LG Electronics (LG) recently announced that its
latest residential air conditioner model, the
Mosquito Away, will be released in Nigeria.
Specifically designed and built for the local
market, the new product incorporates an
impressive function that uses ultrasonic waves to
combat mosquitoes. Like its predecessor, the
successful Anti Mosquito, the Mosquito Away
comes with all the advantages of LG’s advanced
air conditioning technologies, such as powerful
cooling and dependable operation in extreme

“LG’s new Mosquito Away Air Conditioner delivers
true comfort to Nigerian consumers,” said Mr.
Junhwa Jeong, General Manager, Air-conditioning
and Energy Solutions, LG Electronics West Africa
Operations. “It comes with powerful cooling and
extreme durability, this product is more than a
match for the country’s challenging weather
conditions. Better still, it incorporates ultrasonic
wave technology, which effectively repels
mosquitoes. We are confident that the Mosquito
Away air conditioner will meet the needs of
consumers in this important African market.”
Immediately apparent from its name, the
Mosquito Away is designed to aid in the fight
against mosquitoes. In Peety Grady Chamber
tests, the Mosquito Away proved its effectiveness
by knocking down 64 percent of female
Anopheles mosquitoes within 24 hours, and
repelling 82 percent overall. The air conditioner
emits ultrasonic waves that disrupt the
mosquito’s sensory cells and cause paralysis,
confusion and often death. This technology is
completely harmless to humans as it has been
recognized to be clean and safe. The effectiveness
of LG’s product has been certificated by the
University of Ibadan’s College of Medicine, and

I used to be this guy that believed it makes no
sense crying for a movie cos I believe there are
cameramen and other crew member behind the
scene so I jux give this unreal painting to ma
brain so I dnt get moved to the extend of
crying...but yesterday night my defence failed me
when I watched 'WE ARE FAMILY' an Hindi
movie..I tried to give ma self that believe that it's
unreal and cameramen and other crew are at
their back but it still didn't worked, I fought the

Zimbabwe’s Mr Ugly 2012, William Masvinu liked
the title so much, he decided to give the
competition another go this year.
And once again, Masvinu walked away with the
title of the ugliest man in Harare Zimbabwe on
Friday night at the City Sports Bar.
The competition which pits a group of
‘aesthetically challenged’ men against each other
in a contest
to win the title of ‘Mr Ugly Harare’ was first held in
2011 and although it received a lot of criticism at
the time it has since gained more popularity.
This year the participants were reportedly
rewarded with overalls, safety shoes and rain
coat.
The first runner up, Benny Chakanyuka also
received US$100 (N16,000) while the second
runner up Funny Musekiwa walked away with US
$50 (N8000) and groceries.
Along with the crown and prize money, the grand
prize winner also won a year's school fees for one
of his children, a prize his wife was very happy
about.
Speaking to Allafrica.com about the preparation
process he went for the contests, Masvinu said no
preparation was needed because it all came
naturally for him.
"My ugliness comes naturally to me and although
I did a bit to prepare for the show, I let them do
the rest," he was quoted saying.
"A bit of choreography together with his funny
clothing helped him on stage but it was all
minimum effort," his manager, Michael Gundo,
said.

A 40 years old man was arrested for locking up his
girlfriend's pants using a chastity belt for years
just so that she won't cheat on him!
According to CNN, the man's abused, unidentified
25-year-old Mexican girlfriend recently had to tell
cops about the abuse after she was left unable to
go to the bathroom for several hours because she
couldn’t unlatch the padlock on her jeans.
The agonizing pain prompted the woman — who
lives in Zacatlame, a poverty-stricken community
in the Mexican Gulf state of Veracruz — to go to
the police.
She said she was too afraid of her 40-year-old
boyfriend to grab a pair of scissors and cut the
belt loop to which the lock was attached.
The man got arrested and he admitted to locking
his girlfriend's pants and gave cops the key.
Police were ready to make sure he paid for
abusing his girlfriend but were shocked when the
woman refused to press charges once her abusive
boyfriend was detained.
Unable to do anything, the police had to let the
suspect free after a few hours.
The following day however, the suspect was
made to sign a statement promising never again
to use a padlock on his girlfriend or abuse her in
any other way.
