Just like the rest of the world calling Nigerians scammers?
Nigerians are scammers cos that's what they knows us for. You will need to wash yourself clean and prove you aren't ONE of them instead of arguing baselessly.

I know the special search and funny looks these foreigners give we Nigerians in their airports and why? Cos of what they know us for and does that means all of us carry drugs and scam online?

We will keep going around in circles till all b of us grow some sense of respect. When Brabus scammed people here, nobody remembered that he was to yoruba.

Brabus scammed people from every tribe in Nigeria. He scammed Ikwerre people, ibo people, Ijaw men, yoruba people and even hausa men, everyone kept quiet and respected his tribe but just a mere 130 k under loading and the guy is cursing igbos. This must stop or we all close this thread.

You say we haven't travelled, I laugh in Canadian language grin
Honestly I don't believe you are a grown man cos my 11 year old kid isn't dumb like this..if you have any issues with brabus or whoever why don't you lodge your complain and get him arrested? Did he scam you?

Kobo Kobo project doesn't necessarily mean the builder is poor.

It simply means stage by stage development, rather than timed project done on contract basis where the contractor tells you it would cost ₦50m to finish the house and you out the amount in the bank.

I remember how I started my project.

I gave myself a 3 months timeline to roof, which we achieved.

We started the first of 23 pile points on 15th April, 2020 (during the lockdown) and roofed the building exactly on 15th July, 2020.

Took a break for 1 month, then moved to windows.
After windows, we started conduit piping in September.
By mid October, we moved to sight fully with wiring, plastering etc.
From November till date finishing commenced fully with tilers, POP guys, electricians, bricklayers etc everyone is there at the site now, hoping that by Mid January, we should be done.

We are over 70% done

It still a Kobo Kobo project done in stages
oga mi, let's not be missing things up grin

If you started this your house April and you are doing finishing already by now that means your house no be Kobo Kobo house.

We the Kobo Kobo house owners start foundation and rest for 8months
set another block, rest for 5 month
finish lintel then rest for 1year
roof the house after 1 year rest for another 7 month
Start plastering and other finishing and house will be completed after 4-5 years. That's Kobo Kobo house grin

It's different from money that's on ground that you just go and pull out for the project non-stop .

We the poor Kobo house owners frawns at this your post. We know ourselves make you rich people no come dey take our place grin

Since your are always at home during the day, you will spend more on solar panels so that you can still use the power over night. therefore you will be spending more than 500k for a stable supply. But if you do have electricity of 10 to 12 hours a day, you can still cut the cost.

PLAN A

4 Pcs of 150ah battery. 60,000*4=240,000
10 PC's of 200 watts panel. 26,000*10=260,000
2kv inverter 105,000.
Mptt charge controller 40ah 25,000 (for fast and accurate charging)
Wire from your solar panel to batteries 8,000
Accessories to hold your solar panels on your roofing 10,000
Workmanship 10,000-15,000

Total 660,000.
For a 4 bedroom and a mini duplex. Mansions and big duplex will cost x 2-3 of this for a better supply.

PLAN B

3 Pcs of 150ah battery 60,000*3= 180,000
8 pcs of 150 watts panels. 21,000*8= 168,000
2kv inverter 105,000
Wire 8,000
Accessories 10,000
Workmanship 10,000-15,000

Total 501,000
For a 3-4 bedroom flat

PLAN C

2pcs of 150ah batteries 60,000*2= 120,000
6 pcs of 150 watts panel 21,000*6= 126,000
1.5kv inverter 75,000
Mptt charge controller 25,000
Wire 8,000
Accessories 10,000
Workmanship 10,000-15,000

Total 370,000
2-3 bedroom

PLAN D

150ah battery 60,000
3pcs 150 watts 21,000*3 = 63,000
1kv inverter 45,000-50,000
Charge controller 8,000
Wire 8,000
Accessories 5,000
Workmanship 10,000

Total 205,000..
1 bedroom

Note: the only place you can cut cost in this my post is the inverter. You can buy used inverter to save cost.

solar inverter isn't nepa or generator, the more appliances you on, the faster your battery will run down. you will need to be cautious of your usage by switching off bulbs, fans and every other things you aren't using

I use plan B due to bad electricity in my area. With this plan, I use the power from 6pm till next day. I hardly on Gen if not to pump water.

This solar is better than our noisy generator(if you have the money) cos I did the calculations myself fueling gen overnight and maintaining the gen. There is nothing to maintain while using solar.

The only disadvantage is raining season since there won't be much sunlight then. But still, you can use nepa to charge during the day or generator to charge at night and you will still use the power overnight. 4-6hours nepa/generator will charge it full if there isn't sunlight at all throughout the day. But the best to charge is sunlight cos it will give it accurate charging and will last longer than GENERATOR and NEPA.

Dear(s),

I was looking for where to buy roofing, as usual I was prepared for the usual attitude (cheating and stress) of our country men. I came looking for a trusted roofer. I have never known Money121 in my life, in fact I am beyond amazed. I saw reviews and decided to follow my intuition.

All I did was to send 95% of the money to his account, being a busy person I didn’t even keep in touch, he roofed it in 2days and kept me updated from loading till completion.

I will recommend Money121 anytime, anyday. This is the most seamless transaction I’ve heard as a Nigerian. Thank you money121
this is all I need in a PERSON even tho he will eat from me, get the fvcking job DONE to my satisfaction.

Please do break it down for us.
done that long ago.

zuraking:
okay. The battery I am using is 150ah which cost 60k for one. So let's assume your house is 2 bedroom to 3 bedroom, you can manage 2 batteries. If your house is 4 bedroom or duplex you can use 4 batteries and have it in mind that you must be checking wattage of any electronics you are buying or using (the lower the wattage, the longer your battery will last after fully charged). You MUST use original AKT energy bulbs with 5-10 watts maximum in your house to make the batteries last longer.

So what's are needed :

1.. batteries 150ah cost 60k, 200ah cost 95k

2... Inverter (this will be the one to supply light and also charge the batteries when we are in raining season) price is 65k for 1kv and 120k for 2.5kv. you can buy used one to cut cost which is 35k for 1kv and 75k for 2.5k.

3... Solar panels. 150ah batteries needs 300watts to charge it full with 5-6hours sunlight. so you can buy 150watts 2 for 150ah battery which cost 25k per 150watt. If you don't want your roofing to be filled up with panels, you can buy single 300watts for 38-45k (but I prefer 150 watts)

4... charge controller: this is used to control the sunlight that will be charging your batteries with solar panels to avoid over charging. It cost 8-10k

5... You need wire that will connect your solar panels from.th roofing to the batteries inside. The price depends on the height of the roofing and the location of the batteries. price shouldn't be more that 10k assuming the house is 2 story building and you live down.

In conclusion, your pocket will give you what you want and the more the batteries and panels, the longer the power supply. When my batteries are fully charged (with 5-6 hours sunlight my batteries are full already) we use it from evening till the next morning.

I cannot count the number of graduates/undergraduates we train annually.

One of our major problem in Nigeria is “We have too many educated illiterates.”

The future is bleak unless we invest heavily in our young ones. It’s not all about the useless feeding programmes.

_______

Pic 1 & 2 - This is the true state of the nation.

If government should arrest those empowering young ones with basic skills, what should happen to those producing unemployable graduates? huh
the earlier we face reality, the better for us

the funny thing is that we all see these kids and do nothing to help them.
These kids deserve education but since they can't get it, let them take up the next best thing available. It's a cat race here and everyone is trying to outrun poverty. Some already across the line but millions are yet to even start a race.

I went with my friend to his village in Ebonyi State,as we were going,a small boy of around 8 was begging my friend to take him with him because he's tired of staying in the village with zero prospect. At that time, I was still engaged with my boss. If not, I will take that boy immediately and teach him my job. Child labor consequences be damned
unless we are just trying to feign ignorance or be an hypocrite. Nigeria govt has failed us so everyone is trying to survive.

I hate when I hear and read about education, education is overrated in Nigeria. When I count billionaires and millionaires in Nigeria and the whole world entirely, you won't see who made it big with education (I mean with salary from his/her white collar job). BUSINESS and SKILLS is the only WAY to survive in NIGERIA.

Education is good but it's useless in a shithole like Nigeria. Skills and family background is what youths are using to survive now (thanks to ASUU and FG that are playing kite with our students)

My 11 year old is now learning catering because I know the future of this useless country where graduates don't have hope of getting good job.

Greed is in Nigeria and we don't love ourselves. Same person preaching love doesn't love his neighbor including their dogs. We have rich people here that can help these underage kids in their street but will ignore them and start chasing how to build another house when they already have 5. It's self centered and most of them will still tell you child labor is bad. how many have we helped?? Let's start from our side.

If govt doesn't help them and the privileged ones can't help them as well then they have no choice than to enroll in different hand work to build their future. Everything shouldn't be about SCHOOL. Not all parents have the power to send their kids to school. I achieve a lot with my skills and not the book I read.
