Jimatex: Rich people fear wen sleepingWhich do you prefere? Securing yourself as a rich man and sleeping unsecured as a poor man. No other option! |
skydeep: And how about those that were poor before they became rich. How do they think? As was written in this post! |
omodapson: @poster, what do you mean by 'ordinary' ppl? I think that word is demeaning. Let me ask, are you rich? If not, it would be right for me to call you ordinary? The poor and the average earners equals= ordinary! Savvy? No rephrasal please. |
AjanleKoko: I think it's bullshyte.See? That, ladies and gentle men, is how the poor thinks. |
Yes! It is. |
passionate88: imagine business man no fit go callus miller for ph buy brand new bb, na 2nd hand... D guy fall handsPlease re-read the post, it said that 'the phone was made to look new by having all its contents flashed off by the criminals', probably it was sent as a new phone. Nigerian police often cross the line in discharge of their duty, arresting any; who volunteers to give information as witness as though he were a culprit. |
Well, i think this garri guys are making this thread a little bit humorous when the verbal fray becomes somewhat tense, and should be left alone, besides, they obstructs nothing. |
olowo200: Anybody with an idea on how ghana undertook that there revolution that eradicate all there corrupt leadersYes! They did what soludo wanted doing and was asked to quit, decimation of zeros, not coinage of their lower denominations, nor is it increment of note. Nothing more; nothing less. |
Genius100: Guy, stop disgracing yourself on this forum. What you need to compare is the value of the currency not the number on the denomination. A more apt comparison is the Japanese yen. 1 dollar = 75 Japanese Yen and guess what the Japanese had a 10,000 Yen note. And with all your wisdom, you felt that since Japan has ¥10,000 with stabler economics to Nigerian's, that we should imitate them? At times i imagine if some people in Nigeria still possesses a functioning brain. Do tell professor, if Nigerian's Balance of trade, monetary policy and foreign reserve( in all angle) is anywhere near Japan's? With that #5000 note(which is not the most essential issue) plus the coinage of 20-100 naira, Nigeria is going down the drainage; and you with it. |
Godogwu: Even illeterates will be yarning dust here....I'm sure the FG and Sanusi have weighed the positive and the negative effects of the introduction of the note, some Nigerians always want to complain. SheeshAs they(FG: under OBJ) have weighed the benefit of Nigerians from fuel-price increment and some Nigerians complained, right? Agatu. |
ifeci: Where were you when Soludo introduced one naira coins? do we need to remind you that the prices of almost everything that was one naira became 5naira; including pure water and chewing gum! you were probably a toddler then. You said what! Soludo introduced one naira coins? Transformed or introduced? Special announcement please!!! If you know that you are not a Nigerian or you are, but have spent most of your time living abroad, you should leave this forum with immediate effect! >@Ifeci, You first! |
hajj imam: It has been said by a great musician earlier b4 now,MR FUJI that when ever an Igbo man get to ASO ROCK he will surely turn naija to business center.GOD bless naija.Goat meat, who is the Igbo man. Must you drop a comment? The battle field seem to have overwhelmed you. Ezi Bida |
401kk: This is absolute nonsense. I actually can't believe that NOI endorsed this new programme. As a world bank executive, she is supposed to know that this decision will harm the economy. I'm highly embarrased. If you don't know where to heap your grievances, go to bed then. Since when did Ngozi become the president whose endorsement is imperative to progression of that nonsense act. Policy dictates that she act as though she were in support even if she is not. Blame Sanusi and GEJ!;> |
Genius100: Look at this moronic intellectual midget. I've lived virtually all my life in the US and you are telling me $50 and $100 are very rare. You are incredibly daft. You belong in the zoo, as I'm sure even a silverback monkey has a higher IQ than you. What an ignoramus. So i was even argueing with a half baked Nigerian? How on earth would you compare Nigerian system with U.S'? Theoretical slowpoke. |
Genius100: Dude, stop being ignorant. Everybody in the USA use $100 bills, which is equivalent to N16,000. Ghana uses a 50 cedi bill which is equivalent to about N7500. What are you on about? If you ignorant about something, at least ne honest enough to know and say you are ignorant. Please show us the study that links higher notes to inflation..Mr. Know it all, how is what he said in line with your ignorant answer? Let america start using $5000 bill and turn $100 bill 50, 20, 10 and 5 dollar bills to coins and see where their currency value will find itself before other currencies. When Prof. Soludo introduced the reduction of two zeros what did Nigerians do? Now you are ignorantly, and shamelessly so, before the whole viewers here, defending nonesense. Mcheeew. Bunch of illiterates. |
taharqa: My friend with due respect, you are just ranting. Where is the DATA suggsting that "With higher denominations comes inflation" or ny of the other things you claimed above? Stop doing "Street talk" plzMr. Questionnaire, why don't you provide a persuassive DATA to prove that Nigerian system will not be difference from that of American's. And, since Nigeria started imitating other counries policies, how many of them have they done right? Is it presidential system of govt, Hhu? Start thinking, and stop living in illusory land, that is why our graduates are jobless, the vision of what they read in theory about western world, and about how thing should be, is not how it is in Nigeria, and not how it is in reality. It's about time you went to bed, if you have nothing left to offer.:@ |
taharqa: 3 Pages and not single person have put forward a single ECONOMIC reason why this is a bad move. You keep hearing abut the introduction causing inflation yet no DATA is presented to shore up the argument; in fact, the DATA both here in Nigeria and in more advanced Economies, show little or no correlation between Inflation and Currency Denomination. Most of the arguments(if you can actually call the opposition an argument) against the policy are just anti-intellectual- just unbridled expressions of EMOTION and FEAR, Period. Imagine some persons "arguing" that the introduction of #5, #10, #20 coins would mean that products sold for say #10 would sell for #50 cos "Nigerians do not like coins"(that the present notes and the proposed coins would run side-by-side till the transition is effected is lost on them ). We also have some persons "arguing" that products/services presently going for say #4500 would be rounded up to #5000 as there are no items selling for #9400, #460 and #60 presently.Young man, take a deep breath, walk into the bathroom, take a warm shower and then, finally, GO TO BED! You are making no sense at all. And tomorrow go and see your physician for 'mental myopia', okay?:@ |
obailala: Please, can someone be kind enough to explain to me why/how the N5000 note will destroy our economy/nation?? If the words of CBN are anything to go by, the new N5000 notes will not necessarily be in circulation; just like in the US where they have the $1000 and $10,000 bills (which are however not in circulation)Prof. Obai. Can you kindly explain to this honourable house what the said $1,000 & $10,000 is doing if it is not in circulation, then, elaborate on how Naira will serve same purpose. If you can't kindly take a bow and leave, okay? Now proceed.;> |
savcy: There are pple in Anambra who are living in a lot more deplorable state than what is obtainable in Haiti Mr. Obi,focus on them and lv Haiti alone. They hav more than enuf international support. Help ur own people!Just like there are a lot more wreched people from T. B Joshua's village. And from america, while Bill Gate handed a bulk of his wealth to war/hunger torn Africans. Let us use our brains at times, the fact that we have a tongue without metre and a free air, doesn't give us the audacity to unbar our oral cavity carelessly. |
Billyonaire: I HATE COINS !!!Think again. |
Dis Guy: so these FG are also imcopetent like SLS? how can world renowned economist like Ngozi and Aig agree to this?Sanusi should be hold responsible not Ngozi, Ngozi is nothing more than a minister and an adviser, and a person can choose to ignore an advice given to him/her. Anything that ensued from this move, whether good/bad, should be credited,as long as Nigeria lasts, to Sanusi and Goodluck. |
Hahahahaha.... our repulsive feeling about coins will force the price of goods and services to soar beyond redemption(inflation), well, Nigerians got what they wanted, did not Prof. Soludo wanted to decimate two zeros to highten the value of naira, internationally, and every unreasonable fool in this country were calling for his removal. At least, Nigerians has gotten what they prefered. Its not that bad, so to speak, because Zimbabwe once had Z$100billion note, which keeps us at the safer side of hyper-inflation. |
skerries: What a nonsense this is absurd and stupidity of highest order. How could such donation be justified when our people are picking crumbs, that is two face hypocrites.Which of your people are picking crumbs, i mean, can you name them? |
Stature: tall, straight legs, slightly huge, attractive, and moderate front and back accessories. Complexion: fair. Character: quiet, resilient, smart, introvertial, laconic, a little frigid, graceful, courageous and an optimist. Dressing: simple, modest, elegant and eye-catching. ![]() |
Because they failed to engage themselves to something productive while studying, hoping that govt will provide which is irrational in regards the economic situation in the country. I have said this time without number that what every reasonable Nigerian should learn is 'Igbocracy'(no sentiments please) which i defines as 'an economic system in which individuals engage themselves in progressive activities, regardless of the Government support'(which rarely comes). |
