Gov. El-rufai has enough on his plate to be concerned about in Kaduna but I don't think he meant to demean the talent and intelligence of the actors. But truth be told except for the special (unnamed gender grin) always displaying brand new designer gear and new autos on IG many of them have health and financial issues as dem mature requiring prayers and donations from the public. And let's not mention the husband stealing, infidelities, and broken marriages that abound in dere industry. There's a front page thread on NL about one of these dramas this very day. Recently I came across an online article about an actress lamenting that she thought her acting career finished because she did a simulated sex scene with an German Shepard dog. Some age well and are healthy and robust but the equation no balance.

Texts of Right Wing Conservative Alex Jones revealed.

Thousands of Alex Jones' Texts Are Now Public, and Yep, He's the Worst
Story by Kylie Cheung • 2h ago

As has previously been reported by Rolling Stone, at around the time these texts were sent, Jones oversaw an elaborate “spy ring” to surveil his ex-wife, Kelly Jones, and current wife Erika Wulff Jones. Jones went so far as to keep a GPS tracker on Erika’s car and required hourly updates on her location from Tim Enlow—a former cop and Blackwater spy—whom he’d hired to follow her.

Yet despite his suspicions about Erika, at the same time that he was texting Enlow demanding updates about his wife, he was also texting an unnamed married woman with whom he was having an affair, “On my way. Pleas run me a bath,” per SPLC’s report. At another point, he asked his mistress for a “sucky.”

Foreign AffairsRe: Mr. Errol Musk Sr. Fortifies His Langebaan SA Home Security by ZooOga(op): 7:25pm On Jan 21, 2023
Continued

Errol, who has fathered at least seven children to three different women - including having had two children with his 34-year-old stepdaughter, Jana Bezuidenhuit - said he believed his son's concern was sparked by his new ownership of Twitter.

Elon Musk said last month that he believes his efforts to make the platform more transparent puts him at risk, because he is exposing what he believes to be U.S. government collusion with the tech firm to censor content.

He suspended an account that tracked his private jet, and froze the accounts of journalists who retweeted its posts.

The 51-year-old claimed that the tracking of the jet led to a 'crazy stalker' following a car carrying his young son, X Æ A-12, in Los Angeles, and described the account as posting 'basically assassination coordinates.'

On May 8, while the deal to purchase Twitter was still being agreed, he tweeted: 'If I die under mysterious circumstances, it's been nice knowin ya.'

Errol said his son saw him as vulnerable, and feared that kidnappers could make the 'quickest $20million dollars ever' by targeting his family.

'He decided, after the recent threats against him, that I need protection as well,' Errol told The Sun.

'If they kidnap one of us, it will be the quickest $20million anybody's ever made in their life.

'I think Elon's a bit naïve about the enemies he's making, especially with the Twitter Files.

'I'm not scared but I'm really afraid that something might happen to Elon, even though he has about 100 security guards around him.'

Errol said his own home in the Western Cape now has a high-tech camera system, electrified fencing, and around-the-clock monitoring by guards who are 'armed to the teeth.'

He told the paper: 'Elon's people contacted me to say they wanted to completely secure my house.

'I got a notice in December from this security company saying that they have instructions to secure the house.

'So I now have nine cameras around the house that are monitored 24/7 and that I can monitor on my phone and TV.

'They've also installed an electric fence around my house.

'I have first-class security now. It's unbelievable.'

He added: 'They check on me all the time. If they see a strange car in my driveway, they come in and ask me if I'm alright.

'I hate living like this, but I've lived like this in Johannesburg and Pretoria, and I understand where it's coming from.'

Elon's relationship with his father is decidedly more distant than with his mother Maye, with whom Elon is frequently spotted.

Maye Musk divorced Errol in 1979, when Elon was eight.

Elon lived with his mother, and aged 17 left South Africa to study in Canada.

Maye, now 70, lives in New York City - her ninth city, in three countries.

Guards 'armed to the teeth', electric fences and high-tech cameras: Elon Musk's father reveals the incredible measures billionaire has taken to boost security amid kidnapping fears: 'If they take one of us, it will be the quickest $20m anybody's made'

He said that the new $15,000 security system was 'first class' and said he was protected around the clock by cameras and guards

Elon Musk's father has revealed that his son has installed new high-tech security measures at his South African home, amid the ever-present fear of kidnapping.

Errol Musk, a 76-year-old retired engineer, said that contractors arrived at his home in Langebaan, 90 miles north of Cape Town, in December.

He said the new security measures were 'first class' - adding that he did not like living in a fortress, but, having lived in crime-ridden Johannesburg and Pretoria, he was used to being barricaded in.

Musk in 1998 killed three armed intruders at his home, while his then six-year-old daughter Ali clung to his leg.

He told The Sun that, in the last year alone, his home had been broken into four times, and televisions stolen.

'Frankly, the risk of something bad happening or literally even being shot is quite significant,' he said.

'I'm definitely not going to be doing any open-air car parades, let me put it that way.

'It's not that hard to kill me if somebody wanted to, so hopefully they don't.'

PoliticsRe: How Influencers Are Paid By Political Parties To Promote Falsehood - BBC by ZooOga(op): 2:44am On Jan 18, 2023
Continued

A reverse image search revealed that the men were nomadic Fulani whose children Mr Shettima had enrolled in western schools in 2017 and not Boko Haram members.

A month later, influencers promoted a claim without evidence that Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi was linked to, and following orders from, the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob) - a separatist movement designated in Nigeria as a terror group. His party denies this.

Those who shared this information included Reno Omokri - special assistant to former opposition President Goodluck Jonathan - who has more than two million followers on Twitter.

When approached for a comment, Reno Omokri said he stands by his accusations, but insists he has not been paid by the main opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) to campaign on their behalf.

Meanwhile, false claims that the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, fell ill and was rushed out of the country have been shared several times on Twitter.

Godiya, the politician we interviewed, says political parties tell influencers to elicit as much emotion as they can with their paid posts.

"We use images that may not even be relevant to the story we are trying to spin. We can take pictures from East Africa in the 1990s in warzones and attach them to a tweet about how my ethnic group is being killed. When people get emotional they retweet, they like, and it gets traction," she says.

According to the whistle-blowers, the hired influencers are sometimes given an idea that they should frame in their own words. At other times, they are given the actual tweets that need to be published at specific times.

They say influencers are paid based on the number of followers they have. They also say payment happens mostly in cash to avoid a paper trail.

Moral compass
It is not illegal for political parties to hire social media influencers in Nigeria, but spreading disinformation on social media is a breach of the country's laws and Twitter's policy.

The BBC has asked Nigeria's main political parties, APC, PDP, and the Labour Party, about the whistle-blowers' allegations. They did not reply to our request for comment.

False messages tend to spill offline - travelling from Twitter to news programmes, becoming real conversations on the streets of Nigeria
In response to our findings, Twitter has taken down some of the accounts we reported to them and said it had a responsibility to protect electoral conversations from interference, manipulation, and false information.

However, there are concerns about the platform's capacity to tackle misinformation in Africa after Elon Musk's takeover of the company, when its continental headquarters in Ghana was closed and nearly all its staff fired.

The BBC has reached out to Twitter again after these changes, but received no response.

Idayat Hassan, director at the Centre for Democracy and Development, says the activities of these influencers amounted to "political interference".

"It is undermining trust in democracy, undermining trust in the electoral system, and it is instigating conflict," she says.

But politician Godiya sees it a different way, and defends the tactic: "It is a game. Somebody had to win, and God help me, I will not be on the losing side."
