A socio-political group, United Nigerian Professionals for Democracy and Justice, UNPDJ, has cautioned the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, against the use of inciting languages and other acts that are capable of undermining the peace and continued existence of Nigeria.

In a press statement made available to Saturday Pilot and signed by the National President of the organisation, Otunba Bayo Adeleke, the group noted that the ACN is always looking for one thing or the other to say or do against President Goodluck Jonathan and the federal government, a trend he said has transformed the party as an irritant to the nation.

The statement also expressed shock that Congress of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, could join in the call for impeachment of the President, saying such is not the solution to Nigeria’s problems.

Part of the statement reads: “The antics of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in fuelling instability in the polity have become worrisome. If it is not leading assault on President Goodluck Jonathan on imagines issues, it is recycling old issue in an attempt to maintain presence in the media. But there is a limit to everything.

“Even if the ACN did help enthrone the current leadership of the House, it should not push the House into taking a position that would alienate it from the majority of Nigerians who believe that the current call for impeachment proceedings is I’ll-timed, unnecessary and a merry-go-round intended only to massage the egos of the shadow sponsors.”

On the threat of impeachment of the President by some opposition elements in the House of Representatives, Bachuwaya said it is an exercise in futility as it was meant to be an irritant on the body polity.

“The ACN is already drawing up the alleged offences in its current drive to force the House to start impeachment proceeding against the President. But it already knows it is all noise, as it would not achieve its intended purpose. It would only overheat the polity. This unnecessary impeachment move would not serve the National Assembly, the polity or the nation any good, except to keep hired guns in business.

The statement reads further that: “Instead of the current unending search for issues to tackle the Presidency with, the ACN should look at the leadership of the National Assembly, which testifies to the fact that President Goodluck Jonathan has no interest in interfering in the work of the other two arms of government. It is not his style. And it is part of his style of nurturing and deepening the nation’s democracy. The ACN should not be allowed to continue to foul up the air and constitute a clog in building a harmonious Executive-Legislative relationship.”

“We implore the CNPP to rise above bandwagon politics of issuing press statement even when there is no need. And Nigerians have to know that the sponsors of the current impeachment moves are not within the National Assembly, but are part of the group who want to get constitutional positions through unconstitutional means. Nigeria has gone pass that level of primitive politics and should not go back to such spur of the moment actions”, it added

ACN is simply seeking relevance.
They should simply watch and see how their attack dog, the thief Gbajabia etc will be dealt with.

Both ACN and the nonentity group should shut up. They're part of Nigeria's many problems.

Seeking relevance? cheesy And yet the Retardeen of a president came all the way from Abuja to Edo state thinking he could win for his party. But got really dealt with by ACN. Surely, that otueke cassava bread is working wonders on your brain.

Nice to see that others are seeing what we saw years back.. I don't want the opposition moribund but this adventure by ACN may destroy them soon.. For the interest of the Nigerian nation they should stop hunting our democracy by their falsehood including the. 100 sponsored bootlickers on NL

This sort of uncultured, braindead outburst is the very thing ACN is being cautioned about by civilised people like Otunba Bayo Adeleke.

You really need to be wary of your choice of words with me. I get the jibe you are trying to make with comparing ACN with NURTW.

While NURTW may have their negative vices, I need remind you that this union is a group of Nigerians who work hard for their living. To try and disparage them as lowly set of people from the gutter is nothing but blatant stupidity from you. You truly need to grow a functional brain and stop stuffing yourself with that otueke cassava bread.

Impeachment proceedings is a healthy process in any democratic society. You and your hungry Otunba need to get your Retardeen working as he is supposed to. If budget implementation is not fully undertaken by September 18, Retardeen should expect an impeachment proceeding enacted against him. How unhealthy is that in a nation where nothing is working at the moment? SIMPLES. cool

It is not difficult to know that you are a fool. And I will not allow you to spread this foolishness on this thread.
You keep m.asturbating about a mythical attempt by GEJ to rig Edo polls when the real victor, not a distant fool who was blabbing on Nairaland on election day, has come out openly to commend and acknowledge the role of GEJ in the free and fair elections in Edo.

It is either that you are blind or you don't own a TV to have seen Oshiomhole rush to Aso rock, immediately after the elections, to thank GEJ for deploying all necessary machinery towards conducting a credible election in Edo state.

What problems do you have with cassava bread all the time? If you don't like the idea that the Agric minister is promoting, you have an option not to buy it when you see it.
Don't make a mockery of yourself by blabbing about a policy that you know little or nothing about. This is exactly what the group is warning ACN about.

It's also evident in your posts. It takes a prominent member of NURTW to ask for a budget which was passed in march to be fully implemented by September. Perhaps, that is how budgets are run in NURTW. In your organization, fiscal year is 6 months because of the instability of leadership so I understand your frustrations about GEJ's budget implementation.

You think Nigerian budget to be that of NURTW. sorry. It's not.

Gosh, it is raining dunces today! How you pathetic lot keep vomitting the same nonsense smacks of being heavily drugged by stupidity.

The people of Edo rejected PDP. They see their dreams for a better Edo State in ACN. How mentally difficult is that for you to infuse into your dumb skulls? Retardeen should have tried to rig Edo state elections and let us see if he would still be eating his one billion naira yearly food right now.

In respect to your cassava bread policy, you are apparently of low intelligence to talk about it. Is wheat importation our urgent problem in this country? Are you aware Nigeria is the highest producer of cassava globally? I have read from you consistently that the cassava bread is intended to boost local production of cassava. Fine, to what end? Stuff every Nigerian with cassava bread which medically is not a healthy option. You are so dumb to realize every time you drum this cassava bread, you are simply broadcasting your stupidity for all to marvel at.

Now back at topic, tell your Retardeen to implement the budget by 100%. Otherwise by September 18, an impeachment will be enacted against him. If he does not want to destabilize the country, let him act according to the rules and constitution of the land. Of course, it all about: ''Don't destabilize the status quo''. A status quo where the budget is not implemented. All written and documented in paper, but when it comes to enacting, the thieves and RETARDEEN in government are all itching to give us excuses as to why it won't work.

Well sorry President Retardeen the status quo is about to change. Implement the budget or get an impeachment process enacted against you.

Like I said, bro, you and your primitive approach remind me of NURTW. I've got a pic below of an NURTW rampage through Lagos.
It is expected that you would call the Otumba a "hungry man" rather than tackle his argument, because crude agricultural methods are all that NURTW operatives can provide. They lack the critical thinking skills, grace, manners and social skills to engage in an argument like civilised beings, they would rather carry sticks to fight, rob "enemies" at night or haul childish insults like ill-bred urchins. You are what you are.

Stop destabilising the country.

All hail ACN! Party of choice for NURTW!
