it baffles my mind alot when they say Jesus died for me. I thought everybody will eventually die at some point in time,if he was not crucified will jesus be around now using iphone5 and flying in jets. boyfriends takes a bullet for girlfriend, soldiers,police die on course of duty, mums and dad meet their death while trying to provide for their children(its a sacrifice). If i where Jesus i would ask God (daddy)why is it mandatory for me to come to earth and commit suicide so that u would be pacified, are there no other reasonable options. No big deal, kids are good at mimicking people they watch. I use to teach in a Children section of a church; there there kids who mimic all the pastors,and anyone who come up the altar to preach. Including their own parents.

The scripture you quoted "Seek first the kingdom and his righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you" is so very easy to understand, but sadly it is one of the scrptures that have been misapplied and abused by prosperity preachers to suck their sheep dry to enrich themselves.
Did Jesus whose word is truth mean that seeking the kingdom would make someone rich? No. If he did, it would make him a liar because peter did not become rich, neither did paul nor indeed were we told of anybody coming into material wealth from seeking the kingdom. To buttress my point a bit more think about the man that said silver and gold i have none, wasn't he a kingdom seeker? What of the man that said that the poor will always be with us, did he lie?
The truthful and simple explanation is that Jesus made that statement to show how important the kingdom is to us christians. That it is by means of the kingdom that all of mankind problems will be solved. In other words, when we get into the kingdom, we are provided with all other things.
