Definitely way lower than that. For example, the sms part, the mobile network would have it's cut per sms(I'm guessing 30% of so). Then you have to factor in other miscellaneous expenses. Where did you even get those figures (expenses) from? Looks quite meager. |

TechyGuy: Can someone tell Apple to stop making 4" screen phones with dual core and 1GB ram?Not everyone likes clutching those '5" display' devices, actually. One of the major reasons I'm turned off by the slew of android phones out there is the screen size. For most users, portability matters a lot. Afterall, it's a mobile device not a tablet. 1 Like |

SMH. stormm: In what seemed like an opportunity-comes-but-once-so-lets-seize-it-and-settle-the-boys-bigtime-kind-of-contract, the Goodluck administration through NIMASA, headed by Ziadeke Akpobolokemi (said to be Tompolo’s candidate for the NIMASA job), awarded a contract worth $103.4million (N15billion) maritime surveillance contract to Tompolo’s company--Global West Vessel Specialist Limited (GWVSL). The contract stated that GWVSL will provide security for oil pipelines, repel pirates and oil thieves, guard the nation waterways and also (wait for this), COLLECT LEVIES ON BEHALF OF NIMASA. The agency said about N124billion is expected to be generated by GWVSL for the federal government.Reading this sort of thing leaves me speechless. After reading a number of posts on this thread, I can see that a lot more people mistake ICT (or would I say software engineering) for computer science. How can one say spending 4 years in the university studying computer science is a waste? Anyways, it will depend largely on the curriculum offered to you by your university. Whilst there are several aspects of computer science you can study on your own, a lot of them will require access to equipment and tools which may not be available to the average individual. 4 Likes 1 Share |
