Nice reality show, I'm really loving it. Ill keep glued to the family section. I had to think hard to remember my password just to comment. I wish, I wish , I wish I can be happy in my marriage again. I'm very reserved. I'm married and lonely. My only friend is my baby. My life is really boring, honestly my husband isn't caring, loving n romantic. We re no friends, I don't feel loved, we don't go out together or do things together, I have tried o, I'm just like a piece of furniture in this house. I miss passIon, romance, lovey dovey things, love making, kissing, I just missed being loved. I'm attractive n I'm thinking of having an affair- but I scared, really scared- if not would ve. Must say, my husband is my only sexual partner ever, he tot me abt sex, everything I know about sex is from him. I had to turn to porn movies to calm myself. I'm lost. I look happy outside but miserable in the inside, our last sexual act was abt 8months back. I'm a sad woman, wish I could turn back the hands of time. I have tried everthing, but nothing is working. And yes we have other issues. Mr reality shows, what will u advice me to do.(3yrs marriage nextyear o) don't want to open a new topic cos I don't want it on the front page |

The first step to solution is talking with your husband. PS: this is what it is. A "show". Don't start comparing your marriage with "shows", every marriage comes with its unique problems. |

patholaw: u need 2 go see a marriage counselor. Why must everything end at the desk of the marriage counsellor. What makes you think the hubby will be willing to attend one with her? Men usually do not like visiting counsellors. |
Re: Family Section Reality Show - Keeping Up With Nairalanders by Sagamite(m): 11:15am On Dec 01, 2012 |
Tgirl4real: Honestly the chances of me going are extremely slim. I have several male friends who I have known for really really long years (some since JSS1) and I get along with them just too easily. Everything is a ball and joke anytime we are together, I don't and I have never needed a counsellor to communicate or relate with any of them. Why should I be needing a counsellor to communicate with some woman? If we don't get along and can't resolve it amongs ourselves then it might be best to pack it in. Nobody should have to teach me how to get along with someone close to me. They can teach me how get along with a stranger, not someone I should be close to. What are we going to get? Some artificial, hollywood acting relationship where I cannot be myself or where we are faking affection we were taught? I am not saying counselling is valueless, but I would find it a struggle to see it for me. |
Re: Family Section Reality Show - Keeping Up With Nairalanders by EfemenaXY: 11:57am On Dec 01, 2012 |
^^ At least you're honest about your views on marriage counselling. Anny101, I do feel for you and it's hard not to feel sympathetic. Like you rightly pointed out, there are underlying issues that need to be tackled head on, before resolving them. You've been married for just under 3 years - still a very young marriage - and for a man to keep away from his wife for 8 months??!! No, not good at all. You obviously want your marriage to work but does he? Are you able to throw more light on what caused the rift between you both? That is, if you're comfortable enough to do so? That might give us some idea on how to help you. For now, the approach you adopt towards resolving your differences depends a great deal on what exactly those differences / issues / problems are. Your hubby not being emotionally connected to you (i.e: the lovey-dovey stuff, lack of simple romantic gestures such as holding hands, texts, etc) are symptoms of the problems you're facing. They are secondary and simply a result of the unresolved issues between you both. Those can only happen if all is well. My advice to you, is that you should try treating the root cause if the problem and not the symptoms. Open, honest communication is necessary here. If he's willing to talk about it to you, then that's a step in the right direction. Listen quietly and attentively to what he has to say. Don't interrupt, shout or loose your temper. If it helps, you might want to get a neutral third party involved to help you. Perhaps someone older whose been married for a longer time (experienced). Someone whose views he respects. An unbiased person who won't take sides. Hope this helps & best of luck Anny. |

Sagamite: Sir, I am not as greedy as u r, their r plenty of good men joining ARMNAS that can help these fantastic ladies, instead of having them hoping for one below average man sweet talking them into solitude. WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR UR REPLY 2 THE QUESTION I ASK! ladies, see how this fraudster is running around and not answering the simple question. None of u r important 2 him, bcuz if u were, then ur name would be the *only* one he would shout loud and clear on this thread. Instead he is being quiet about the subject. It says a lot about the character of this seemingly great guy. Ur juju is in their minds, and it will b very easy 2 remove it, u damn heart criminal! |

Sagamite: Dem want good men as friends. Na bad boy with money like me dem like. Bad boy with money who can even dash common 2k for hair saloon runz. Pls commot 4 road make I pass. Which question be that? which one is ur madam? abi u think u can care for 5 wives when 2k is troubling u? Wake up from ur dream and b reasonable. Ur vulcanizer job don't pay that much 2 care for 1 wife, let alone 5. Come back 2 ur senses. And which pastor are you planning to use so my babalawo can tailor the juju to fight back against the fire? My pastor is called hoodlums and area boys, and their technique is very simple: something foul happens 2 any of our cherish NL sistas, they come after u and give u the beating of a lifetime. By the time they finish with u, u wont even look at these girls any longer. Desist and run now while u can bcuz ur time is up and ARMNAS mean business. We r here 2 get rid of u and ur myth. |

^^^Not all African men r entitled 2 5 wives, only the ones who can care for that much should. Now if u can't even dash pretty Efema 2K for saloon runz then u r not deemed fit enough 2 even have 1 wife. u want them 2 b pretty but do not want to contribute 2 their beauty upkeep? U should b heavily flogged just 4 thinking in such a mannerless way. |

Efemena_xy: why u wanna settle 4 less? why u wanna help this criminal get away with highway robbery? pls beautiful Efe, u deserve much more than being treated like a second class individual. It's his juju that is talking now, and i refuse 2 believe that a smart wise and beautiful person like u want 2 b treated in such a poor way. Let's meet and I will make sure 2 lick all his juju/magun out of ur system *and give u plenty of pleasure in the same process*. |

chaircover: OK lets narrow this down . . . .I have my reasons to think that General Rudy is either Coogar or Saurun (since they both insist they are different people) How can there be any doubt that Rudy is Moremi? My money is on Moremi but then again, Moremi did sound very familiar, so he could very well be Sauron. Hmmmm, the mystery deepens. Sagamite: While I am won't go as far as down Counseling (I truly believe it can play a big role in many of the issues people have in relationship) the highlighted part is precisely what I am talking about on the thread about love. We have no problem talking to how friends, being ourselves with them, showing our true feelings without fear of reprisal and even if there is. . .we know more often than not it won't last long. Why then do we have a problem approaching the people we claim we LOVE in the same manner? Why?!! What is it that makes the former more "trouble withstanding" than the latter? What are the possibilities that Anny's husband will treat any of his friends the way he is treating her (heck, I bet he would be absolutely appalled at the mere suggestion that he is an uncaring friend) yet he has no problem being that way with the woman he claims he LOVES. So what then is love?! |
