1. Bank transfer.
2. Debit card.

You've given me renewed confidence in the app. I had a shaky start with them but I'll give it another shot. Personally, I hate going to banks.

The only situation where you can be served well by your bank is if you always go for their bid. Before I ported, GTB was so mean to the extent that nobody will respond to my enquiry even if my rate is below CBN rate. This is because, Bank made little or no money from TB. However, after a failed bid, you will have yo wait for another 14 days. This was what I experienced for two months with no explanation nor call from my bank.

One day, I stumble upon I-Invest and I did a diligent research for three hours on it. I found it genuine cos their rates are at par with CBN. With I invest, rates are seen with their tenures. No failure in bidding, the only disadvantage is that your yield is not paid upfront cos that is how they make money which I am comfortable with.

I have been using the app and it is excellent.

Does anybody know how this I-invest app arrives at these extremely good discount rates? I suspect its using True yield for those percentages.

From my experience so far with the app, it lools like a total waste of valuable time. After failure on multiple attempts to fund the wallet via internet banking and debit card, I was advised to use their Direct transfer option.
On successful transfer to the account stated, the wallet has still not been funded even after receiving confirmation from one of their customer care reps that the money has been received by them...After almost a whole working day. I do hope when its time to withdraw, it won't be another story that touches.

I'll just respect myself and walk to a bank to do Tbills because its obvious they are far from ready for massive deployment.

Once you fill the necessary updates,you will be required to update your KYC details viz a viz BVN,Government id card,utility which you upload to them .Once they are verified .You can withdraw your money to any of your account that is linked to your BVN

How long does this verification usually take after upload?

Thanks @mank1234 @Dam5reey @GeorgeD1 we agree but the issue is that in the morning the sun is on the other side so I just choose one of the sides not knowing that I won't be getting any wattage in the afternoon.

@zellfoxx am not in Lagos, am in Ado-Ekiti by 0⁰ does it mean my roof can achieve an optimal harvest from sun rise to sun set and will need to setup a standalone?

Standalone setup would be your best option. This is extra cost though as your roof pitch will not allow you reap the benefits of roof-mounted solar panels. At least you'll have longer duration for daily harvest. I also don't think getting adjustable roof-mounts will solve the issue.

Secondly, you need more panels in that string. So you can enjoy that your inverter. If you can hit 250V input at least, it'll save you alot of headache.

From this your pic, practically no solar radiation is hitting the panels at this time. And its obvious your panel tilt angle is waaaay below optimum. If you are in Lagos, I believe placing them with O° tilt would be best all year round.

Another factor you may have overlooked is one basic principle with long strings. Once there is partial shading on just a single panel in the string, whether via cloud cover or anything else, it drops the voltage of that string to a multiple of the lowest value recorded by that panel. Hence, you are evidently getting the least possible voltage value from the string, even before it gets to your inbuilt mppt cc. That's one reason for avoiding long single strings though.

I've heard people asking for close to 400k sometimes to do a survey in Lagos. I believe its pure extortion.

Meanwhile, to our supply experts. Are 8ft security doors available in the market? And I discovered wooden-finish internal doors are making big waves these days. Are they also available in 8ft height?

Have you tried resetting it to default and putting a load on it? Since no fault or warning codes, it might work.

Got back home and it's still the same thing, no charge from PV! Wew, strange that a CC with over 120v still cannot start-up. My people any idea on what else I should look into, could this be a faulty panel or a problem with the connection itself?

I feel your pain. Same experience here. I've seen price gaps as wide as 5 to 10k on a single solar panel from some marketers (names withheld). Like you said, its not by force to buy from them. I believe only those that are not truely DIYers will just jump in buy at any price thrown at them.

In all, this advert frenzy is getting totally out of hand. So my small advice to us is to continue to do our own research on what, where, and how much we are willing to pay for our solar. If they like, let them put HA02 for 35k, we know road to Aliexpress.

Lol Another painful thing is the prices of these items. At least one seller is trying but come on, hw can prices of the same must power from different sellers have that huge difference as if one is supplying the other then I won't even talk about gennex inverters comparing prices here with the price list the company representative sent me I feel sad, huge price difference well its not by force to buy.
Meanwhile I think these sellers should cut the huge list into chunks per page. Maybe one page for inverters then add batteries and solar panels also available. Then nxt page batteries

Thank you for the answer. I think Zinox was being lazy. Voltronics power had a serious quality control issues with the Axpert 5 kva units. They failed after so many cycles. There is a video on YouTube that gets into it. They corrected the issue after 2016 or 17 I was told, An Iron heats up for 30 seconds and then stops and can go for another minute before the heating element comes on again for a shorter period. I can't see how that would stress your inverter but wetin I sabi. We used a microwave on the 3 kva Axpert (a big microwave), the inverter died because of a short circuit in the house wiring. The bare wires touched the chassis of the inverter after a Kazeem electrician had done work. It lasted over 2 years with Microwave use. My experiences are a bit different. Does not make me right or you wrong. I hope we are all learning from the experience and the information that we share.

Yes, everything is all nice and good in "pass through" mode until the inverter switches to battery mode.

I understand the neutrals are bonded in "pass through" mode, but broken in battery mode. Thus leading to floating neutral issues.

In my installation, I simply looped both neutrals. I'm no electrician, but I've been told this "solution" is not very safe.

Seems what I originally thought was a flaw is actually meant to prevent this unsafe loop on Neutral busbar.

After much thought and research today, I now see the reason for this is to enable compulsory Neutral 'bypass mode' on the CSW with the AC switchgear to maintain the N-E bond at utility grid instead of the 'pass through mode' practiced by many which cuts this bond.

On checking the manual for the split phase model, I found this page ( missing in the single phase manual ) that shed abit more light on the N-E bond.

PS: Because of our sub-par maintenance culture in this part of the globe, one can't rely on the N-E bond at our transformers to be really up to the task all the time. So its probably better to have it at one's Distribution panel at home...to prevent Floating neutral issues.

Thought as much. This is a split phase model. Have no experience with this though. Perhaps our in-house gurus can enlighten you more on how to go about wiring this.
But from the little I do know, you'll need a 120VAC single phase input(L1-N) or the 120/240VAC(L1-N-L2) as AC input from the utility grid use.

Yes. There's no L1 and L2. Just L.
Looks like yours is a split phase model which i believe is supposed to supply just 120VAC if you wire just one leg (L1 in your case) input and output with neutral.

Does anyone have personal experience installing the Schneider conext sw 4048 inverter. Was going through the AC wiring diagram in the manual and discovered there is no AC input neutral. I purchased the pre-wired AC switchgear (which omitted the AC input neutral line in the pre-installed wiring).

Is the SW4048 neutral bonded to ground inside the inverter?

Just to disillusion you on the nameplate vs actual values, I once rush ordered a set of 250W panels to expand and match my existing 240W panels up on the mount. Lo and behold, I was sold the exact same panels as I previously had as 250W panels. The 240W readings were a perfect match to their nameplates whereas the 250W panels read nothing like their nameplate and read exactly as the 240W ones. The figures on the 250W panels didn't even make sense.

It could be you had a mismatch from the outset with sustained reverse current burning your diode and cable.
