REDshouse: The diesel never reduce.. The price was technically increased to around 1700 few months to dangote supply ... Don't be fooled ..they know what they are doing ... The fuel price around the world is around 1200 per litte unsubsidized.. now they have created technical scarcity to jerk up fuel price to 900 to 1000 per litre ... When dangote start producing fuel it will now drop to 600 and everyone will be happy that fuel Drop to 600 because of dangote .... Who are the they you are talking about please? Is it the Nnpc cabal that doesn't want the dangote or any local refinery to work? Please I don't understand you. As far as the evidence in the public space is concerned, there are people who want to continue importation for their selfish aim. Dangote is complaining bitterly and here you are insinuating Dangote is in cohort with them |
Politics › Re: Oil Companies Projected To Supply Dangote Refinery, Others 597,700 BPD Of Crude by zikter(m): 7:07am On Aug 13, 2024 |
Max24: You seem not to understand the concept of interest. Dangote and Tinubu don't have the same interest when it comes to fuel. While Tinubu might not be a saint he has the political obligation to control the price of fuel or else he would be put under pressure by the masses like some tried to do with the protest. Dangote on the other hand as a full-fledged capitalist has no such obligation to consider the masses. His interest is maximum profit possible and I don't blame him. And don't be deceived by the seeming public fight between Dangote and Bua about prices. It might all be a ruse. Do you know what they call cabal in business and their theatrics? Nigerians need to be smarter than this. Are you 100% sure that Dangote and BUA are not working hand in glove ? Are they not both northerners? Dey play ! For me, I voted Tinubu to control the price of cement and fuel. If Dangote can maintain current fuel prices I don't have problem with him. But I doubt he will. I would be shocked if he doesn't double or triple prices in few years time if given a free hand to control Nigerias fuel. The way they handled cement, a commodity that is 80% sourced in Nigeria, is still fresh in my mind Please which local commodity that is 100% locally sourced did not double or triple in price during Tinubu regime? How much was a bag of rice, a tuber of yam etc prior to Tinubu administration? I am never convinced about monopoly shouts from different quarters. Your analysis between Bus and Dangote remains another conspiracy theory at best. I mentioned the cost of energy as a key drive to products cost. I work in manufacturing too. When Tinubu floated the naira and the exchange rate increase, the cost of diesel went further up. It means, if a truct was transporting cement to a location at 50k before, it now 80k or more. So why should the price of cement for example, not go up. The beverage I produce is more than double the initial price. Is Dangote or Bua or the northernals as you are trying to portray them, producing Coke, fanta or pepsi? Have the prices of those not more than double during Tinubu time. Why are you not calling those companies out like you do Dangote? Look, we are running a free market economy, anyone is free to set up companies and set their prices, then compete for the market. Dangote was producing noodles before, did he survive the market? He ended up selling that line to indomie who are the market leaders. Did anyone accuse indomie of monopoly? No, then why? We all know that, there are politicians who don't want the status quo to change in the oil sector. Tell me why they are insistent on importation of fuel when we now have the capacity to refine it locally? In this very report, it was mentioned that, 8 refineries are ready to work, Dangote has only one out of the eight. So, where is the so much voiced monopoly? At least the Benin refinery cried out this week about crude shortage too. By the way, you said Tinubu job is to control prices, kindly tell him hid policies are rather killing us with high prices. He is not doing his job |
Politics › Re: Oil Companies Projected To Supply Dangote Refinery, Others 597,700 BPD Of Crude by zikter(m): 8:57pm On Aug 12, 2024 |
Max24: I don't trust Dangote to favour the masses. His foray into cement is a point of reference. I won't be surprised if fuel doubles by the time Dangote is given a giant share of the market. How much is cement now ? Please, how much are other cements prices compared to Dangote cement? Why are the others not cheap? I need education on this please. There are many variables that drive production cost, chief among them is energy. When your government took the dollar sky high and the cost of diesel doubled, what do you think will happen? Most time people unfairly target Dangote. At least he is not the only one in that market. What happened to all the noise Bua made about cement price reduction months ago,? It is simply not feasible. At least, Dangote is investing in Nigeria and creating employment. How many of the people in government including Tinubu have invested here? People will just be shouting Dangote monopoly. Why don't you build a refinery yourself? |
Politics › Re: Oil Companies Projected To Supply Dangote Refinery, Others 597,700 BPD Of Crude by zikter(m): 8:42pm On Aug 12, 2024 |
REDshouse: Even if they supply dangote all needed crude for his refinery it will never reduce the price of fuel ... Ask dangote cement and flour ... No matter what it will always go higher after monopolizing the market ... I won't cry for any dangote ... Let him hustle his way out ... We know that, Dangote entered the diesel market and the price reduced. Please, you can also build a refinery to break the so called Dangote monopoly. After all, this same reports states that, 8 refineries are ready to start. Do they all belong to Dangote? In the cement market, why is Bua or Larfage not selling cement to us at 2,000 naira? Is Dangote the one setting the price for them? Let them sell it at that price and let's see if Dangote can still be in the market. The word MONOPOLY is indeed abused in Nigeria |

Chinjo2: The bible never condemn drinking of alcohol. It only condemn drunkenness. St paul advised Timothy to take a little wine. Secondly Jesus turned water into wine. Though it was not recorded if the wine was alcoholic or non alcoholic but common sense will tell you that what are usually served at ceremonies at that time were fermented grape juice which translates to alcohol.
You can choose not to drink because of personal reason but don't be enslave by what your pastor says about alcohol. Professionally, once you say wine, it automatically implies presence of alcohol. Fruit wine or whatever does not really exist in the sense of it. They are supposed to be called fruit drinks |

bonechamberlain:

Israel is not the only country in the world, it is a rascal, lawless and anarchical behaviour for Israel to bomb a consulate. They have virtually broken all laws known to have kept the modern world far away from anarchy and strife.
it's time for the U.S to hands off and allow Israel be taught a lesson.
The major reason why the U.S have no choice than to assist Israel is to prevent Israel from using nukes and to have a democracy/reliable based in the middle east. Conventionally Israel would be levelled in less than a month fighting Iran, rather than them loosing they would take the nuclear route, hence the reason for the constant U.S interference.
Modified: One thing very common with Nigerians especially some so called commenters here on Naira land is hypocrisy and ignorance. Some people still believe that Russia is fighting Ukraine, or cannot defeat Ukraine. They don't understand international politics, war strategies and the actions and motives of certain international actors and situations.
To the Israeli issue, no country in the world has broken international Law uncountable number of times deliberately and overtly like Israel not even North Korea.
You speak against the lawless behaviour of Nigerian politicians but support the ultra lawless behaviour of Israel in the international system due to sentiments such as religion, God forbid!! I would be that type of person. The same people shout and complain about how Nigerians are gullible to religious ideas but support a government virtually promoting anarchy in the world due to same religiosity they complain about.
After watching a video where a former CIA personnel stated that Israel is neither Americas friend nor ally and how most wars America has been fighting especially in the middle east was orchestrated by the Israeli regime and it's allies and lobby groups in Washington. I was happy that Americans are waking up.
In 2006 Israel could not defeat Hezbollah backed by a sanctioned Iran in Lebanon, but some experts believe that Israel would defeat Iran conventionally without the interference of America. This thin pain you very well. Sorry. But why will the generals be hiding in an embassy building to plan attacks against Israel? They made that building a command and control center, therefore it became a legitimate target. In any case, Iran says it will revenge. So don't over vex. Is not as if Iran who is sponsoring terrorist organizations in the middle east are saints. |
