FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — A 30-year-old man who was invited to live on a family's property in northeast Florida has been charged with the “brutal" premeditated first-degree murders of their two young sons, ages 12 and 14, officials said Friday.

“I can tell you, I've been working in the criminal justice system since 1980 and these are some of the most brutal murders that I've ever heard of,” State Attorney R.J. Larizza said during a news conference Friday. “He attacked these two kids without mercy."

Putnam County Sheriff H.D. “Gator" DeLoach said Wilson used a knife and a hammer in the attack. Both weapons have been recovered, he said.

Mark Wilson Jr. was arrested on Thursday night, less than 48 hours after the bodies of Robert Baker, 12, and Tayten Baker, 14, were discovered in the home by the mother, said Putnam County Sheriff H.D. “Gator” DeLoach.

The family had moved from Polk County to Melrose, which is south of Jacksonville, 16 days ago to be closer to family, the sheriff said. The Bakers invited Wilson and his girlfriend to live in a shed on their property.

“They did a lot to help them and, unfortunately, it ended in the deaths of Robert and Tayten," the sheriff said.

Wilson has an extensive history of drug and property crimes, but had no previous arrests for violent crimes. Investigators are still working to determine the motive for the killings, DeLoach said, adding that they've already uncovered “significant" evidence in the case.

The boys' mother and a younger sibling weren't injured in the attacks, the sheriff said. Their father is a long-distance truck driver and was not home at the time.

A GoFundMe account set up for the family quickly raised more than $9,000 to help with the boys' funeral expenses.

“Tayten and Robert were good kids who were loved by everyone. They loved playing video games, swimming and hanging out with their family. They had dreams and goals for their life that they will never be able to fulfill," according to the fundraiser page.

Wilson is expected to have a first appearance hearing on Saturday. Court records did not list an attorney for Wilson.

After The Guardian report, Atiku’s company reverses sack of protesting staff

One week after The Guardian reported that staff of Adama Beverages Company producers of bottled water and juices owned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar were sacked for protesting, the dismissal has been reversed.

The reinstated staff are Nuruddeen, Maimuri, Hamman Bello, Idris, Saad and Abdulrazaq.

The protesting workers last week carried placards accused the Indians managing the company for Atiku of molesting Nigerian female workers during working hours and massive sacking of Nigerians replacing them with Indians.

The workers, who called on the ministry of labour and productivity to immediately wade into the inhuman treatment of Nigerian workers on their father’s land, said that the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mr Francis Vazheparambbil, must be prosecuted in line with the Nigerian laws.

The workers carrying placards with inscription “Indians must go” “we don’t want Indians” “we say no to casualization” “we are not slaves” and many other inscriptions, lamented that Nigerian workers are treated in the company like during the days of the slave trade.

The spokesman of the protesting workers Abdullah Maigida Bello who spoke on behalf of others said, “since the Indians came to manage this company they make us work like slaves in our own country with no commensurate income.”

“Some of us have been on causal list of the company for 12 years, what they do is disengaging and re-engaging without paying.

“Most of the permanent staff including some senior staff appointments were terminated without payment but were converted to contract staff by these Indians.

“The Group Chief Operating Officer Of Priam of Companies that manages Adama Beverages Limited, Mr. Francis Vazheparambbil, has succeeded in bringing Indians from his village to take over the management of the company as permanent staff while we Nigerians who are more educated and qualified were terminated and re-engaged as contract staff,” he stated.

He added, “Even some of the jobs meant for junior staff and casuals have been taking over by this unqualified Indians he brought.”

Also speaking, the chairman of Senior Staff Union of Food and Beverages Staff Union of Nigeria, Adama Beverages Limited Branch, Comrade Puke Jackson, told journalists that some staff were giving query for holding a meeting that did not affect the production of the day.

“We came in as a union to intervene but the management seems to have taken a stand, this has been the problem since Indians took over the company, he has brought a lot of Indians to displaced us Nigerians who are better qualified,” Jackson said.

The Group Chief Operating Officer of the company Mr Francis declined to comment when journalists contacted him, saying” I don’t have any business with the Nigerian journalists. I will not talk to you people.”

First lady Melania Trump has reportedly been taped making disparaging remarks about Trump, as well as his daughter, Ivanka.

An estranged confidant of Melania Trump plans to reveal what she had to say in a new tell-all book, one of a flood of damaging memoirs coming out during the months leading up to Election Day, journalist Yashar Ali revealed Monday.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who helped run the Trump inauguration celebration, plans to dish on the first lady’s reaction to the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape, in which her husband bragged of handling women, and her relationship with the president’s favorite daughter.

“Wolkoff takes you into Trump Tower and the White House to tell the funny, thrilling, and heartbreaking story of her intimate friendship with one of the most famous women in the world,” a preview of the book reveals.

“Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with The First Lady” will be published by Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books on Sept. 1.

It was not immediately clear when or where the alleged recordings of Melania were made. In New York and some states, only one participant in a conversation needs to legally consent to being taped.

Wolkoff also vows to pull back the curtain on Melania Trump’s life with President Trump in the White House, including whether she is happy as First Lady and her message behind her infamous “I really don’t care” jacket

Wolkoff was a friend of Melania Trump for more than a decade and produced the Met Gala, among other big-time events.

The pair had a major falling out over her handling of the $107 million inauguration, which has been dogged by questions and even a federal investigation.

Wolkoff says she was made a scapegoat by Melania for the decisions of President Trump and his aides.

The tell-all will hit bookshelves about the same time as other damaging behind-the-scenes looks at Trump in the frantic final sprint to the Nov. 3 election.

This diffusion in the management of public debt created fundamental problems, including the following:

Operational inefficiency and poor coordination;

Inadequate debt data recording system and poor information flow across agencies with consequent inaccurate and incomplete debt records;
Extreme difficulty in the verification of creditors’ claims due to conflicting figures from the various bodies handling the debt management function;
Complicated and inefficient debt service arrangements, which created protracted payment procedure and often led to penalties that added to the nation’s debt stock;
Inadequate manpower and poor incentive systems for the affected personnel, which affected outputs and performance;
Lack of consistent well-defined borrowing policies and debt management strategies;
The consideration of these myriad problems led government to support the establishment of a relatively autonomous debt management office, which resulted in the formation of the DMO in October 2000. The need for the creation of a separate public debt management office was therefore aimed at achieving the following advantages:

Good debt management practices that make positive impact on economic growth and national development, particularly in reducing debt stock and cost of public debt servicing in a manner that saves resources for investment in poverty reduction programs;
Prudently raising financing to fund government deficits at affordable costs and manageable risks in the medium- and long-term;
Achieving positive impact on overall macroeconomic management, including monetary and fiscal policies;
Consciously avoiding debt crisis and achieving an orderly growth and development of the national economy;
Improving the nation’s borrowing capacity and its ability to manage debt efficiently in promoting economic growth and national development;
Projecting and promoting a good image of Nigeria as a disciplined and organized nation, capable of managing its assets and liabilities;
Providing opportunity for professionalism and good practice in nation building;
