Well.....I don't see why movies without permission should be dumped in Nigeria.

We need the industry to be regulated. We are trying to change Nollywood and we need to target illegal distribution. If Ghanaian films are being imported and distributed then they need to go through the right channels and be declared at the ports. They should be paying an import duty.

There are some good Ghanaian films and film makers.

There are also some good new Nigerian film makers also.

Its is no longer just juju etc.

We are trying to switch it up in Nigeria and we need these measures to make the necessary transition.

Did Ghana not try to introduce measures to prevent Nigerians making and being employed on locations in Ghana last year?

The issue of sex in Ghanaian film is one which even Ghanaians are complaining about.

We all complain about the juju scenes in Naija films, but at least there s a moral to the story. the person who uses juju NEVER wins through it in Naija films......they always meet their demise because of it or see the error in their ways and convert.

Sex in Ghanaian films is just used as a marketing tool. It can be explicit at times and I just think African movie is not ready just yet.

As with girls cot, it was not explicit but suggestive. The inclusion of lesbianism was to underline the wayward life the girls were living, just like they use a woman smoking or drinking beer to suggest waywardness. At the end one of them ended up with a guy anyway.
The film was made quite a few years ago and is not typical of a Nollywood story line, whereas the use of sexual suggestion became the order of the day for a period with Ghanaian films with hot fork etc.

It may be that this move it is also fueled by protectionism.

Ghanian films are nothing but soft porn and indeed it and other foreign films should not be released like that into Nigerian market with being rated by the Nigerian film board. Nigeria should not be a dump site for all dick and harry to dump their junk.

Well...Ghanaians are just as educated as Nigerians actually.

Ghanaians themselves don't like the fact that for a while, Gollywood became sex, sex, sex.

When the brain lacks intelligent ideas, the cheapest thing to do is sex.

And come to think of it, there is no movie in Ghana they only have soft-porn home videos, while Nigeria equally has plenty home video but we have a few true movies to be proud of e.g. Last Flight to Abuja, Kajola, Figurine and many more.

Ghana, make one movie for d sake of your nation before you start running your idiiotic mouths here

Toktee: You are so pertetic for calling nigerians such names,do we ask ghana to supply us porn movies, what we are saying is that you people should stop exporting ur level of indecency to nigeria, all these movies show how indecency rule in ghana,if you are not happy about it just go hug transformer stop crying, slowpoke

Ghananian movies are adult movies, the big question is; are you an adult?

Why would a sane parent sit with kids to watch a movie the producer rated '18'?

If Nkem owoh running around with his G leg and Mr ibu with his bucket tummy is your idea of entertainment then you need help.

The Ghananians have shown that which Nigerians cannot and Nigerians have spoken through the market forces.

It is either you improve or you take your junks to the monastry cinema, its that simple.

cineAfrik is becoming more popular than African magic, guess what? I see more cineafrik in Nigerian homes than Ghananian homes.

some Nigerians are reta.r.ds, needless to blame the Retardeen that made it to the presidency

Bloody hypocrites

francini: The Ghanaian movies are usually inconsistent with their storyline(u can hardly deduce anything meaningful from them) and in the end they turnout pornographic. This movies should be BANNED in nigeria as dey don't potray or contribute to our culture and heritage also usually ɪ̣̝̇τ̩̩̥ can't be watched with ease, take a family scenario for instance.

what culture if i may ask? Converting every ware house to church is that the culture we need ghananians to fall in line with?
Lemme guess again, the ''decency'' of producing kleptomaniacs as leaders for 4 decades, is that?

I ask again; all of you here have seen Ghananian movies, from the poster to the screen play depicts nud!ty but you all saw them abi? By accident?

Now the patronage you gave them has sent your Nollywood parking, who is to blame?

ghana or ''you'' the consumer?

Ok, i know where the hate is coming from, the likes of MR ibu whose tummy alone is an insult to nud!ty and a monster face that cant but imagine how lovely stealing a peck from Nadia Buari.

I understand your frustrations, the lord giveth and taketh. Bloody hypocrites.

Who patronise the strip clubs and brothels in Nigeria? amadioha?
The commodities on Allen avenue who patronise them? amadioha?

since your educational institutes went to coma, thanks to your ''decent leaders'' has Ghana not become the academic destination of choice?

The same morally bankrupt people tutor and guide your wards at exorbitant fees and you think you have a point here?

Decency my foot!! Bloody hypocrites, even Nairaland ritualists are claiming decent.

Abeg make i see road.

Ironi: These dim-wit Nigerians call the shiit you produce as movies? Frankly this site is full of morons who need some serious schooling. Little wonder your country is so fcked up and would remain so for a long time.

fvcked up is an understatement,

look at people that cannot produce a single decent leader in over 7,923 elective offices for 4 decades are preaching moralty.

You can imagine the insult

Fellow Nigerians, will you please stop calling all these trash produced by Ghanians, Movies?

Ghanians have never produced a single Movie. If you know any movie they have produced that premiered in Cinemas all over the world including America could you please mention one?

Home videos are not equal to movies. We started producing plenty of home videos in Nigeria before these iiidiotic-Ghanians began to copy us. However, despite the loads of home videos by Nigeria, we still produce a few World class movies with fantastic scripts shot on cine-cam, premiered across cinemas all over the world, sometimes featuring Hollyhood actors.

So, what the heck are theses fooolz called Ghanians now blabbing about? Let them mistakenly produce just one near class movie now, then they will tell whoever cares to listen with their fvcked up ascent that "Ghana's gullible-hood is better than Nollyhood, Hollyhood and Bollyhood put together"
Such iiidiotic doggyy-style set of fooolz. You can keep barking

Fvck every low-level thinking material called ghanian. If you came to focus on the topic then stop telling us how better your girls fvcked more than our poultry chickens. Its an insult to compare you to our human being in Nigeria.

You are the same iiidiots who have never qualified for any Olympic Basket ball games EVER! yet got the audacity to yab @ Nigeria's loss to the best Basket Ball nation in the whole world.

My response is not about this thread only, its also about your hatred for Nigeria caused by your gross uncurable low-self esteem. I've been to Ghana for a friend's wedding and I know how your disposition changes to defensive mode immediately you realize that one is a Nigerian.
