The second stage of this project has since commenced with the production of blocks for the walling. We are going to start laying blocks on the German floor and creating the rooms and other fine features later today. All hands are on deck to give this project the care and attention it deserves. i ve become one of ur fans. ur step by step documentation n pics can help a jjc like me not to get swindled. well done. i am always appalled with the state of fixtures/fittings (acquired @ great cost) in homes few yrs after completion.my question is: will it be better to source for some fittings like kitchens and windows from overseas e.g UK or av it done locally.

My client in Owerri is already buying all his house fittings abroad, we shall fix them here in Nigeria.

There will not be block work on site today. We have ran out of blocks and I want to use today to make more blocks and allow the ones made earlier to dry out in the sun. (If we shall have sunshine today) block work may commence sometimes in the weekend.

Another slated job is to commence iron works for the columns and beams. This house will be framed 100% (chaining) and as such will consume more rods. Iron benders are supposed to start their own work as from today.

The network was so slow last night, as a result all my pictures could not be uploaded. I will load more pictures when we return from site today.

We could not make more blocks in this site today owing to some factors, chief among them is the threat of rainfall in the morning/afternoon. We are going to attempt again tomorrow. More pictures later.

This is a 5 bedroom duplex, there will be one bedroom downstairs and four upstairs (all ensuit). The upper floors will be cantilevered out in three sides, making it very large. I am also thinking of adding a big sit-out in front of the house.
When you have the distance to shoot your pictures from afar, every house will look small. In Owerri the fence made it impossible to shoot from afar.
