Good morning guys
Please what does FEA mean and how can I get it?

FEA means Federal Appointment Agency. To be able to work in Germany you need an approval from them. Your employer should be able to make this application for you and send you the approval so you can take it with you for your interview.

You can find more info here: https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/looking-for-foreign-professionals/targeted-recruitment/entering-working-in-germany/admission-labour-market/

Good morning
I got an employment contract as a production helper to work in a factory in Germany. What category am I supposed to book in Is it work permit/skilled immigration act?
Please I need replies thankw

Book for a work visa. Only book for the "Skilled immigration act" if your employer has done the necessary procedure with the immigration office in Germany and has gotten a "pre-approval".

FInd more details about the "Skilled immigration act" requirements here: https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/visa/skilled-immigration-act/

One thing I know for sure is that the embassy is following the queue accordingly, except for few cases.

Secondly, your new passport won’t be a problem, provided you go along with your old passport which has the passport number that was used for your appointment booking.
Without your old passport, you will be asked to cancel and rebook your appointment.
Good luck

Any idea if they have started attending to work visa application since after the lockdown?

Thank God I had finally got an appointment for 14/09/2020 for certification of my documents. Uni Bremen had insisted on only The German Consulate for certification of documents. If you are heading to Uni Bremen log in now and book your appointment before they get filled up again. I d been on it for weeks and couldn't get appointment. I will also seize the opportunity to ask questions when I get their on Monday as regards AD. Best of luck guys

How did it go?

Nothing bro.
Do you understand what this means? "Issue of national visas under a simplified procedure is currently not possible"

Basically, for people that were issued visas before the border restrictions and their visas has expired, they introduced a "simplified procedure" to reissue new visas to the affected people. But The Consulate in Nigeria is not currently offering that service hence that message.

I agree with you. I already sent them a message through the contact form.

I had an appointment that was canceled in March due to the pandemic.

So it's a case of been reassigned a new date as they told me.

Please let me know when you get a feedback.

Hello, have you gotten any reply from the embassy yet?

Same with me. Had an appointment on March 27th, that was cancelled too.

I'll send them a message via the contact form.

I'll keep you posted on any feedback. Please do keep me posted if you get any. Thanks

I've been eagerly waiting for news about this as well.

Read this and tell me what you think:
https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/vertretungen/generalkonsulatlagos

International flights are banned still. So even with a visa travel is not possible.

But since visa Family reunion is been considered, I'll like to know how they approach the issue of travel.

From the link, it seems we would need to contact the embassy via the contact form stating that we need an appointment for Blue card visa since its part of the exception for travellers that can enter germany. We can try this and see the feedback we get from them.

As for the issue of International travel, From recent news it seems operations might start in september or october, so there is a bit of hope there. Generally visa processing will take a while due to covid, so if we can dates in september, visas should be out around the time international travel is possible, Or we just go to cotonou and book flight

Please does anyone know if the embassy has started attending to work visa/blue card applications??
Travel / Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by zamani234: 10:06am On Jul 20, 2020
Hello nolia66, Trust you are doing great. When you went for your interview, did you see people coming in for other categories of visa asides family reunion? e.g work visa,??

nolia66:

I think that is not much of a big deal, just go with the certificate you have, use that one to enter first, when you get to the interviewer then you can then explain and tell them you have a pending exam. I bet all they would ask you to do is to resubmit that one at a later date. You just have to make sure you pass this time around. Goodluck

I've been told to get a police character report. Is this really needed at the embassy?
Travel / Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by zamani234: 5:40pm On Mar 07, 2020
You can put the address of your company over there.

Dsalz:

Thank you both, I've done that now. Hopefully, I get a date in April as i'm supposed to resume in May but they said they can push it back to June for visa delays.

Is it compulsory to fill the residence portion of the visa application form when applying for blue card entry visa?

I have a rental agreement with a real estate company over there but don't want to pay till i actually get the visa and am sure of going (i've informed the landlord)
Travel / Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by zamani234: 7:18pm On Mar 03, 2020
Do you qualify to apply for the Blue card? If your salary is above 55,200 euros and you have a university degree, then you qualify. You can cancel the one you applied for currently and reapply for a blue card visa

Dsalz:

I got a job over there and the company is talking about applying for the blue card when I get to Deutschland but if applying for it from here makes the visa process faster then I think that 's the best bet

I already booked an appointment under "work visa" so is it advisable to cancel that appointment and book again? @temitayoolu @Sam8850

Hi Guys. Please i need help on this matter.

I can see on the embassy's visa checklist that "NPC birth certificate or Age declaration" is required.

For a Nigerian born abroad, can they tender their foreign birth certificate?
