ON A SERIOUS NOTE ; I LIVE IN OKOTA AND THOUGH AM NOT A PDP FAN, I MUST CONFESS THAT THE LIGHT HAS IMPROVED DRASTICALLY!!!...IF IT HAS NOT IMPROVED IN YOUR AREA I THINK IT SHOULD BE A TRANSFORMER PROBLEM.

It not a transformer problem. No light for 3 weeks then they brought it for 2 days.
Now, no light for the past 4 days. I don tire o.
And they have raised the bill by almost 80% yet no light.

You will be able to rightfully say power supply has improved if one day you realise you can't remember when was the last time NEPA went off... And when in the night you walk on the streets, without hearing brrrr brrrr brrrr generators wink

Thank you Bart Nnaji.
Thank you Gej.

This can only be achieved by Biafrans .
A reflection of what independent Biafra would have been. Keep on dragging us down with boko haram. You created it and it will consume you.

If other ministers can perform in their respective ministries just like dis Prof is doing, I don't think Nigerians'll complain dat much again. We need more of actions than talk.... God bless Nigeria!

The prof's work is not yet completed cos it remains distribution, some places has 20hrs of power supply while some has just 1hr,this is also another problem that needs attention o.

Chairman, light supply has improved but not to d extent u just painted it. Where in ph specifically fits that description?

Emotions and sentiments seems to be the way in naija.pls you guys should note that there is nothing new in this power generation level.Every year between june -september,power is relatively stable,if by January-may 2013 power is stable like this,we can say uhuru to PDP and Mr president. For now nothing is new.Same was said during the late Yar'adua when on board on. May 29th 2011,power supply took a dramatic improvement in June and kudos was givaing to him when he went further and promise to declare emergency in the sector, the rest is history. We are too myopic in our collective reasoning, though everybody is entitled to his/her opinion but don't say things that re incorrect which is why I weep more often than note when iread comments on nairaland and other online inst.By God grace,we will revisit this issue.chau

That makes no sense. Was there power during the wet season in 2007?
Re: Diesel Price Drops As Power Supply Improves by Tisa: 5:02am On Aug 17, 2012
Yea, this is true, electricity is as good as 24hrs in my area for a while now. I am sure they are working on the distribution sector as well so that we have enough transformers, base stations etc. The govt shd also try to empower our youths financially to become job creators rather than job seekers, this can be done by creating an empowerment program in conjunction with nysc (nysc needs to do more than the 1yr service).

It won't be long again b4 we have our national pride again and with that and more good news/actions on d govt side, the northern populace will deal with BH themselves cos I truly believe BH strives on the frustration of the people.

I pray for the best for Nigeria and Nigerians.

God bless us all.

You are such a huge and directionless liar!

Nigeria has not at anytime experienced 18-24 hrs of electricity nationwide at least since I know what electricity is and I am in my thirties. I dare you to prove the bulldung you put up above. Was there also not wet season last year that the same GEJ was president? Did anyone (including him)claim that power increased? When will you guys stop? The government is not even close to being perfect but like it or not, it is the best we 've had recently.

The government is working and the only thing you can do is point out areas the government can do better and pray the new development is sustained!
Have you ever thought of what this power improvement will do to this nation? Jobs will start jumping out of nowhere, crime rate will consequently drop drastically. Inflation will drop as well and Nigerians will become happier people. Meeen!

While at it, get your form for the 20,000 laptop, our new target is 5 million laptop by December this year when power will have reached at least 9,000 MW.

Nigeria is working boko or no boko!
Re: Diesel Price Drops As Power Supply Improves by timilehing(m): 5:49am On Aug 17, 2012
Before it was 16hrs but since last month it has reached 20-22hrs of electricity over here. Keep it comin!
