And what do you call your primitive films which promote low level thinking and belief in magic and other crap? It is setting Africa backward and making the people's superstitious while Europe and the West are moving toward science and empirical thinking! Once again the GIRLS(men who act like girls) in your industry are just intimidated by Ghanaman... I can understand that, I would be too wink wink grin grin grin grin

Sincerely, other african countries don't play with nigerian movies. They even knew the names of the actors and actress. Our movies are held in high esteem here in SA. DSTV here have 2 channels dedicated to 9ja movies. This move is more than a welcome development because charity begin at home.

Mr man, this thread is for nigerians and not ghana. You should open your own thread. Who invited you here in the first place. May be you came here to spy on our intelligence. If you decide to be here, you must remain as respectful as ever.

Many people here are mere hypocrites. If u claim u dont like ghana movies bcoz it "porn or soft porn" then why buy or watch them? Why support d ban- wen d movies cud as well die a natural death in nigeria due to poor patronage- without even a ban on it. Or is it not d market forces of demand & supply dat determines d existence of a commodity in d market. D idea here is dat d marketers are opposed to healthy market competition n nothin more. And u all supporting d ban here are mere HYPOCRITES.

They should be taken to Ibadan for discussions. That is the part of nigeria that looks worn out like their towns. They should be able to feel at home there.

When they were abusing naija business men, where were the delegates

This is what they call protectionism......

As far as I'm concerned Nigeria films was simply going into extinction, actors, actresses and its half baked directors were going hungry, being unable to compete they felt that banning would be a means to flush their rivals out.

But they've got it allllll wrong, cos good things has a way of finding its way to the Nigeria market.
My own honest advice is that we should try improve on our productions---------the idea of having up to part 5 in most of our films is so uncalled for and usually irritating.

SmoothCrim: See how hypocritical you animals are.... When we were kicking Nigerian traders out you were crying but, since your films are sh1t and you can't compete you are trying to ban Ghanaian movies! You weak cowards, you dogs, you have no dignity!! Alien Compliance Order NOW!!!!!

Only Ghanaian RULE can SAVE Africa wink
You are so pertetic for calling nigerians such names,do we ask ghana to supply us porn movies, what we are saying is that you people should stop exporting ur level of indecency to nigeria, all these movies show how indecency rule in ghana,if you are not happy about it just go hug transformer stop crying, slowpoke

To be sincere banning their movies is really good so as to stop the indecency bt nollywood should try and approve their production and story-line.

mrrock: I think Nollywood simply feel threatened. Ghana production is a little bit more matured. In Nigeria we believe in rush-rush production. I remember a guy approached me sometime to sponsor a movie, he said from the shooting will take 3 days only. I didn't do it because I felt it was very risky venture.
However, anything they should do to protect our interest should be done.
You may be right, they are matured in producing indecent movies we are not,i guess that is what you meant
