I need advice. I got admitted to Conestoga college for May 2024.

It says the below:

Estimated tuition fee for the first academic year of the program 8
months of study: $20,604.50 CAD
Estimated tuition fee for the first semester of the program 4months of
study: $10,150.00, CAD
Program Length: 2 Academic Year(s) (Periods Of 8 Months)

This letter of acceptance replaces all previous offers issued and
will expire unless:
A $1,500.00 non-refundable deposit is received by the
College on or before: October 15, 2023
The balance of the first semester tuition fees are paid and
received by the College by: February 13, 2024
Proof of study permit authorization/approval letter is
uploaded to the International Registration Portal
Note: If the above payments are not received by the College before the dates
listed above, you may not be eligible for the program.

*My question is if i can pay the $1,500.00 non-refundable deposit and be issued the LOA i need for a study permit application and also if yes to this - will the fact that i paid just $1,500.00 be a red flag to the IRCC seeing as the college said to pay the balance of the first semester tuition fees by February* Or if i should just pay the $10,150.00 at once. Though i do not have it complete right now. If 1,500 would do i would rather go for that and make the visa application then get ready to pay the funds when due as the Uni asked.

Please help me based on experience everyone.

If you are resuming in January 2024 you can still make your payment after your deadline but you most complete the first semester fee required from your LOA before you travel to Canada.

A friend of mine did the same thing even he paid 3 days before his flight and gotten his acknowledge payment receipt while his on transit before landed, upon landed no officer was asking him any single thing.

Note: make sure you pay your first semester tuition fee as required from your LOA before you travel to Canada .

You can email the school and inform them how difficult you are facing through your bank to make the payment to school.

Trust me that's what a friend did and they responded that they are aware of that and he should make sure he pay the fee before travel to Canada inorder to avoid officer query at the Airport..

Too good to be true. Trust but verify. Most RCICs i know secure admission free. You only pay the schools processing fee. Some of them are here.

I tried Convera and gave up. When you select it and fill their form they'll give you account details and like three working days to pay. But i think when you do the calculation the difference is negligible.

Yes, Fanshawe requires applicant from Nigeria to go through designated agent.

But I was able to register and got admitted with 30 minutes without the help or agent. So it saves me 100k to 150k for the agent fee

WISE is not here https://www.conestogac.on.ca/international/apply-to-conestoga/fees-and-payment. They use payment processors listed there. Flywire ,Convera and the rest. Of the rate,it's what it is,man. You have to do what you have to do. Convera is cheaper but you will have to buy dollar and banks charge at least 45usd in swift charges.

Yes i did. Paid tuition deposit and later rest of full term tuition that way. Any bank in nigeria including opay will do. Follow every instruction on conestoga page ,connect flywire right from same page. General security tip always confirm the web address on your browser to make sure it's flywire.com or precisely conestogac.flywire.com. Emails from flywire must be anything@flywire.com any other domain is not them.

Only God will save us in this trying time. I saw 730 rate on flywire 2 days ago and test day it has already gotten to like 740. I’m equally frustrated and tired.
I’m really sorry for bother but my bro have you ever used WISE to make any payment to conestoga? I checked their website and their rate is really cheap. I only few days before my deadline for payment.

I did a correction on my NIN DOB and it’s suppose to have been corrected before today(Friday) but anytime I check in the NIN app the corrected has not been made. Now my capturing is early next week.
Should I go and capture first or wait till it’s done? Will I be able to do it anytime after my appointment date? Please help

HELLASJ Good day brother. My capturing is next week In minna, but I’ve never been to the state/city. My questions are
1) When the passport is ready, how can I get someone to waybill it for me? I live in a far place
2) how many weeks maximum before the passport is ready?
3) you said something about signing the guarantors form for #500 in the NIS premises, do you mean the oath stamp? Or I can see someone to use as a guarantor there?

I need a new phone and have drawn up a list of phones that fit into my budget , I'm actually looking at not spending more than 130k but may stretch my limit to 155k ( the costliest on the list ). If the phone can justify the extra cash I'll dole on it. The list is

Redmi note 10pro - 140k
Poco M3 - 68k
Poco X3 pro - 116k
Vivo 21e - 129k
Mi 11 lite - 155k
Reno 5f - 138k

I specifically want a phone with a good and sharp display , fluidity should be good as well. A large screen size but not too large ( 6.5" - 6.8" ) , 6 or 8 gigs of Ram , 128gig < Rom. A good processor , preferably a snapdragon over an MTK but will take the MTK if it performs better. Excellent battery life , good camera , a good screen resolution and refresh rate. Other features that aren't too important but may tip my favour are wireless charging , NFC and fingerprint ( I'll prefer an onscreen fingerprint scanner if I can afford it ). I also would prefer a dual sim phone with a dedicated card slot as this would save me the cost of getting a smaller phone ( I have 2 sims and a memory card I need to use ).

The only reason I'm putting the Poco M3 is because I'll make a great saving ( 47k less than the next on the list ) while still getting a reasonable mid ranger but are the features I'm missing really worth the savings or does it not matter that much in the end .

Going by the features I'm seeing on the phones I'm seriously tilting towards the Poco X3 pro ( snapdragon 860 and a large 6.67" screen but a hybrid sim ) or the Vivo 21e ( 8gigs of Ram , superb 64mp camera and 44mp selfie camera but a poor 4000 mAh battery ).

Which do you guys think would be worth it's price ?

On a side note , the Vivo 21e advertised on Jumia says it comes with an MTK Dimensity 800 processor but snapdragon 720G is listed on GSMArena.

Please where did you see the Poco m3 for #68,000?
