I'm trying that at the moment. Checking periodically to see if earlier dates could pop up.

My employer can email the Consul General, because they recently told me they're doing their best on their end. I'm applying via the Abuja vfs center though.

Can you confirm if this email: visas.abuja-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr is that of the Abuja Consul General?

Regarding travel health insurance, vfs told me it isn't necessary and only requirements that were mentioned on the French visa application site are mandatory.

An ID photograph is required for the talent visa. Can one use the national ID card for this requirement?

And lastly, can one book for appointment and lounge separately?

Generally the visa processing time is about 14 working days but because France has a fast turnaround time, I can see why you are asking.

The summer rush might be contributing to this timeline but until you get your passport and confirm, I'm afraid there's no other way to predict.

Hello everyone, its exactly 2weeks and 2days that i have submitted my france visa application at the vfs in abuja, and till now its still under processing.
Its taking time already, should i be worried about this?
Just anxious

That's great. I think this will help.

Not sure. Searched and saw: amb.abuja-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr

You can try both.

Up to you!

Sounds Ok to me. Any national issued ID should work including National ID, Drivers License etc.

And lastly, can one book for appointment and lounge separately?
Yes. If you don't book them together online, that's OK. On the day of your appointment, you can choose to use the premium lounge and pay for that. Note they don't accept cash or transfer!

Two weeks is a long time for France to process a visa application. Be sure you have not submitted suspicious documents, this may be the reason for the delay.

Hello for your to be eligible for a talent passport, you have to get the following requirements,
* Gross annual pay of at least twice the statutory national minimum wage (SMIC), i.e. €41,933 as of May 1, 2023.
* A permanent employment contract or a fixed-term employment contract for at least three months with an employer established in France.
* A qualification equivalent to a master’s degree obtained in France.

if you meet the requirement for 1 and 2, item 3 might be an issue for you if you don't have a degree certificate obtained in France which is a most.

so you will need to apply for another type of passport.

I am a student in France and i know for someone to get a talent passport you most have the 3 requirements especially item 3
theHanafis:
Hi Guys!

I recently got a job in France and I'm applying for the French passeport talent visa. My host, the company will cover all cost (accommodation + cash on arrival + flight ticket + reimbursement of visa processing cost). I'm aware that I'm to provide travel document (passport), ID photograph, contract agreement from the host, and highest degree certificate as requested from the visa application site.

Do I need to ask my employer to book the flight before my appointment date in order to show travel itinerary?, and ask them for the paid 1-month accommodation?

Also, what other documents do I need? travel health insurance? if yes, can I apply for it online, make payment and printout a slip as evidence for the insurance?

Anyone with experience regarding passeport talent application?

I would be glad if someone could find time to provide me with some answers to my questions.

Please stay awake and try to search for dates between 12 midnight and 2am. I understand that is when they open up available dates that people dropped. All the best.

Yeah, minimum should be that amount for the passeport talent visa.

Yeah they are established in France.

I have a PhD (though not from France) and my employer asked me to apply for passeport talent visa. So, I don't think it's a must.

Still got some few more questions.

I have another offer on the table from a high tech company in Singapore that pays way better than the one I previously got in France. Benefits, Bonuses (including sign on bonus), relocation allowance and company's profile is better. Should one choose France simply because of long term benefit and is Europe or the Singapore option is better?

Also, I'm currently interviewing with another high tech company that will base me in Manchester or Munich, which I'm interested in because of the company's profile and location. Is it advisable to wait for this company which might take 3 months or even more to finalize the offer + visa application or one should just hustle to either of the first two companies, and then switch when this Manchester/Munich offer materialize?

Ultimately, this boils down to you and what you value.

Personally, there are non negotiables for me and things like company profile, values, market stability and overall long term goal will drive my decision making.

With rising cost of living, a decision like this needs to be carefully weighed: right now Singapore is classed as more expensive that Paris, so you spend more of your take home to maintain yourself than in Paris (this means other French cities are also less expensive). In the same context, if the take home in Singapore is way better (after subtraction of living expenses), and it meets your non negotiables, I'd consider it strongly.

Other things like pathway to residency etc. (If that's your thing) can also be considered.

If you haven't already, try speaking to a few employees to get a sense of the work culture - might really help you with this.

Additionally since the Manchester/Munich offer hasn't materialized, realistically you need to only be thinking about the physical offers you have on hand.

Ultimately, as stated above the decision should be made with long term benefit (& economic stability) in mind.

Given you are a highly skilled person, accepting a job offer abroad and exiting in 3 months for something else is something I'll advise strongly against. It's just a case of bad faith acting IMO and I know folks might advise you do this and lookout for yourself but that's just my personal opinion.

Don't pay for any flight without a confirmed visa.

Check AF/KLM to see if you can book on hold or even try wakanow.com to get an itinerary.

- Visit the website www.wakanow.com
- Search for flights from your location in the UK to the location in France e.g. if departing from London and heading to Paris, input that.
- Once the fares pop up, proceed with making a booking and chose the pay at the bank option. This will ensure a flight itinerary is set to your email.
- Use this itinerary for your visa application.
