The reality is that we have had our moments that things weren't exactly perfect and during this times i did exactly what i'd do if she were my real mother. By the way she never refers to me as her daughter-in-law but her daughter

In my opinion its a thing of luck, Some are lucky to have mothers-in-law who fall in love with them at first sight  , some people end up with mothers-in-law who fall in love with them as time goes on   and then there are some that are less lucky than others and get assigned to mothers-in-law who'll never think you're good enough for their sons or just have a special dislike for you . That's something i'll never wish for even my worst enemy, its a decription of hell on earth. I remember a film with the name (demons-in-law)

My advice to mothers-in-law is to treat your daughters-in-law as you'ld want your own dughters to be treated
