By Google i assume you mean the web browser? If so, that's the program you should try reinstalling.

Spec wise, your good to go. Now lets talk software.

UnInstall your browser. use ccleaner to clean your registry

then go to this site http://support.google.com/installer/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=126299


and download the offline installer. Install and see if the problem persist.

Were you using Internet Explorer? If so, Google Chrome could solve the issue as Moonraker said.

Install CCleaner too, to clean out all the trash. Very good post by Moonraker.

1. Must hv firewire port; to aid my video editing work looping to my PC & DV cam
2. Must be able to play youtbe videos in real-time
3. Good processor & RAM, not necessarily big HDD cos I hv several ext. HDDs.

Since you stated that you would be doing some video editing, then the next question would be what kind of video formats will you be working on??

example, we have wmv, mpeg 4, x246, mkv etc. each of these video file format has its own requirements.

But if you want something that will cover all the video format, then bro, the technology will not come cheap. there is also another hurdle you need to

cross. what type of video editing software are you going to be using??

I am also curious what kind of editing you are doing, because video editing can be very heavy.

I would recommend an i7 generally for such work, but it also depends on the software you are using and budget of course.

The problem with gaming on most laptops especially HP is the Dedicated Video ram capacity which at least 128MB is required but 95% of Hp laptops comes with 64MB dedicated video ram. Even Intel that manufactures the Video Card will tell you is not possible to increase it except you update it which if done, will still remain the same. Well, to cut the long story short, i CAN modify intel video card to 1024mb...PM me if interested.

Throw away the system....

Just disable all your startup programs, and reboot to check it out

You have too many applications running at startup. You need to reduce those application.

Press the Windows key plus R on your keyboard.

type msconfig

Select Startup and untick the programs you dont need.

Hit apply and restart.

Let me know if things improve.

Nothing personal but your graphics card is not gaming card. END OF STORY. Doesnt matter who much graphics
