Those of you that are insulting Abramovich and calling him "ungrateful" are dumb cows! Especially those of you that claim to be Chelsea fans!!! What do you mean by ungrateful? Did Di Matteo do Roman any favours? Or was it the other way round? Some of us have said it from the beginning that Di Matteo is NOT good enough for Chelsea, and that the club's Champion's League triumph was absolutely down to luck rather than to Di Matteo's Managerial abilities. Now that has been vindicated, and yet some so-called Chelsea fans are reacting emotionally. Emotions didn't take Chelsea to the top, and emotions certainly wouldn't keep Chelsea at the top!.

Roman Abramovich is the ONLY reason why Chelsea is a top team, he is the ONLY reason why most of you are chelsea fans to begin with. The man spends billions of his own money, and has big ambitions for the club. If it takes sacking coaches every month for him to achieve or maintain the standard he wants for the club, then any real Chelsea fan should be happy about that - as long as it keeps us as title contenders, rather than confine us to perennial also rans like Arsenal. Who wants to be like Arsenal that has been patient with Arsene Wenger and has won NOTHING for the last seven years? Rubbish! Try being patient with your OWN money. Don't tell Roman how to be patient with his money.

As long as Roman wants the very best for the club, the fans must remain grateful to him. We owe him everything. Daddy knows best!!!

Havilah93: Two cups in
May, top of the league in
October, sacked in
November. Mental sad

this is actually funny,
But he has his layed down policy , irrespective of ur achievement.

Anything short of the champions league is a sack.

Di Matteo lasted (262) days as Chelsea manager, longer than Andre Villa Boas (256) Avram Grant (247) and Luiz Felipe Scolari (223). Na whaoooo. Make Pep no come Chelsea ooooo

may ur days be long for this statement bro, if u remember vividly Abramovich was very reluctant in giving him a new contract after he won the champions league.
RDM is still very far from being a seasoned coach, his winning the champions league was solely dependent on mother luck .

go and check ferguson history.... he was never a seasoned coach when he first came to united, two three seasons later he was under sack threat and fanz chanted he should go after matches, but he was given the opportunity to proof himself by club owners, now he is the most successful coach united ever had

now compare him to rdm that got chelsea champions league (dream cup) and fa cup in 8months only to be sacked because he lost couple of games and not seasons like ferguson is uncalled for

and i think its time abramovic becomes the manager himself
rubbish angry

Re: Roberto Di Matteo Sacked by naijathings(m): 11:41am On Nov 21, 2012
So, the only way a manager will be at Chelsea for more than 2 years is to win the Champions League every year.
Win it once then get knocked out, and you're out. Win the league but not the CL, and you're out.
Abramovich needs to stop this merry-go-round of sackings.
soon he will run out of coaches to employ and end up having to allow JT and his bum chum Lampard to run the club just like they are constructively doing now
Re: Roberto Di Matteo Sacked by ckardray(m): 11:42am On Nov 21, 2012
Really I dunno what to say....
I love RDM so much,
thought his lack of resources cost him alot
when he was the gaffer at WBA, but getting to Chelsea
I knew he was going to be a better manager
which he had proved, winning statistics of 57% in all matches in his care is a definition of
success, Roman seems not to understand the thread
that Oct/Nov for Chelsea is always an off period (but it could be changed anyway)
so i think its an unfair for RDM giving to us what we have always wanted ''the big-eared cup''
and making the chelsea a name that is enviable when it comes to ''luck''........

RDM go on and achieve in your future endeavour, You will always be a legend
Remember that ROMAN is but a passionate business man. His investment are so much of a priority to him

Why not sack Torres 2. He's the striker that can't strike. I think Abrahamovic just dislikes RDM. Moreso, Roberto Di Matteo & Chelsea Board should have given Drogba that two years contract he demanded.
Re: Roberto Di Matteo Sacked by eikeem(m): 11:43am On Nov 21, 2012
RDM must have seen this coming. It's only a matter of time before football clubs become the toys of the billionaires;and when they are tired, they'll move on to the 'next big thing' - but not before killing many people's career and spirit.

Re: Roberto Di Matteo Sacked by AdoredLydkim2: 11:45am On Nov 21, 2012
All I have to say is that abra is killing the club as the day goes by. Has he forgotten that chelsea was in this same state last season when Di mateo took over from AVB? For crying out loud: what kinda board decision is that? I'm beginning to lose interest in that club. If he (abra) could react like this each time the club is facing hard times, then I wonder how he became a billionaire and have managed to remain there despite some financial crises he has been faced with. But no matter what, I make bold to state that DI MATEO lives in the lineage of MORINHO. He is indeed, the "SPECIAL ONE"... All the best man!
airmark: Chelsea Football Club has parted company this morning with Manager Roberto Di Matteo.

The team's recent performances and results have not been good enough and the owner and the Board felt that a change was necessary now to keep the club moving in the right direction as we head into a vitally important part of the season.

The club faces a difficult task ahead in qualifying for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League as well as maintaining a strong challenge for the top of the Premier League while competing in three other cup competitions. Our aim is to remain as competitive as possible and challenge strongly on all fronts.

The owner and the Board would like to thank Roberto for all he has done for the club since taking over in March. Roberto helped guide us to an historic Champions League victory and a seventh FA Cup. We will never forget the huge contribution he has made to this club's history and he will always be welcome at Stamford Bridge.

The club will be making an announcement shortly regarding a new first team manager.

I can't even imagine how any sane Chelsea fan would refer to Abramovich as an ingrate. Do you know what 'ingrate' even means? Without this man, Chelsea would probably be languishing in mid-table season after season. He came on board to create a champions mentality and instil a sense of entitlement in the club (unlike other clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham that are always happy with 4th place). He has proved that he is ready to do whatever it takes to keep the club up there at the very top. What else can real fans ask for?

Any Chelsea fan who knows anything about gratitude would NEVER utter a negative word about Roman Abramovich. Goodness.

This has got to be the joke of the decade.

Roman never liked di mateo anyway, had been looking for an opportunity to sack him.

The first part of your post was good. RDM was not doing anybody favours by winning, and yes you need some luck to win the Champions league. But the truth is that sacking managers after a few defeats is not how to run a club. The team started very well this season and is going through some problems, that does not warrant a sack. 9 managers in 9 years speaks volumes about Abrahamovich.

Man City has spent more than Chelsea and all they have to show for it is one league win and one FA cup, yet Mancini still has a job and they are improving. What Abrahamovich needs to understand is that money cannot just buy trophies. Trophies are not sold on the cabinet. It requires sometime for a team to build and mature no matter how much you've spent.

Mourinho won the title back to back and didn't win the third year, yet he got fired! Acelotti won the double yet he go fired the next year. These things happen, last year Man Utd didnt win anything, neither did Arsenal and even Barca won only Copa Del Rey.

Beside when will torres be sacked?

If the english premier league would've been a classroom, then ARSENAL-is a boy who works hard throughout the yr but fails to succeed because of his greedy rich family that is not ready to spend on buying books.MAN CITY-is a boy who purchases all the expensive books but is never ready to read them. LIVERPOOL-is a child who is very much proud of the academic achievements of his grandfather! MAN UTD-is a boy who never looks serious at the begining of the term but just performs in the final exams and tops the class. Finally, CHELSEA- is a boy who fails to perform and puts the blame of failure on his teacher and then his family finds a new teacher for him every year!

And some idi..o.ts are talking about gratitude, as if Di Matteo was working for free. If Di Matteo goes to work for Sunderland free of charge, and then takes them all the way to champions league glory with their mediocre players, THEN the fans can talk of gratitude. People need to get a life!
