zaragal:u didn't see where the op kept emphasizing that the list is not in any particular order ![]() |
ideykwum:now there is no such thing as context? Ok I hear u |
ideykwum:hmmmm, so did the igbos consider these ur "contextual" meanings b4 they started throwing their tantrum at the Oba of lagos while the ndigbo chiefs present at the meeting wt the Oba where laughing and applauding him?? |
Professor Wole Soyinka has released a statement denying reports that he trashed the Igbos during his lecture at Harvard University last week. Soyinka was quoted to have said 'the Igbos voted based on their stomach and suffer from incurable money mindedness'. The Nobel Laureate says he never made a statement like that and anyone who believes he did is a m.oron His statement below... "I have just read a statement attributed to me on something called The Cable, a news outlet, evidently one of the Internet infestations. My lecture at the Hutchins Centre, Harvard University, was video recorded. Anyone who believes what I am alleged to have said must be a m.oron – repeat, a m.oron. It is demeaning, sickening and boring to have to deal with these cowards who cannot fight their own battles but must fasten their imbecilic pronouncements on others. Only the mentally retarded will credit this comment attributed to me regarding the Ndigbo voting pattern in the last elections. I strongly suspect the author of this despicable concoction, and may make a further statement, once the source is verified.” the statement read |

LEXYCOM:lol...joker! |
LEXYCOM:bind ur Middle East slave mentally first !!! |
Oildichotomy:ur submission would remain nonsensical until I read ur opinion on the Middle East mythology |
seunfly:ur assertion shows u REALY do not understand the yoruba tradition and spirituality. Esu isn't in anyway thesame as satan. Mythology or reality , they are different entity |
CHM11:the most sensible write up have read on any forum in the last 2yrs!!! |
Crispels:oh I see . So u referred me to a website where a student posted his or her own opinion . U very funny |
Crispels:I just searched the internet and there is no such thing as lasu bein one of the top 10 med school in Nigeria . Kindly post the address of the site where u found this ur bare face lie. How on earth could a university whose medical residency training has been suspended for over 3yrs for political reasons be one of the 1st ten in ngr. If indeed there is lasu amongst top 10 , then medical training is finish in that country . By d way, it's google not goggle !!! |
Crispels:LASU amongst the top 10 uni in Nigeria to study medicine ? U definitely joking on that one! Presently fashola govt has killed medical education in lagos because of some personal vandetta he and his boss have always had wt the drs . Where was fashola when col marwa started medical school in lagos?? Go to lasuth and see the decay for urself. 1st ten ko, 1st ten ni |
kettykin:Enugu "age mate" wt IBADAN ? Pls do u mind elaborating ? |
@queensmith, pls do explain to me y this no work and no pay thing seem to have only been applied to d lag drs but never to d judiciary workers Again , is there no law in Nigeria that stipulates how long govt could employ workers as casual staffs b4 compulsorily regularising d said casual employment Also we learnt that d governor refused to meet wt the NATIONAL president of the NMA who flew into lagos from abj wt a view to averting d dr strike. My question is if fashola"s father was lyin critically Ill in a lagos hospital at the time do u think he still would Hv declined meetin wt d drs?? |
@queensmith, |
yetseyi:i hear u @ " the governor realy has nothing to do with this" so u mean it is the VC that is withholding the LASU worker"s unpaid arrears abi...SMH |
Dee60:is it only the LASU brand? Even the LASUTH brand has dimmished far more. Imagine a state governor refusing to meet d NMA national president that flew in from Abuja to see him in order to avert the planned drs strike and he declined meetin wt him. If fashola"s father was lyin critically ill in a lagos hospital would he have declined meetin wt the doctors. This there ways of settling personal vendetta plus there ego would gradualy lead to APC downfall in lagos if care is not taken |
@ op the title should ideally read "the richest woman in the world" that's what funke alakija is. She beat Oprah to that long time ago |
chrisbaba1:she is of yoruba heritage not Hausa .(doesn't matter tho , d main thin is she has a nigerian blood in her) Check her family youtube videos |
Redoil:who is sick? Is it d LASG that is employing medical drs as casual staffs for over 4yrs now, suspended residency training for over 3yrs all in some ego drivin trip? Or is it the drs that Hv over the last 6mth sought d intervention of both political and medical elders in lagos without any positive response from govt. ?? |
Samgreguc:when they are merged. The ones that are "industrially relevant " would face it's relevance rather than seekin unecessary relevance where there REALY exist non. The plain advantage of combining this councils is that excesses and conflicting directives given by these individual councils will be checked. Imagin MLSCN last year sent directives to each nigerian university to open a faculty for MLS without regard for NUC!!! Isn't that preposterous ? |
Waow!!! What an interesting topic and intelligent discourse. Thank you all I will continue following the conversation |

Health workers under the aegis of the Joint Health Sector Union at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi- Araba, protested against delay in the implementation of their agreement with the Federal Government on Tuesday. The health workers began chanting several songs on the hospital’s premises while carrying placards with inscriptions such as, ‘FG save the health sector from collapse,’ ‘FG must implement its agreements.’ The aggrieved workers who were mostly nurses, pharmacists, record officers and laboratory scientists accused the Federal Government of not prioritising their needs due to the upcoming February elections in the country. According to the Chairman, LUTH Chapter of the National Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists, Mr. Adefemi Adegoke, the Federal Government has not met with JOHESU this year for a dialogue. Adegoke said, “The last meeting JOHESU had with the Federal Government was on December 7, and they asked for two weeks for them to generate circulars to the appropriate agencies to ensure that the agreements are implemented. “Till now, we have not heard from them. We know the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, is campaigning ahead of the elections, but government must know that lives that are being lost in public hospitals each day due to the two months of the strike are more important than votes.” Speaking on behalf of the nurses, the Chairman, LUTH Chapter of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Mr. Olugbenga Ajala, warned that if labour disputes, which has led to the breakdown of health services in about 50 federal health institutions in the country are not addressed, the Federal Government may meet a collapsed sector after the February elections. Ajala said, “We are asking that they promote our members who have been stagnated for 14 years on a level. We are asking that health workers wage structure be reviewed. We cannot be rubbished by any group in this sector because we form more than 70 per cent of the workforce in the health sector. “We are asking that the Federal Government address needless deaths in its hospitals and put an end to this strike before the elections.” Members of JOHESU embarked on an indefinite strike on October 16 to protest against the non-implementation of collective bargain agreement and Memorandum of Understanding between the union and the Federal Government and the non-implementation of the 2010 judgment of National Industrial Court of Nigeria. Other demands include the delay in appointing some of their members as consultants and failure to promote health workers on CONHESS 14 to 15. |
The Enugu State branch of the Joint Health Workers Union of Nigeria (JOHESU), has suspended its two month old strike. The Chairman of the union, Chief Mathias Okonkwo, announced this at the end of its congress in Enugu on Friday. Okonkwo said the suspension followed the outcome of a meeting the leaders of the union held with Gov. Sullivan Chime of Enugu State on Thursday. The chairman said the governor promised to look into the implementation of the consolidated health workers salary structure. He directed all workers to resume work on Monday. Members of the union, including the Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), Comrade Maurice Eze, expressed hope that the government would keep to the agreement. Members of JOHESU include the Nigeria Union of Allied Health Professionals, MHWUN and National Association of Nurses and Midwives Source .http://aitonline.tv/post-johesu_suspends_2_month_old_strike_in_enugu |
Whether Jonathan wins or not the comitee recommendation is likely gona be adopted |
Sctests:ok would not trade insults wt u it's not my thing. The point is that even the excesses of this laboratory council underlies the reason y most of these regulatory bodies should be combined or even outlawed . Bms is an integral part of medicine. Infact it is exactly what makes medicine; it is the foundation. because the forefathers of medicine felt the workload for medicine was enormous hence the birth of this allied health courses. Now u are suggesting that those basic medical science be usurped from medicine and then bcom a part of another faculty hence it would b like a "borrowed" course for medical students!!! Damn. Do u even know u cannot pass a surgical primary exam if u don't know all this BMS courses including what constitute MLS? Durin my residency days u had to refer back to ur BMS else u won't pass .now u jokers want some part of that BMS to either b duplicated or b moved out of college of medicine . Courses that make up MLS is not exclusive to medical lab tech student it is also a part of medicine.,if u give a whole faculty to MLS y not do thesame to anatomy, biochemistry, nursing ?? I am done exchanging text wt u . Enjoy the rest of the day am out of here! |
Sctests:lol....so we should Hv a whole faculty just for MLS ![]() ? Go to that university of Minnesota that u cited and go and complete ur studies there.....joker!!! |
Sctests:isnt it the same yayale commitee findings u lots where clamourin for??Now that what's obtained in sane climes Hv been thrown at u by that same commitee, you are here formulating a conspiracy theory of ur own....continue in ur delusion!!! |
, dis is thrash
