Without doubt, most of the Ghanian movies are just ridiculous. More so, it's like soft porn, nevertheless, Nigerian authorities were late in their decision. In fact, anything Ghana should be stripped away from Nigeria and vice versa, everybody answer your fathers name. It's no brainier that Nigeria has a much larger audience for movies than Ghana does, and also, most of the newer Nigerian movies are improving a whole lot better in picture, and sound production. 1 Like |

Please....not this whole Ghana and Nigeria thing again. They banned the movies, if a Ghanaian movie company wants its movie to be distributed in Nigeria then let it go through the NFVCB (national film and video census board). It's that simple, I don't detest Ghanaian movies...some actually make sense especially the high budget ones same goes to Nigerian movies....but on the average scale, I would say a Nigerian movie has a lot more to offer than the average or below average Ghanaian movie. 1 Like |

Re: Ghanian Delegates Visit Nigeria Over Ban Of Movies by Ironi: 3:39pm On Sep 19, 2012 |
360command: This is what I was saying, you people are too dumb to understand anything and it is infact very annoying to say the least. Nairaland is popular globally? Nairaland has maybe big traffic which comes from Nigerians. You have a population like rabbits so it goes without saying that your site would have a huge traffic and it would be noted. It is not the same as a global popularity, dumbasss. |

Ironi: If you keep insulting you will be banned and your IP address too. So let's keep it civil. I don't know why you are being bitter and verbally abusive for nothing trying to burst an artery in your heart. If you don't like Nigerians, then respect yourself, have some dignity and go to a Ghanian site. Atleast that is what I will do since I will never register with a forum whose citizens I dispise. Again, keep up the insults and face a ban. @Post I think some Ghanian movies are good like Shirley Frimpong-Manso's movies but again, I detest seeing s*ex scenes thrown into my face out of the blue. I will say Ghanian movies have good picture and sound quality and that is what made me start watching their movies. However, I have noticed that Nigerian movies are improving in picture and sound quality too so I am back to watching Nigerian movies again. Atleast, with Nigerian movies, I can be certain that I won't have to watch 2 people making out on my screen all of a suddenly. 1 Like |

Okewu oma: I thank God that 98% of d people on NL did not suport dis trend. Did you say support? I live in the DC metro area, when I g into small convenience stores like 7-eleven, you will see African movies, 8 out of 10 are Nigerian movies, because you know why? Nigerian may not have the best, but it's decent. Ghanian movies are just effin ridiculous. You'll hardly see their indecent movies in the stores. Everyone I know, friends, family, even coworkers who have watched the two know the difference. Ghanians are trying SO HARD to imitate the western culture, unfortunately, they do not know there are certain ills that come back to bite you. |

As a matter of fact, Nigerian producers or marketing companies need to up their game. They need to start partnering with movie big giants like Netflix, Amazon movies, etc. There was a Nigerian movie I watched in "independent foreign titles" on netflix, it was too good to be true. Leave all these indecent fellows to get fuc.ked on set, and sell their asses for peanuts...shioor |
