Siena:

Bro, this is pure sales pitch, it's all about you shifting your cars. You're not being straight here either. There's no automobile manufactured, that is:

* 100% fuel efficient. No combustion can ever be 100%, it just isn't possible, as long as it runs on gasoline or diesel.
* Maintenance costs 100% what?? 100% cheap? because your statement makes no sense.
* 100% durable. That doesn't exist either.
* 100% reliable. No car is 100% reeliable.

You're obviously in love with your 100% tags. How did you arrive at your percentage??

Hello Mr Siena,
I concur with your opinion outline above but the reason why i used the perecntage here is to enable & assist people to make the comparison to the fullest of their ability and in a simple format.

Thanks

Siena: What model years are you comparing? What engine sizes?

It would also help if you stated the Honda model, so you can get contributions from a wider audience. I have no idea what an EOD is, besides it being a Honda model.

@dustydee I concured with you 100%.

But the only way for FG to tackle the problem of BH and all othere militants in Nigeria is SOCIAL JUSTICE. The income distribution in nigeria is so unequal what i meant is that the "gap between the rich and the poor is so wide".

Secondly, let's the FG make it bold that its realy want to tackle the situation.

This is my opinion.

Politics / General Gusau Is Returning As A National Security Adviser Adviser (nsa) by zeennurei(m): 8:46am On Sep 19, 2011
General Aliyu Gusau may bounce back as National Security Adviser if he accepts overtures from President Jonathan, who is himself under pressure from the West to bring back the former NSA because of the country’s recent security problems, government sources told Daily Trust in Abuja.

Gusau served as NSA for seven years till 2006 during the tenure of former president Olusegun Obasanjo. He was reappointed by the then acting president Jonathan on March 8 last year and resigned six months later on September 10, 2010. He was replaced by the current NSA, retired General Andrew Azazi, a close ally of President Goodluck Jonathan.

A security source told Daily Trust that the United States and other Western nations have been putting pressure on Jonathan to find lasting solutions to the violent crises in the country, particularly the Boko Haram issue. The source said the West wants Gusau reappointed, because they believe he is capable of tackling the crises.

The US and other Western powers became more interested in the Boko Haram issue following the audacious bombing of the United Nations office in Abuja last month, in which 23 people were killed, which the sect claimed responsibility for.

Last week, commander of the US African Command, General Carter F. Ham, said three violent extremist organizations on the continent, among them Boko Haram, were trying to forge an alliance to coordinate attacks on the United States and Western interests. The other two groups are the Al-Shabab in Somalia and the Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

General Aliyu Gusau is considered an astute intelligence operative with strong links across the global intelligence community.

He featured in many of the leaked US diplomatic cables recently released by Wikileaks, discussing intelligence and political issues.

In one the cables, Gusau told the Americans he was being considered to replace Alhaji Umaru Yar’adua as the PDP presidential flagbearer in early 2007 because of Yar’adua’s illness.

In another cable, he was quoted as saying that the then president Obasanjo was bent on staying in office for a third term and was plotting to precipitate national crisis to achieve that.

Sources said General Gusau was still chewing an offer made to him to return as NSA, but that the veteran spy chief appeared not keen at having another stint in government.

If General Gusau returns as security adviser, it would be his fourth time, having also served in the same capacity during the regime of military president Ibrahim Babangida.

Born on May 18, 1943 in Gusau, Zamfara State, Gusau was Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) in 1979-1983; Director of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) and Acting Director-General of the Nigeria Security Organisation (the forbear of the SSS) in 1985-1986; and Coordinator on National Security from 1986 to 1989.

He was General Officer Commanding 2 Mechanised Division, Ibadan (1989 - 1990); Chief of Administration, Defence Headquarters, Lagos (1990 to 1992); and Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, from 1992 to 1993. He became National Security in January 1993, and was promoted to Chief of Army Staff when Babangida left in August 1993. He was retired from the military later in the same year by General Sani Abacha.

Politics / Presidential Poll Petition: New Panel ‘reverses’ Salami’s Order by zeennurei(m): 8:10am On Sep 07, 2011
Written by Adelanwa Bamgboye Wednesday, 07 September 2011 00:00

The newly reconstituted Presidential election tribunal yesterday said the order granted the Congress for Progressive Change to inspect election materials did not mean that the party could make copies of those items, effectively reversing the ruling earlier given by suspended president of the Court of Appeal Justice Isa Ayo Salami.
Delivering the ruling in Abuja, the new head of the tribunal, Justice Mohammed Garba, said CPC interpreted the May 24 order of the court wrongly. He also dismissed CPC’s application asking the panel to enter judgment in its favour on the basis of the denial of the election materials by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

On May 24, the tribunal, then headed by Salami, issued orders among them an order directing INEC “to produce for the inspection of the applicant (CPC) and permitting the applicant to take copies of the documents/materials/ballot papers” used in the presidential election.

But the CPC later filed an application seeking the tribunal to enter judgment in its favor over alleged refusal by the INEC to grant it access to the electoral materials as ordered.

But Justice Garba yesterday held that the order of granting of access to the election sensitive materials did not cover an attempt by the CPC to take them away from the commission.

“The order that we made is just to allow the petitioner see, evaluate the materials in the premises of the commission; it was not a fiat for the petitioner to take them away.

“Having listened to the arguments of all parties on this application, we become convinced that the petitioner is praying for an over indulgence; justice is blind, so this application is dismissed for lack of merit,” he said.

The CPC, which is challenging the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan at the April 16 presidential election, listed INEC and the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) among the defendants.

The CPC application for judgement to be entered in its favour was pending before the tribunal when Salami was suspended by the National Judicial Council (NJC) and a new panel was later reconstituted.

In a ruling which lasted for about 45 minutes yesterday, Justice Garba held that the order of May 24 which directed INEC to grant CPC access to bio-metric data does not mean “taking” copies but just to see it. He therefore resolved the first issue against the petitioner.

On the second issue of entering judgment in favor of the CPC, the tribunal held that judgment could not be entered in default without hearing the evidence in the matter.

“This court must hear the matter on its merit; I therefore resolved the second issue against the petitioner. In the light of the above, petitioner’s application lacks merit and it is hereby dismissed, I make no order as to cost,” Justice Garba said.

The four-member panel adjourned till today, to allow for reports on the pre-hearing session from counsel to the parties.

But in a reaction, the CPC yesterday said that the ruling was at variance with the earlier order by the tribunal granting it access to election materials.

Spokesman for CPC Rotimi Fashakin said the ruling has further exacerbated the feelings of angst from the citizenry regarding the crisis in the judiciary.

He said that the ruling has also left many questions unanswered: “Is it possible for the petitioner to reinforce its petition in the court without submitting copies of the anomalies (if any) discovered in the course of its inspection? Was the Court’s ruling of 6th September, 2011 not contradictory to the unambiguous order of 24thMay, 2011?, Can an inspection be done without the follow up action of taking copies for more perspicacious analysis of ascertaining valid votes?”

Politics / Re: Buhari Broke Into Tears by zeennurei(m): 8:08am On Apr 14, 2011
Buhari said the 2011 campaign is doubly significant for him. “First, because it is an election in which more clearly and more unambiguously than in 2003 and 2007, our victory is assured as evidenced by the unprecedented turnout by people and spontaneous popular acclaim all over the country.”

“This campaign is the third and last one for me since after it I will not present myself again for election into the office of the president,” Buhari said.

While commending voters for coming in mass to vote last Saturday, the CPC presidential candidate said it was not good enough, “You must maintain your presence during the counting and collation of votes and announcements of result. Because you haven’t done this in all cases, they have already started turning your victories into defeats.

The mood at the meeting hall at the International Conference Centre in Abuja however changed when Buhari narrated his encounter with Nigerians on the campaign train.

“My tour has showed me the enormity of the problems facing our people that need urgent and clinical solution if the country is not to collapse before our very eyes. This is the horrific reality of life in our country today,” he lamented. cry cry cry cry cry
