; moved up to 325 thereafter.........and later settled @323....
Funny enough, I told someone that I had the gut feelings it would touch 300 when it was trading at below 200, when I later saw the post I just laughed. Thank God it didn't go sideways, I for hear am... tongue
...and this was me 2 days later. That goal post I have scored a 340% capital growth + dividend. And I have exited. Except, some long term institution is coming to buy at 300 no wahala.

The reason for the low trading vol can not be unconnected to the relatively minot unit in free float that's currently in the hands of minority holders.

For emphasis; minority investors hold just 3.18% of total OS... an equivalent of approx 854.2M unit out of over 26.86B.

Analysis of the share structure shows that KEY holders (foreign & institutional investors alike) have mostly increased their stake in the last 3-5 years.
...they aren't selling.

We can only hope to buy more from the 3.18% minority. wink cheesy cool
Let the price drop!

On IB. Based on TA, for a stock that seems to be churning out losses, its really not getting the beating it requires(WHY?). Nobody's dropping off significant volumes. Infact the only major drop came few weeks ago on the weekly chart, yet interest on the stock has been picking up. Whatever it is. Time will reveal.

If you ask me, I'll be personally pessimistic about this stock while holding it. (what should we call this kind of psychological reasoning now?)

On significant price drop, I doubt that.

Honestly, that N7.07 MTO peg from OANDO is quite unfair.
Someone said the last right issue on the coy was at N22 in 2014.
...and after nearly a decade, OANDO is now proposing to pay just 32% of that amount.
That's ridiculous!

Value destruction at its peak.
...it's very unfortunate!
Shareholders should come together and resist that offer, so they'll up that peg... otherwise they join them in going private.
I think the "drivers" of OANDO may be...
N10 is even a bit too small.

I feel for previous long term holders of the stock. cry cry
Capitalist drive-bye on shareholders. If they can get more, they should resist!

So what will happen to those who bought at N30?

https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/37954_OANDO_PLC-OANDO_PLC__CORPORATE_ACTIONS_MARCH_2023.pdf
Hehehe. I had this thought yesterday owing to the fact that they have sold off their positions in the downstream sector to NNPC in 2022 through a third party.(hence they have enough cash at hand).
Oh well sorry for people who bought above 7 naira.

As for me, I might have closed another deal 🤝 grin

This things happen my dear, so nothing to fret about.
...they are a part of the risk factors that can impact the life circle of an asset/company and oftentimes even unexpectedly.
Though it followed a defined pattern, no one expected the debt crisis in Ghana to escalate to these levels.

That said, it isn't a problem. wink cheesy
It's largely a one-off kind of situation and NOTHING that ZENITH BANK can not handle!

This sought of things only present a opportunity for descending investors.
Opportunities might turn up in some banks in the course of time.
Our duty is to be ready so as tap from them whey they come.
That's it!!

FA on Transcorp is fantastic I think......from my newbie's angle....
Check TA and get back too.

I'm another news, the 5.5M mountain of offers in ZENITH @26 will likely still be dismantled.,.. grin
Transcorp is certainly in bull territory. The last time we had this spike we hit 2. We can only wait for whatever is driving the market. Jijoist can play around, but me I bought these 100 units for keep sha

we can say the volume is not there, but still, interest persists.

As for Zenith, definitely breaking 26. Expecting 31 on a monthly high. How soon? I leave it to the market.

The company appears to have turned the corner... after transitioning from a loss position of over N141B in 2020 to a positive NPM in Q4, 2021.
They said majority of that loss came from settling stakeholders. As for their downstream activities, I wonder what they're into though as they have mostly sold out their positions on retail outlets through OVH to NNPC. It'll be nice to have more info on their downstream assests.

all the 3 major candidates agreed to remove fuel subsidy, PH refinery will be working soon and if dangote refinery comes on board i believe there will be less pressure on fx demand and gradually things will take shape. There will likely be increase in social spending in all ramifications and i expect the health sector, construction sector, the transportation sector, the agricultural sector, the fintech and power sector to benefits greatly from this. We would have around 4trilion naira that would be on social spending. Though at first it may be hard but as time goes on thing will get shape. Am of the opinion that the subsidy should be removed but all our refinery should be working to complement that of Dangote
I don't hold any grudge as to the removal of subsidy. It's just this anyhow approach to governance when it comes to Nigeria.
