More delay tactics by Kanu and his legal team. Just more drama to buy more time and engage in a pity party.

Watch as Kanu will disrupt the trial by accusing the judge of one thing or the other in order to delay the trial. We have seen this so many times during this trial as this is the third judge to handle this case due to Kanu and his lawyers legal shenanigans . The clear and obvious plan is to get this judge to excuse himself so that another judge is appointed in order for the case to start again ad nauseum. This has been Kanu's tactics from day one.
This judge has to put his foot down and stop allowing Nnamdi Kanu and his lawyers to make a mockery of the court room by turning the place into a circus.

Nnamdi kanu's order to his private militia led to the killing of thousands of Igbo people, destruction of properties and render million of Igbo people homeless.

There was a dramatic turn of events on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Federal High Court in Abuja, as former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Kanu Agabi (SAN), and other members of the defence team representing detained Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu, formally withdrew from his ongoing terrorism trial.

Kanu, who is facing a seven-count charge bordering on terrorism filed by the Federal Government, appeared in court for the commencement of his defence when Agabi informed the trial judge, Justice James Omotosho, of his decision to withdraw from the case.

Agabi told the court that the legal team would no longer be representing the defendant, explaining that Kanu had chosen to personally take over his defence. In solidarity, all other Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) involved in the matter also announced their withdrawal.

Confirming the development, Kanu addressed the court, stating that he would represent himself for the time being but added that the situation might change later.

Justice Omotosho, in response, asked if the court should assign a counsel to represent him, but Kanu declined the offer.

The embattled IPOB leader, speaking further, contended that the Federal High Court lacked jurisdiction to try him and insisted on proceeding to open his defence personally.

It will be recalled that on October 16, Justice Omotosho granted Kanu six consecutive days, beginning from Thursday, October 23, to open and close his defence under an accelerated hearing process.

Kanu, who is standing trial on a seven-count charge bordering on terrorism filed by the Federal Government, appeared in court on Thursday when Agabi announced his decision to step down as lead counsel.

Agabi informed the court that his withdrawal followed Kanu’s decision to reclaim control of his case, indicating that the IPOB leader would henceforth handle his legal representation differently.

In the same manner, all the Senior Advocates of Nigeria involved in the matter case also announced their withdrawal from the case.

Kanu, confirming the development, told the court that he would be representing himself for now, but noted that the position might change later.

The trial judge, Justice James Omotosho, asked whether he should assign a lawyer to represent him, but the defendant (Kanu) declined.
