The cross which represents suffering is a symbol of hope. But let's go deeper, the cross wasn't just mocked, rather the CRUCIFIX was mocked, an all christians know that the crucifix with the body of Christ on it represents our salvation and is a reminder of the pains Jesus bore for us. My brother, u r not more Christian than all of us here. If u knew how disgraceful d cross was in those days, and d fact that dat everyone who was crucified on a tree bore a curse, u wud not be in a hurry to strictly assign the symbolism of a cross to Jesus Christ alone. And mind u, the Bible has already said "thou shall not make any image of anytin under d heavens.........." Why venerate a cross, a piece of wood? Why not honour Jesus wit gud works and a life of piety?
