Very humble family. Thank God for the queen mother's life. I know that this kidnappers must have been blaming themselves for doing this. The queen mother must have been too hot for them to handle. They must have let her go because bc they are now afraid.

Which one is "Queen" mother?

seems like these ppl are more concerned with giving us her family history.

PS: Was she rescued because she's connected to power, or because she was in danger?
.

My Dear you no surprise?

Is she a Queen or a Queen Mother?
A Queen if her husband is the current king provided that he has made her his Queen. This is not automatic and depends on culture.

A Queen mother (often called Dowager queen as a widow) if her husband is no more and her son/daughter is the reigning monarch AND if such title exists in that kingdom.

A Queen mother is not just a Queen that has children no matter how famous the children are. tongue

I am a royalist and a stickler for proper labelling.
Royalty and family are about the only institutions Africans developed independently that colonialism has not fully swept away.

Thank God the Prof is back. How much did it cost Nigerian public purse to achieve this?

The question is not whether money was paid to free her. But how much?

ReachRich: Hilarious connection of events around the
kidnap of Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala's mom
* Day 1: Ngozi's mother was kidnapped
* Day 2: Kidnappers made contact and
requested for $1billion to free her.
* Day 3: GEJ requested N161billion for
supplementary budget. (19 days to end the
year) $1b = N160billion
* Day 4: Senate approves $1billion for GEJ. Day 5: Kidnappers released Ngozi's mother.
Hmm very interesting

. . . .In other words, Ngogo put a bounty on Momma's head!

Damn! Now we can honestly say she put her "American Experience" to good use!

Yep, she's definitely brought a certain sophistication to the usual politcal Bojboju moves.

Well played, I must admit. . .Very well Played!! cheesy cheesy

Most of police report on kidnapping are always full of lies. In fact most of the rescue success cannot be attributed for their action it may be settlement might have taken place

She was supposedly released by her kidnappers.

The kidnappers released her after hearing Oritsejafor preaching the Gospel and they gave their lives to Christ
