Do we still remember Julius Aghahowa's commitment to the National team (watch Senegal vs Nigeria 2000 AFCON)? Can someone remind Osaze of Alloy Agu who lost his tooth while playing for Nigeria. Amokachi who shed 'blood and sweat' for Nigeria. Let someone remind Osaze about one Kanu who played for Nigeria at '96 Olympics even with a hole in his heart. A certain Yekini who never missed a penalty for Nigeria. Amuneke whose runs from the left flanks left our opponents in awe and disarray. J.J who held sway in the middle carrying the whole Nigerian populace on his strained shoulders. A certain Odegbami who played for Nigeria with all zeal when there was little or no reward, ...

May someone kindly remind our dear Osaze that self-management calls for continued self re-evaluation and assessment. It calls for humility. It calls for self-control and contentment, patience and perseverance.

Jarus: Yobo's comment was captainly.

I salute him. Osaze is consituting himself into a nuisance.

Meanwhile, can't believe Yobo is 32 already!
he should be, he has been around for more than a decade now (korea-japan world cup)

what u guys fail to understand is that Nigeria is fast becoming the spain of africa when it comes to talents.... Osaze's exclusion from the national team may not have gone well with most Nigerians. But let's be frank here... If osaze was on that list which wing is he going to play ? Is it top 9 when we have players like i.k, brown ideye, emenike who not only played qualifiers but are on fire for their various club sides, the last time i checked osaze has over 50 caps to his belt but has only managed 9 goals or so (when last did osaze score in nations cup self), or is it the flanks where we have musa, moses, ejike ?. All these players i have mentioned and so many others i left out coz i'm not with the list, apart from being younger/talking of future now/ can create goals as well as score...... please note that, what differentiated him then was his passion, apart from that osaze is an AVERAGE player.

So, osaze or no osaze why do some ''Homo olodos'' think we can't win this nation cup ?...
Aluko( i even read he is a free kick specialist ),imoh ezekiel( 19years and has scored more goals for his club than osaze has managed this season),peter utaka(hot sensation in chinese league )... this trio and so many other youngsters inclusions would have been pluses coz they have their footballing years ahead of them.

The irony is, Keshi took Togo to the world cup in 2006. Your arguement is invalid.
I hope you know He was an outright wooser in that world cup Togo gave Him the boot soonest. I still maintain it is foolhardy to not take your best player to a tournament just because of some silly personal issues!

The man Balloteli is an example of how you deal with talents who may have disruptive behaviours.

Nigeria the Spain of Africa in Football Wetin man pikin no go hear for NL? All of those people you listed lack the experience Osazee has! Utaka a huge flop in EPL, Chinese league na league? Even the drug is pleading to come back to EPL 'cos He is tired of the Chinese league! Aluko, another England reject is what Nigeria is hoping on?

Any good coach knows Osazee oace up front with that of Moses, Musa on the flanks will send any back Four on the heels! If the professor of Football, the only Arsene Wenger rates Osazee as a good striker, who be you Have you coached Eleme grammer school football club before

He wasn't coaching them in the world cup. Keshi was replaced before the world cup started.

Up front with who? He can't replace anyone. That position you are speaking of is taken by Ike Uche. He can't replace Moses or Musa. And if we bench him, he'll start to fight with Keshi.

Uche play like Rooney and not RVP as per role play. Osazee plays like RVP ( not in quality) but in likeness in that He is a goal poacher and knows when He gets the ball it is goalwards! That is the kind of player you need when you have Musa and Moses in your flanks! Uche will drop to cover the mid field order which will do no good for us upfront because when the balls come in from the flanks, there will be no body there! Oh well He invited Shoal Ameobi! Oh dear did you watch the Man U vs. New Castle last game on boxing day? Terrible the Ameobis were!

I'm talking IKE Uche not KALU Uche. Ike is much better than Osaze at striker. In 55 appearances, Osaze scored only 9 goals. Uche scored 18 goals in just 40 matches. What does that tell you? Ike has been consitent this whole year. As for Ameobi, I don't even know why he was invited.

Fair enough, but then injury is no player's friend so what happens when Uche is injured? Again, Osazee's style of attack (similar to RVP but not in quality) is one that we really need in Eagles. Someone who can put the back four on the runs and give the wide man in midfield to spread the ball easily.

I think it is fair to say Osazee has done what is expected of Him to deserve a call up to the AFCON. Imagine Drogba leading a star studded Ivory coast despite His decline of recent yet Ivory Coast know experience counts when you play big teams in AFCON so player like the drug will be needed to get the team going when the chips are down!

I'm sorry if I made it sound so. But did you watch that match? Just before the last two goals came? Kanu was already feeling the holes in his poor heart, even though he never knew what it was. But he was ready to die on that Atlanta pitch for our nation. Watch that match again!

Remember USA 94? Ikpeba was dropped (Klinsman, his strike partner in Monaco was shocked!). Kanu, who was doing fine at Ajax then, was also not taken. But in 1996? They won Gold in Olympics!

Is 2013 AFCON the last football tournament for Nigeria?

Please someone needs tell Osaze urgently that unnecessary arrogance doesn't make heroism. It's a thing of the heart, not mouth! GOD WORKS WITH THE HUMBLE AND THE MEEK in heart!

Name one player in eagles recently that plays his heart out for Nigeria like Osazee? Personally, I think it is a good thing He spoke His mind. How rude and immature it is of Keshi to down select players and do not bother to contact them in the first place?

How many at times do players get abused by their fans when they fail to honour their call up, but Here is a player that is in form, wants to play his heart for His country ( as He always have) yet get excluded for self interest of the coach? Nigeria can not continue to do things the wrong way and expect the right results! NFF ought to know better that these players deserve some respect. They are not tools you use and dump. Surely not Osazee. He may not play at this AFCON, but Keshi should know that Internationally, His image is more damaged by this saga than that of Osazee. You need to listen to sport commentators in England on this issue with corruption bring fingers in Keshi's selection list as possible reasons why seasoned players will be left out by Him in such a tournament like AFCON.

Abeg Osaze should indeed grow up. David Beckham was dropped by Stuart Pearce for Team GB at the Olympics inspite of all he did to help the London bid and also as a former England captain. He took it like a man and wished the team luck.

Is it anyone's fault Lagerback preferred Yakubu to him at the World Cup 2010? Since then he has been so bitter. For how long will he continue to cry over spilt milk?

Experience yes, but it's nothing without DISCIPLINE. You can't keep on fighting coaches all time....it's professional. It's going to disrupt the coaches plans. You say the match again Guinea and how Odemwingie missed all those chances. It costed us the Nations Cup.

David Beckham was dropped from team GB for obvious reasons. He has not played for country for a long while and certainly not with the current England set-up. Bringing Him to play with young minds with completely different playing pattern will be of no benefit to Team GB. So your comparison is off track!

Zalantan is one player you count with INDISCIPLINE, same goes with the Italians, yet when it comes to the game of football on the pitch, He/they delivers the coach's plan and desire. Talented players have issues that as a coach you have to deal with. Even Messi, remember how He had burst up with Eto, and Yaya Toure? Remember largely He was responsbile for Yaya's leaving Baca to Man City? Okay maybe that comparison is a bit extreme but what I am saying is simply this: Osazee may have issues with indiscipline off pitch, but certainly not on pitch. Also the reason football has all the backroom set up is to deal with players like him.

The match against guinea wasn't His fault. Blame NFF.
