This is the kind of excuse you get from lazy and incompetent people.

#NOOFFENCE

Please, tell us if your governor is doing better than a goat, instead of derailling desperately. Somebody asks you A and you start misfiring about B. Pat Utomi criticised governors for being worse than goats, but by your submissions, you seem to be in support of goat-like governors.

Please stick to the topic and stop sounding desperate when men of high intelligence like Pat Utomi tell us correctly that the governors are what is wrong with the countruy. Do you even know the name of you LG boss?

Beaf: Very nice one from Pat Utomi.
I think we might be adding Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa from the way things are going.

Hmmmm his past is no more colorful than former disgraced (now honored) governor DSP Alamieyeseigha nor his evidently corrupt/disgraced immediate past governor Sylvia Timipre .. but let us do what we always do nonetheless -- give him time to undo the damage and perform to the pleasant surprise of Bayelsans

Delafruita:
i dont agree with you completely.the american system of federalism might not work in nigeria.you need to take into account the fact that america isnt just a country, its a union.different states joined the union at different times but for the same purpose,to repel the british.these states already existed independently before the formation of the union and based on the agreements, were to continue to exist independently.even the states that were added later either through purchase or otherwise continued in that same manner.nigeria doesnt have foundation.states didnt come together, rather states were arbitrarily formed.i support true fiscal federalism but the reality is that if we choose to implement it ,many states will go bankrupt

Then they do what bankrupt individuals and organisations do. Seek court protection from their creditors and restructure their books. Or you think states in the US cannot go bankrupt. But when you continue to subsidize unproductivity what is the incentive for good governance and propriety. Not every state is pulling its weight including some oil producing ones because they have never learnt to invest to earn.

In the US even the unproductive effects of traffic jams are key economic indicators so infrastructure is not just a social service but a business tool.

I tell you without exposure to life's realities whether buying petrol at proper prices or governments earning from its own investments we will NEVER develop.

I think we were laughing at the cassava initiative a while ago. By next year when US wheat harvests fail then it will be clear that you can only survive if you are prepared to look inward. Let them continue to depend on oil and gas.

Why must we blame governors for our collective failure? What are the likes of Utomi doing to salvage this nation from the grasp of its treasury looters?
