Hey bro. I know it’s been a while, I think I just did the same mistake you did last year. I sent my documents via DHL and it’s delivered to vfs today Monday. I forgot to write my email on the data page but I wrote on a white sheet of paper. My question is when did dhl called u to come pick up the return document? a day after? or when?

I sincerely dont remember again but i did not have any problem with it.

It is a sad experience.

Please guys, since I missed this month health draw. I cannot hold my proof of funds any longer.

The previous health draw was done in February and this one, yesterday.


(1) When do you advise I start gathering proof of funds again. Seeing the next one might be December.


(2) I have a lump sum of 10,000 cad that has been in my account for over 6 months. It was sent as a lump sum. Should this make me worried because it was sent as a lump sum?

Please when is the next health draw. I miss this draw because I did not transmit after updating my profile......so unbelievably sad.

Do u av work experience with NOC 33101 in the last 3yrs? They started this category draw last year 2023. And part of the requirement is that you must have had work experience with that NOC in the last 3yrs with a minimum of 6month work experience (i.e from 2021 - 2023)

Sister! My advice is that you study the whole of page 1. After reading come back and ask anything you are confused about and the good people here will assist. But make sure say you don already study wella....make the seniors no begin vex.

The summary is that if your job duties match an NOC e.g. 12345 (na example o) then you are good to go with that NOC, provided you can get a ref letter from your employer that fits exactly what IRCC wants to see (for that one...see page 1 post 5). Job duties is the koko your job title and degrees are irrelevant.

If you are targeting CBD, remember that the CBD NOC in your profile must be work experience from the last 3 years. You may get the ITA (not sure how the system is configured) but if the VO assessing your app sees that the work na from more than 3 years ago....I no know wetin fit happen. If no be CBD, then work experience from the last 10 years works for regular FSW. Na there my understanding reach.

Go to page 1 post 3 and read up on the section that has this...and FAQ 14 to 16 too....

Work experience does NOT need to match education/degree for FSW. FSW work experience is not about what you studied as a degree, but what you do/did in your job e.g. an engineering graduate working as a barber must choose the NOC for barbers not engineers.

Hey,

Check the NOC code more carefully 31101 is specialist in surgery, are you a surgeon? is that what you did in your 1st year of employment?
Check out 33101 and 32120, they are the closest to MLS. If the employment requirement of the NOC code says you need a diploma/degree, usually it’s best to have a diploma/degree in that field though with convincing proof in the reference letter(initial formal training) and a close enough/related course some folks in the past did not have issue.
So what field was your Bsc?

If your end goal is Healthcare category based ITA, kindly note that the Medical laboratory assistant/technologist experience is expected to have been within the last 3 years to qualify. This should be reflected in your reference letter.

Employment letter is not a requirement only employer reference letter is- as proof of work experience, some applicants choose to submit employment letter anyways. You can choose not to submit.

Guys please want to switch to the NOC code 31101 medical laboratory assistant.

My NOC code is biologist and related scientist(21110). I worked my first year in the lab as a medical laboratory scientist and the next 4 years as a biologist in the same organization. My employment letter carries the name biologist and my masters program is in biotechnology( NOT MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE) my supervisor is willing to give me a reference letter for the time period i worked as a medical lab scientist , but my employment letter still says biologist.

My Questions are?

(1) submitting a reference and employment letter with different job description, is it not a red flag?

(2) Must my masters program be in the NOC code ( medical laboratory science)?

That is my advise. However, to be an embryologist, you have to be lucky to find an organization willing to give you your first big break, then you grow from there. You just must have a science background .

Guys I landed in Canada on Sunday.

I flew through British airways and i landed at Montreal. Everything went smooth and easy at the immigration. They only asked me what i am hete for and the name of my employer.

It is summer here and can be a little chilly because of the wind(for me)

I have been receiving visitors from my colleagues and employers .

I realize that I didn’t bring enough clothes, i just packed mainly foodstuffs.

I haven’t tried their food yet, although my employer left some foodstuffs innthe fridge for me, i brought cooked food from Nigeria. Surprisingly they were still blocked. It saves me because all i do is cook rice and make eba.

Today i ate correct eba and vegetable soup with plenty okporoko and dried fish(the one i brought from home)

Please don’t ask me how i got the job. I have answered it too many times already…. Just look for it.

It is a beautiful place. I haven’t started making friends yet but my colleagues have been inviting me to their houses. Example, i have dinner on Sunday with my boss, his family and grandparents.

I am going for an auction tomorrow whete they bid for horses and cows, it is going to be like a carnival.


I haven’t officially resumed because i came a week earlier, but i spend my free time praying, opening accounts, medical insurance, reading about my job.
