There are so many of us in that same shoe, it simply means the application won't be decided at the original time frame, and that doesn't mean it will be rejected either. Just pray the decision comes out soonest ukapplicant: Hello good people of nairaland, my sister applied for standard and it's 25 working days but no visa only to receive this mail today please who got similar mail from ukvi and what happened next? Go to the bank, ask for requirements, they will advise you on what to bring... That should do Ehimanuel: I have been having some difficulties with paying my deposit which is £3500. First Bank is declining my transaction. I was told to open a domiciliary acct. This domiciliary thing is delaying me. I am still searching for a current account holder who's not using it for salary, to stand in as a second referee.
Does anyone here have a similar experience and how did you resolve yours? |

Wow, your testimony has given me hope, because we did our biometrics same day, same TLS Ikeja, got the the non straight forward mail a day after yours, that means possibly tomorrow we'll get ours as well... I really advice anyone applying to avoid standard if you don't want high bp Hallylim: Alhamdulilahi Robbil’alamin. I’ve begged God so much to give me the grace n opportunity to be able to type this.
Visa alert! Visa alert!! Visa alert!!! Family of 3 I see this visa as a miracle. Application 12/08/2021 Biometrics 13/08/2021 Non straightforward mail 31st/08/2021
Then different negative thoughts started ringing in our heads. Issues we had; •mistake in my baby’s consent letter (could be seen as minor) •hubby was refused in US and two other countries but we tot declaring only one was sufficient and we declared only US.
Those 4 weeks and 4 days we waited for seemed like forever. Waking up with sadness mixed with headache, anxiety, high BP, fear and all sort. But we really prayed, my mum over prayed. Alhamdulilah it’s all joy now. In fact, it was the non straight forward mail that led me to nairaland because I just needed to mix with pple who can understand me. I mailed a number of pple privately here, all due to my fear. Standard application is indeed something to stay clear of! I pray other waiting applicants get their visas with joy, aameen. |

In case they want to make some verifications or a required document not being available. For my own case, my wife was supposed to be exempt from TB test as we haven't been in Nigeria for the past 6 months, so they requested evidence of the exempt in a different mail and also sent each of us the "non straightforward" mail stating that our visa won't come out at the expected 15 working days but will still as soon as a decision is made Mizmotun: Whats the meaning of no non straightforward email |

Politics › Re: Agitation For Restructuring And Federalism (the Nigerian Youths) by Zenanted(op): 7:30am On Jul 19, 2017 |
Almaheed: I believe restructuring means a lot of things to different people across boards, but the Paramount thing I would envisage is an halt to the Nigerian government and governance like a two weeks retreat where every Nigerian would come out and lay his or her own problems. the rot is systemic that is why we need a very strong agitation to make Nigeria great again That's the main purpose of the thread... How do we actualize that? |

Myself2: Booked LOL .As commendable as your move is,I doubt if most members of nairaland will have anything constructive to suggest. Over 70% of them don't even understand how politics works, how a nation is built, the few that understand are too blinded and blighted by ethnic and religious jingoism to give any meaningful suggestions It's not hopeless though,so I'm following We just need the few to achieve our purpose, people like you and I can do it.... so i don't mind waiting because we ain't in a hurry |
