londoner:

So, then you are pro Biafra, right?

According to you, Nigeria had the golden opportunity to rid Nigeria of its "problem".....then why did they fight against it?

I never understand why people who fought against Biafra, also feel that the Igbo's should not be part of Nigeria.

It was a win win situation for the Igbo's and other Easterners that supported Biafra and those like yourself who feel Igbo's are the problem with Nigeria, right?

When others didnt want Nigeria, Ibos insisted and forced us into the union, They forced the unitary system on us all, They killed all our leaders and spared theirs they truncated democracy in the country and brought the evil military into governance

Now that they have created the problem they must wait in it with us to enjoy it to the fullest.

You mean we would get together when Ibos want to and dissolve when Ibos want to? No the sun doesnt shine from their Arse. they got us into this and we would stay in it as long as possible until the Ibo cup is full in this country

If I remember correctly, in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's book 'Half of a Yellow Sun', influential people within the Biafran secessionist were described as having access to food while the Igbo masses were starving.

Mr. Globe:
I have come to realize there are two types of yorubas, the soyinkas (intellectuals) with the likes of fela, francis adewale, mimiko and the real amala people, the Awoists (rascals – apologies to GEJ) with the likes of abiola, Tinubu, opc, nurtw, adekunle etc may God help them

and moderates like Fashola who might refuse to dance naked in the market place. in the streets as well you get to see yorubers in this divisions.

You said the Igbos are the problem with Nigeria....so why not rid yourself of them when you had the chance?

Even after the war was lost......what was done to make Nigeria a successful country?

Or are you going to say that Nigeria was made the county it is, just so that the Igbos can suffer, even if you suffer too?

As the Igbo cup is filling, so is that of your own people........ALL are drinking from the same cup are we not?

If it is bitter to the Igbos, it is bitter for your own people.

Come to think of it.................

The Nigeria of today, is that down to Igbo leadership or presidency alone?

The military era......was it headed by the Igbos?

So....how did the Igbos alone get Nigeria into this?

Was it an absolute necessity for Nigeria after the war, to be run into the ground all these years? Sucessively and by ALL tribes?

Today in 2012, Nigerians from all regions want out, it seems that sadly many now want their own Biafra.

Are you really being truthful with yourself, that the state of Nigeria as we know it is all down to the Igbos?

That is an untruth my friend........if you put your own personal feelings towards the Igbos aside and look objectively, there is no way you can honestly make that claim.

The problems with Nigeria stems from bringing completely different people under one roof to live which was Masterminded by the Ibos- Azikwe

The second problem was allowing the military into governance and truncating a democracy. This was done by Ibos

Killing other people and sparing your own is definitely the height of "in-your-face" tribalism and it was started by Ibos

Bringing the unitary system into the country was another point and this was done by another Ibo

There is no problem in Nigeria today that you wont trace to those above

gerald28: @ Alj hareem, Do you think it is easy to forgive Evil act of such magnitude do you know that there is no family in the whole igbo land that did not lose their loved ones in that war. It is not about verbal apology, but putting things in place to make sure igbos are fully incooperated into the society. The federal government has to start fixing the federal roads in all South eastern states and make sure there is Federal presence in all the region, they should map out like say 20 billion naira for total construction of the whole south-east, that is how it is done in a sane country. That igbos statered to have some sense of belonging in this hell hole called Nigeria is because Jonathan is in charge.... had it been a Yoruba man or Hausa man, things will still be the same as it used to be, what did Obasanjo the evil man did for the igbos, what did Yarua Dua did, though he was a nice person, but his kins men wouldn't let him be. igbos needs to be rehabilitation, that is the only way Ndigbo will forget all that happened, they shouldn't be sidelined in the scheme of things, else peace, harmony, progress, love, unity will continue to elude Nigeria. Thank you my brother.

I don't know but Gown did something like that incluidng the inclusion of the Biafran amry into the recognition o fthe military retiree. Now that said, like al harem has stated enough sorry has being said.Is either you are accepting it and moving on or maintain and everlasting war stance.Person don tire. This has happened and past abi make they go revive the dead or what?Abegi make person hear word.Una no kill others for the war?Have you made peace with any of your victims in the war?

People do not have selective memory.....lol

Is an apology actually genuine, when you have to pause between anti- Igbo rantings to say it?

I have to say @ Alj Hareem.....I have seen you write so many anti Igbo posts here, that your present "apology" is hard to take seriously.

You usually come off as DECIDEDLY anti Igbo................

Next week, maybe you will back to your usual anti Igbo rantings...........lol

I still think you're an ok dude though.....lol

I don't believe people should say sorry for something, if they believe they were right the first time, and would do the same again.

The fact that people don't actually regret that millions were starved in the first place, is the distressing seed of the problem in Nigeria.

If tribes are to stay in Nigeria, they should do so with knowledge of the reality and not some rose tinted idea of a nation like others.......Nigeria is not like other nations and lacks the cohesiveness to express true nationhood and citizenship.

If it functioned as a true federal system, this would not be as much of a hindrance as it is now.

If every "region" could have much more independence away from the centre.........there could
be a more loose association within the country.......while we actually build a true sense of belonging to regions, and THEN a more NATURAL growth to national identity.
